I think Surrey, BC would give Brampton a run for the money on that title. 30 years ago Surrey was known as Little India. There are street signs that are not in English or French but in Punjabi. When my children were small, the notices from school were written in English, Punjabi & Korean.

Adopt our culture or we will get you OUT, amicably and respectfully! And no we will not create haven like Surrey, Richmond, Brampton or Vancouver...we are noticing the imnpact and scrapping the political correctness implemented by illiberal movements!

Brampton is not an isolated case. Look at Markham, Richmond Hill, Pickering, etc. and you will see a large percentage of ethnic groups.

My mom is in her seventies and grew up in Brampton. She hasn't been there for more then 15 yrs. I told her not to go. She would cry seeing what happened to her little home town.

I left Brampton in the 90s. Best decision that was ever made.

You think Brampton is bad, what about Surrey BC. There are some parts of Surrey you can't tell what country your in, then you got to mention Vancouver where we are quoted as the most Asian city in Canada. All sad but true. When I was a Court Reporter & Clerk in courts in southern Ontario, I was assigned briefly to the courts that served the Brampton area. They were short staffed, but more significantly, the judges there had to take relatively short leaves of absence every so often because the violent crimes involving machetes were prevalent and in the Young Offender demographic as well. It definitely wasn't typical of other courts in Ontario where I worked.

Why do so many Indians want to live in Brampton? Because there are already lots of Indians there. In other words, they want to live around their own kind, but with a standard of living they did not create. It's parasitic, and the people who DID create that standard of living are denied that same right. Anti-racist is just code for anti-white. The politicians who are responsible for this should be facing life in prison, and that's only because Canada does not have capital punishment.

Brampton is what the entire country will look like in a few decades. I live in Edmonton, which is becoming more and more similar to Brampton by the day.

Thank you for this story, Harrison. We have lived in Brampton for 17 years and no longer like it. The only reason we are staying right now is because our son is taking a three year college course and has only just about completed one year. Another related topic that you covered was about the high cost of rents and the ridiculous rental situations - many of them in Brampton. He is saving money living at home right now. Another big problem is that we don't have the infrastructure for all these people. My son routinely stands up most of the way to school or can't get on a bus because it's full.

I was born in Peel Memorial Hospital on Kennedy Rd. I was raised in Brampton, and my whole family lives in Bramladesh.In 2014, because of this, now it is ten times worse. It's a shithole. I moved to Alberta, and my life has been a million times better since I left. I say I dodged a huge bullet.

I used to live in the north end of Brampton, renting a room in a basement apartment. I shared the place with a guy from Nigeria. The two of us stood out like sore thumbs.

Brampton is disgraceful. They suck the life out of the economic system. \nMississauga tried to split from them because Mississauga pays their bills. The federal government stopped the split. SHAME ON THEM. Brampton should have to pay their own way.

The 2021 Census of Brampton is intentionally misleading. The total number of ethnic people who are Indian is $308,210. Punjabi is a provincial region in India, and Sikh and Hindu are not separate ethnicities, but faith groups. Adding these additional subcategories are intended to hide the over whelming presence of one ethnicity in the city. What is the result? $308K is almost half the total population of Brampton in 2021. What's the impact? Sikh Khalistani Separatist's hosting a parade in the community in 2022 with one float depicting the 1984 assassination of prime minister Indira Gandhi. This caused a lot a controversy with the Indian government. The construction of a 5 story high statue of the Hindu God Hanuman which is nearing completion this month at a Hindu Temple in Brampton.

Moved out of Brampton 14 years ago. Every time I drove around there in the last few years I have noticed all this change. But in all honesty Brampton has never had a good reputation.

What an idiotic reporting!\nI have seen Brampton grow since 90s. No one wanted to go to Brampton, it was very scarcely populated and property was cheap. That is the reason Indian who migrated to Canada, often came with very less money started buying property there, because that is what they can afford. \nOff course Brampton has more Indian population, because it was made what it is today by Indian settlers. For anyone to reply: I’m on the fence here, I grew up in downtown Toronto in a very mixed neighbourhood. I do not like Trudeau liberals and NDP coalition. I disagree with the mass immigration under his reign: Canada’s healthcare system has been on life support for decades… inflation, tent cities and food insecurity. We need to fix our own problems before allowing immigration: “we need to put on our own O2 mask before helping others”. Stating that, since the Indian population has grown in Brampton, what’s the solution? They are already there— i know many ppl who have come to Canada and do not know the language, can only speak Italian, and Chinese… to name a few. I grew up in Brampton and lived there for around 50 years, since 1970. Brampton went from being one of the best places to grow up to a crime filled craphole and like the one woman said I felt like a foreigner in my own town. In the 80s Brampton was a party town with a lot of good bars and you felt safe, shootings or any violent crime was unheard of, it all went downhill in the 2000s. The reason the white population are homeless drug addicts is because those of us who aren't moved out.

And where is Ford spending all our tax dollars.. ya the GTA, Brampton Vaughan Scarborough just to name a few for transportation for them and housing for them!! Sure not for rest of us!! And to his elite friends and Ontario place that most of us wont use!!

Not just Brampton!! They have an agenda. Which is taking over our land and change our laws into what they practice at home. Taking over every government call center, bell call centers banking call centers where all our sensitive personal infoe is!! Lots are scamming and get away with it. Fake drivers licences, plus much more!!
