I think right-wing Canadians would like to move to the States and maybe also some that have a lot of money. If you're not filthy rich, you're better off in Canada.

In a discussion that I had on facebook, many canadians said that Canada was cheaper than USA but thats impossible the whole cost of livong its cheaper there, houses are cheaper, salaries are much better and you oqy less taxes, but if you talk about health services you will have to pay but with all that money that wont go to Trudeaus pocket I think you will be ok paying for a private health services.\nBy the way Ive thinking about moving to States as well but I font know how and if I can get a job there then I will get my green card?

The real question is Canada vs Florida because the U.S. consists of many mini countries that have agreed on a common constitutional document and basic laws but otherwise are different countries. With that said Canada loses on every metric that matters to Florida. From economics to taxes to business to self defense and personal property Florida wins. The U.S. is secular but politicians of all nations will bring it up to some degree thinking this is somehow unique to the U.S. means you don’t understand the U.S. When it comes to political and religious diversity the U.S. has a larger population consisting of the entire world its by definition diverse. Canada doesn’t have sensible gun laws it just leaves those who can’t defend themselves at great risk.\n\nCrime is high in cities that have laws & culture closer to Canada than they do the U.S. Which have the strictest gun laws in the country. It’s bad politics & culture which are most similar to Canada that has resulted in higher crime rates. \n\nGun laws in the U.S. are for Americans to have the option to fight against a tyrannical government like we have scene in Canada with the truckers and mass freezing of bank accounts. That is what the right to bear arms was for first and foremost not just self defense. Canada ignores this entirely and instead has the perspective of give the government all the power and expect government to be “good” and act in good faith to the people which it has continually failed to do so. Canada has to bribe Quebec just to keep its country together something that has been an issue since the founding of Canada is parts of it breaking off due to tyrannical federal government power abuse.\n\nFreedom comes with risks but it’s always better to be free.\n\nPeople who leave the U.S. for Canada are doing so for political reasons otherwise they can leave their blue progressive crime filled cities for free cheap safe red states.\n\nI encourage all Canadians to search moving from Canada to Florida and you will find many Canadians that realized the American Dream. Canada’s statistics are no different than Australia, USA and France for example in terms of homelessness and home ownership. As a Canadian who can trace is lineage to the early Saskatchewan settlers, many of the negatives experienced by immigrants are also experienced by those born here. \n\nIt’s ALWAYS been insanely difficult to find a well paid job here. Unless you know someone inside the organization who can pull you in, you’ll have an uphill battle. In order to make a respectable living, you usually have to travel to the north. \n\nIt’s the land of zero opportunities. \n\nJust think, the weather in southern BC is as good as it gets, and it’s all downhill from there.\n\nCanada is completely unrecognizable after all these years with Trudeau at the helm.\n\nAmericans are far friendlier and more hospitable than Canadians. \n\nYou live like a pauper in Canada, but live like a prince on the equivalent wage in the US.\n\nI drove across Canada two years ago, and was absolutely horrified by the dismal state of the nation. I feel badly for this guy. He's being deported while his family is here in Canada. He's served time and I don't feel as though this was any kind of homicide. He was a novice rig driver. He made a mistake there was nothing intentional about it I don't think you should be deported. Have some compassion for the guy he didn't want to kill all those people. Honestly you should have to drive 10 years in Canada with a G class licence and safe record in order to get your AZ. I don’t think deportation is the answer but he should have had to do a longer prison sentence, 2 years community service, never be allowed to drive that class of a vehicle and wait 5 years once released to reapply for a drivers license. Too much tax dollars already spent behind this man. The real victims will never have a voice and their families will never have closure.

