The change us Canadians are looking for is that the Canadians of seniority get the help we deserve and job's along with a new leader who will actually do what they say to get there not once they get there create new citizens to take our place because we don't want to be treated like slaves

Unfortunately our fellow citizens will fight tooth and nail because they don’t want to pay taxes . Even those who can afford to pay will fight to be exempted from paying including going to courts just to avoid paying taxes . \nLife in Diaspora may look easy and smooth running to those not living there that is because the mechanism of running the economy is well put in place .\nHowever our people please remember the residents in these countries are actually paying taxes and in turn their government uses this tax money to run the economy . \n\nSo in these countries that we are running to as refugees ?believe you me if you are legitimately employed earning a living and with a paycheck then you automatically become a tax payer as well no body is fighting that . \n\nSo our people let’s stop fighting our own regimes on every policy concerning paying taxes , otherwise we are doomed and will be on exodus status for eternity. Let’s start at home and borrow a leaf from these other Nations where the systems actually works for the sake of the people that are calling those countries home ! What are we doing wrong in our own home country ? ? that should be a very important question in our minds. \n\nRunning to other peoples countries in search of green pastures instead of building our own countries and economy we are actually by choice or design shortening our lives and future generations ? \n \nMay our good Lord and creator give us generational grace , love , wisdom and power to change this trajectory . \nThis is my wish and prayers for future generations in every corner of this our great CONTINENT ? As a new citizen of Canada who came here as a refugee, I feel for Canadians who have been here for generations. No other country would tolerate this. I have nothing against people who come here to make it from less opportunistic places, as I was one of those people, but if you're gonna come to another country, respect its cultures and norms - don't act like you're still back home.

As a South Asian living in the Uk ?? I've heard of the Desis in Canada ?? as having a bad reputation due to the smell in a place called Brampton. For FFS, learn English and integrate with the local culture. If you dont, then go back to India. It's embarrassing that South Asian to hear shit like that from other communities, not just whites..?‍♂️

I took someone to a place on google maps that claimed to be a rehab. A person working there came out and asked if we need some clean tools, listed all the things they can give.... they offered no help. A person once contemplating getting better turned back around into addiction

I have some questions:\n\n1. Why is this video only showing African immigration when they represent the smaller immigration group. This is disingenuous. Why don’t you show the real immigration stats. \n\n2. The gentleman that spoke about his suffering and not having a stable place, living in his car etc, what is the reason? Why can’t he find employment or can he find employment but it’s not enough to pay for rent? \n\n3. Using the same man as an example, why is he Canadian born suffering (assuming no drugs or mental illness) but there are people who come on student visas, get a job, a house and then bring their 90 yrs old grandma over. Put a $1m insurance policy one her head and then buy an esso.\n\nCanadian is becoming very costly. I am experiencing this too, but while watching this documentary I got the impression it was solely to exploit an narrative. It would be better to make a documentary showing people working, blah blah and still having to go to the food bank because of the rising cost. That’s a real system problem\n\nMy heart goes out to those currently struggling with any drug or mental issues. I wish for a solution that will save lives and rehabilitate

Couple of years back there was only few places DT with a tent here and there, now we have Trudeau cities every other block.

As an international student myself I do not know how to help once I am done paying 3 times tuition fees and paying taxes 1/3 Rd of my income. When my birth country threatens me and people alike, and Canadians unwelcome me.. What choice do I have apart for being in a war with the whole world? At this point, there's no place to call home. I'll be honest, hiring international students is the best decision I've made for myself at my place of work. Modern parents have failed our country by raising useless, uninspired, unmotivated, disrespectful little leaches who would rather sit at home playing video games, watching anime and aspiring to be the next big social media influencer, than actually contribute to society in any positive way.

It's become a nightmare here not just for young people but everyone looking for work. These huge line-ups are not even new. For those who remember when Target opened stores here in Ontario and the massive line-ups for those minimum wage part-time jobs! It was insane. This has been going on for over a decade now. But it's even worse than people realize. They neglect to mention that female students at places like U of T turn to prostitution to survive. Not just a few, a significant percentage! There are entire websites devoted to students looking to prostitute themselves to pay rent and tuition! Wake up people! If government wants to get rich off of people, get our pay higher, don't just shovel more into the fire.

