As somebody who is a European and loves democracy and freedom, I wish you a happy travel to wherever you want to go. I hope it's not a Western country.

But thinking with the same logic, all the other war and/or dictatorship refugees (from Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan,...) would probably also prefer living in their own countries without the fear of terror, torture and death. Also please do consider Oman. It’s a beautiful truly Islamic country. The Omani Arabs are most respectful and calm people. I loved living there. \nYou can drive and visit dubai in 4 hours. Believe me you don’t want to live there. It’s like Disney land. Visit have loads of fun then return home to wonderful Oman. If you work there as an expat you are provided lovely accommodation, tax free income and a tickets to your home country every year during your month off. \nIt’s super clean and many US, Canadian, European expats extend their contracts to stay longer because of the luxurious lifestyle.

This is actually a cop out for an answer. it is the responsibility of neighbouring states to take in refugees during times of crisis. Even far poorer nations such as Kenya have hosted refugees from neighbouring countries such as Somalia. If anything this answer just highlights both Saudi and wider Arab hypocrisy when dealing with refugee crises in their backyards. Also yes I totally understand why this question was asked as often a lot of European states have taken in refugees from middle eastern countries whilst the neighbouring gulf states have taken none.

People think that's Toronto's problem, the fact is, the whole world became more expensive after COVID-19. You won't find any place on Earth reasonably priced. Turkish apartments went up 300% in price, and Top European countries - same picture. Only Asia is still somewhere cheap, but prices went up there as well. People blame their governments, but the fact is, the whole world stopped for 2 years, and we got consequences.

I grew up under communism, so logically as soon I got away, was looking for a free and democratic country. Back then the West and Canada was a different country/ value system. No freedom left, the restrictions on speech is worse now than under communism, also the presence of the surveillance state getting more obvious. Covid tyranny should be an eye opener for everyone. Talking about the mystery why average dead rate went up suddenly still a no-no. The best way to illustrate how bad direction Canada is heading, Ukrainian refugees are leaving Canada! Of course they don't go back to die for US geopolitical intersts, but try to settle in a European country.

Well, as a person who grew up in a Muslim community, I respect your view but I disagree with Azan being loudly heard. I just hate it. It is like a noise interrupting in the daily life. I moved to Canada in 2016, I have a university degree in engineering from a European country, and I have realized without a Canadian degree and experience it's really hard to find a job, I did my research and started to learn coding online. I worked on my Software dev portfolio (github, resume) and started to apply for jobs. Now working as a dev for a tech company in Toronto. I was paying a few years back 1400 for a basement... I working remotely so I decided to leave Canada and move to a more affordable country now I pay 1000 for an amazing Budapest downtown apartment.

Im 58 from the philippines. In the 80s a lot of my friends immigrated to the us, canada, and other european countries. 30 yrs later after holding many jobs and getting laid off many times they never progressed beyond basic paycheck to paycheck existence. Many of them returned broken and broke. Whereas those who stayed in the philippined progressed in their careers and professions and became top people. Best decision of my life NOT to immigrate.

We lived in Canada for a year and found the country very expensive and on average not as highly developed as western European countries. The people are extremely friendly, sometimes even uncomfortably friendly, and it is a meritocracy par excellence.

We left Canada 3 years ago, for similar reasons, and although we are not Muslims, Canada treats Christians no better, we were just as outraged by what we saw, and this Canada of today is nothing like what it was. As an Eastern European I was also excluded, the only people who stood by me in college were my Muslim classmates. I wish you a best!

A lot of people from Western countries are moving to European End Asian Countries. Singapore happens to that list as a place to move to you might be better off going back. I don't know why you would have moved to Canada in the first place. There are way better places to go that are warmer cheaper to live and you have more freedom

I live in germany and am currently struggling so much with coming to terms that I have to live here. The government and media‘s attitude towards the Palestinian struggle is so frustrating to witness. I‘m not too religious and don‘t wear the hijab, but still the societal shift against anything non-european is being felt by all of my peers and myself. Many people from Eastern European countries used to immigrate to Canada. Not any longer because now they wouldn't be better off in Canada than in their home countries. Canada is no longer an attractive destination for most people. It is incredible how the country got ruined in just 20 years. That's a feat few governments managed to accomplish.

There is nothing English, nothing British, nothing European on them. Why such people want to live in western countries? There are more than 50 Muslim countries, in most of them there is peace, some are very, very rich.