If it’s ruled that he’s to be deported(which I agree with) then deport him. If he wishes to appeal on whatever grounds, he can make his appeal from his home country. I personally think that any immigrant found guilty of a serious crime should be deported, but Canadian citizenship prevents that I believe…which is why I don’t think citizenship should only be granted to those born in Canada, leaving the option to deport on the table if you engage in nefarious activities. \nThe fact that he has children born that require health care that’s “only available here” isn’t a factor. South Asian Indians are fourth generation Canadians and are educated, successful and have assimilated with the European culture. When these Indians moved here, they are not adapting themselves to Canadian culture, instead, they are forcing Canada to adapt their Indian culture. There are also a lot bad habits Indians have brought here to Canada with them. One day I was buying food in a local store, and these Indians who ran the store wanted to charge me extra (like 15-20% on top of labeled prices and taxes). I said no, they said I have to buy it because they can't put the food back. Then I demanded they honor the prices the items were labeled, and they said no again while trying to lie by stating the extra was part of tax. Then suddenly one of them snatched the money I was holding and trying to put in the register before I could react. Lucky I was faster and grabbed my money back. I left right after, but now when I think about it, I should've probably called the police there because that was literally attempted robbery. These Indians got no honesty in running businesses, and whenever a local business is taken over by them, it would be downhill for that business due to ethics and honesty issues. They also tend to only hire their fellow Indians, which is completely unfair to local Canadians. For example, I've worked with Filipinos before, they are decent people and they give everyone a fair chance during hiring regardless ethnicities. However Indians tend to only care for their own, and that is absolutely destroying Canadian societies. This is Canada, Canadians should be first, then immigrants, and lastly foreign workers/students.

Think twice if you want to move to Canada for better life without job. This is not a country for many professionals. They will use same excuses used back to 20 years ago to reject you: no local work experience, no Canadian degree, etc. The truth is no opportunity. Why does he think canada is a white (european) country?

I moved to Canada since 2007. Overall, I am happy with Canada. I think a lot of new immigrants has unrealistic expectations of coming to Canada. I started renting a room in a house sharing the bathroom and kitchen with other tenants. But look at the new immigrants today, they all start living in nice condos. Condo rental price back in 2008 is also expensive compared with the income level back then. Sure, today’s market is more expensive, but what is not? But looking at the stock market, you don’t expect to buy Amazon stock at 2008 price level, are you? If Toronto is too expensive, then move to more affordable locations, eg. PEI.

It's kind of crazy that you'd have to choose specific states, cities, areas, etc to avoid living among the violence. While not every area in Canada is 100% preferable, I almost wouldn't think of my child's safety as a factor when choosing where to live. Canada, generally, is a pretty safe place.

Only some braindead person would think that students are coming to Canada just to study and go back. Canadian education is worthless as it is.everyone in the world knows it. Most of them are coming to get hold of work permit, float fake resumes in IT field, displace high paying Canadian jobs. As an Indian these so called students were dumb to leave India where growth is taking place and go to Canada, I think in long run it is good if a few get dissed. as someone who grew up in BC canada, I can give many more vital reasons its absolutely awful here. \n\n1) Poor health care: everyone thinks Canada is so great for free health care. Be ready to wait up to 12 hours in hospitals to be seen for 5 mins. Also, my aunt passed away from waiting on breast cancer surgery in BC.\n\n2) Poor infrastructure: Roads here have been the same since 1960s, but now we have millions more people. Rush hour traffic is insanity in vancouver and toronto.\n\n3) Inefficient roadwork: Road construction can take up to 10 years, they close the road and leave it, I rarely seen people work on it and it causes far more traffic\n\n4) government promotes laziness: My friend who is a doctor works 2 days a week, why? because why would he work more at far lower pay? it all goes to taxes anyways\n\nI can give many more reasons but this is getting too long

Hello I'm a Christian. I think it's unacceptable to want more Islam in a Judeo Christian country. The secular government has already abused Christians in many ways, so much so that Christianity in Canada is dwindling. So basically the differences are minor. No wonder many foreigners think of Canada as US 2.0. Because if you need to differentiate Italy from Austria, the difference is obvious: different language, different culture, different architecture, different traditions. You won’t see that in US and Canada. And no one cares what forms of government these countries have. That’s not what makes you a distinct nation. First hand knowledge here, while enjoying a day at a park, a Hindu/Paki or whatever they were numbering about 50 having a picnic/family get together, age ranging from 1-80 with 20 or so full grown men.