USA is much much worse right now. Democrats in both US and Canada will make these countries fall because of mass Immigration. It’s happening all across the globe in western countries, UK is no longer a desirable place to live because of illegals. Soft woke policies will destroy countries in a short period.

They have a program called the northern ontario immigration project where they have swamped small towns and cities with immigration that have left alot of places with out excess home or jobs for that matter . Companies are taking advantage of the cheap labor and in turn leaving citizens with out employment due to the unlimited flow .

How bout get all our people working first before bringing all these people in. The infrastructure is not in place for all newcomers. Give your head a shake.

A friend is high placed at immigration told me dude in 23 we accepted 1m foreign workers 500k in on and 500k in qc. 1m students, 500k legal immigrant, 350 illegal immugrant, 600k refugees etc. The sum is a wee over 4m ppl. Also you didnt hear, Trudeau giv cut 20% of the staffs at immigrations. Its a shit show. And can someone explain why the minister is Juju best friend from high school?

Canada is totally overrated by the canadian government imigration propaganda. It has been trapped naive people all around the world. It could be called SCAMNADA. Extremely unafordable and the health care system is a joke.\nLife in freezing countries is too expensive due winter gears, hitting, cars, insulation in every building or house, gas, salt on streets,  shovelling, mandatory insurance for everything, health care is a joke, and so on. It is endeless. \nCanada is definitely an uninhabitable place. My 15 year old daughter can’t get a job at a job that would normally be for students and are now taken over by immigrants.\n\nIf you look at how China became a communist country, it was a class civil war with the CPP backing the “lower class”. You can see them doing that now. The problem is that many of the immigrants coming in are from placing where violence is normalized. And what do people do when they are in poverty and desperate? Look it up. This is how it happened in China.

As an immigrant from Europe (not a country with a high level of poverty or a war), I arrived here in 2016 and I can say I love Canada, a very welcoming country. While I see lots of immigrants returning to their countries or going to other places, this country is amazing, offering tons of possibilities to entrepreneurs, business people and with a wide variety of possibilities. Yes, housing is an issue but it is in many rich countries. I also see a lot of people like me, happy about what they have and what they built. I travelled the world (Australia, Europe, Middle-East, Africa and Asia) and I can guarantee, there is no perfect place. So find the place that suits you best. Do not expect perfection. It does not exist.

Why people are queuing in order to get to Canada when the place is so bad?

You have people who have close to minimum wage jobs who bought a house in the 90s or early 2000s and are winning the lottery with their home being worth 2 to 3 times what they paid for it. Along the years they took out equity and bought more places and are now millionaires. While this generation pays for student loans and comes out making about the same, adjusted for inflation, and can't buy a home. Everyone thinks their million dollar home that was 200k 20 yrs ago has the price justified. It's a pyramid scheme

I think its left for the individual who has already acquired the visitor's visa and with dual intent, to decide if they will bear the consequences of going to the boring locations where jobs are available. Unless someone going to Canada to socialise vs being on a sole mission to work and have something to take back home. Poverty in Africa is real my brother. For most people they have seen the worst in their home country, and they are at a stage where they will accept to work in those 'boring' places. \nEven if there is no 'mad man' to keep one company, at least the remote places have work. Canada was always an enpensive place to live. However it spiked about 5 years ago and is now out of reach (economically) in the last 2 years.\nGovernment taxes! The increases are unprecedented at all three levels (federal, provincial and municipal).

Born and raised in Canada. This place blows. No idea why anyone would ever want to live here. It would be much better if more people left actually, it would make things more affordable.

I can total relate to that in terms of making new friends. Even though I studied here for both my undergrad and Masters, many of my old friends and classmates at school are working in different places so I hardly have many familiar people known around me. Also due to the nature of my remote working job, it's just so hard to meet someone with close connection and relationships with as before.
