He often worked weekends in the schools where he taught. When they asked him to remove the asbestos from the ceilings of the schools he was happy to help. He, along with similar European immigrants at that time built the infrastructure, hospitals and everything that attracts new immigrants.\n\n My advice to my fellow Canadians? You are only as Canadian as you feel, Canadian as you assert, Canadian as you are prepared to sacrifice. Given enough time, the fairweather folks, previously from Abu Dhabi, Dubai or some other haven will sour and move on. Why are people leaving? BEcause in the last 7 years we made a huge mistake of letting in too many people and spent less time developing ourselves and infrastructure. Way too many came and got seated in the usual big cities where things are getting worse. Right now there is a gradually increasing anti-immigrant sentiment, especially towards East Indians, Bangladeshiis and Pakistanis, and there is a worry about having existing culture turning too Islamic and Hindu. So you can often hear some pretty racist things or read some pretty racist stuff online.\n\nThe problem isn't immigration. Immigrants are amazing and we need them, but our country didn't play the long game and let in too many too fast. Right now esp[ecially for Bangladeshiis and Indians, is that ,many are coming illegally and getting a REFUGEE status, paying their own to do this who work in lawyerships [and you shoudl see the scamming being done by Indian and Bangladeshi Canadians who are just taking their former countrymen for everything they are worth!]: Canada is like a person taking on too much all at once and then resenting its choices once it becomes responsible for them. Between bad decisions and some very seedy practices by immigrants coupled with the general greed to own land....and you have a modern crisis.

US government is too generous with welfare, schooling, healthcare, food stamps, English as a second language and financial AID, and housing to undocumented folks...USA policies are too generous and a magnet for undocumented folks the world over and at the same time unable to adequately help veteran, mentally ill, american impoverished children, usa jobless and homeless, many of women come over pregnant siting the 14th amendment to constitution orthey'll have several babies i n several years, and tgey know better about benefits to age 18 better than natural born citizens.

As a Canadian myself, what I don’t understand is why the heck would you want more people in country when 1 some places in Canada don’t have clean water, 2 rent/taxes are just way to high to sustain two people for food. Even the indigenous population hasn’t even had proper help in a long time. Sucks that one moment the government was helping looking at old residential schools only to stop once media stop covering it. Every country has a positive side and a negative side. I understand that you are exploring the dark side of Canada in this video. However many of your points lack logic. The first point is not hypocrisy as every country makes/modifies its policies keeping in mind what is good for that country, so that is not hypocrisy. We are making a conscious choice when we are planning to study in Canada, Canada doesn't guarantee anyone PR or anything else, you just become eligible but that doesn't make you demand for it.... There are many basic logical points you have missed.... Germany is enroute, but I'd say Germany has a slightly more right to do this since they didnt charge tuition fees for a looooong time. The taxpayers paid the fees. But when the students turned into taxpayers, we have paid a lot for the economy as well making sure the homeless, and unemployed germans get home and money per month. So, I 'd say Germany is enroute now to follow Canadian model just lagging behind by a few years.

My friend who lived in canada for 14 years. His wife get pregnant and they could not get appointment to see doctor untill 8 to 9 weeks waiting. One time they went for emergency and waiting time was 43 hours. Seriously, Canada have poorest healthcare systen. He clearly said that he did biggest mistake to moved in canada 14 years back. He finally planning to move out this december and leave canada parmenantaly.

Lived 2 years in Canada, Niagara falls (ON) To be specific. I was working at the gas station and i can confirm the drung issue. Store was surrounded by at least 10 junkies at all times, The store i was working at was robbed multiple time( luckily not during my shift). The health care sucks, you’ll have to wait for hours even in emergency cases. We have CRPF deployed at metro stations here in India Canada has crack heads, I visited US multiple times during my tenure and can confirm that US is slightly better.

Everything in this video is 100% true, I have been living in Vancouver since 2016. Medical is not free it comes with a cost that is time, friend of mine needs heart surgery and has been put on wait list. The part i hate the most is these drugees are given drugs and support from government from my taxes, I work hard to earn money and dont do drugs but someone else is given it for free.

When we came 28 years ago 1st time in Montreal there was very limited south Asian immigrants. Health care was top of the world..living standard was best with less expensive housing & other costs.. Now we live in Toronto & after 28 years its a totally different country. Health care is verge of collapse. 6 to 7 hours waiting in Hospital, 3 hours waiting to see a family doctor. No housing for new people. Car theft is high in the world. Lots of drugs in young people. No job for immigrants while local born young people struggling to find jobs. Only highy educated from local universities people gets job. Food cost higher than US, Europe. Large country but 80% people lives close to US borders. Northern part of Canada is empty. Racism getting higher & higher.. All these problems started after Trudeau came in power. During Harper time Canada was top of the world. Trudeau adoped reckless immigration policy. He brought people here without developing infrastructure like new hospitals, schools, housing etc.. Now most of students are living in stress here. 4/5 people living in one room. No job.. Education tuition fees are very high.. Therefore, new people coming to Canada must do their own research before come here. 99% political asylum cases are getting rejected & facing deportation. Students will not get work permit until they finish their course & get a job from employer.. Trudeau time is over. Conservative party will come to power next year & they will make immigration tougher.

I have been in Canada since 2015, I always felt it was best place to be in. I got my citizenship in 2021. Things went downhill so fast, now I’m thinking to move back to India. Taxes are insane, cost of living has gone up so much you can barely afford a decent meal. Bigger cities is filled with uneducated morons from all over world, drug problems, healthcare is a joke - they planned for a million immigrants without thinking it will burden existing healthcare with no doctors and enough nurses. Neurologist appointment is 3 years waiting time - it’s not the same Canada it was 10 years ago.

What ever problems you showed in the video is only related to International Students. But at the same time when International students come to Canada to study not to settle. When CBSA always asked them how long is your study and what would you do after your studies are completed. Every student would tell them that they will go back to their country once their student work permit is finished. Then CBSA will allow you to enter Canada. Go tell them when you come to airport that you wanna stay here for ever they will kick you out right away. I don't know why students are protesting when they knew the rules for students are different from other categories. And it is changing every year. The problem is international students not the Canadian Govt. Indians know this is the easy way to get into Canada. Canada is a free country to everyone there is no discrimination . I have seen 50 year people from India coming to Canada for study but actually they want to settle here. Drugs problem is everywhere in the world. India also has druggists and mafias. Indian are in much better condition here than India. Fresh air, clean water, work and personal life balance, free health care, Freedom to live and work any where ...Canadian passport is Top 5 in the world. The amount of delivery / courier / truck drivers that, when they arrive at my workplace, can't (or won't) speak English is unreal. When no one speaks their language they get on the phone and put someone who can on speaker. Eats up a lot of extra time especially when they're not even at the correct address, yet somehow are rude and get angry insisting they are. Eats up a lot of time needlessly. \n\nCanada is pretty buggered, and I think we as a nation are already too far-gone, eh?

Dear Abhi, I am canadian PR. I attest to the facts presented in this video. Students are suffering and it feels bad to see and witness their ordeal. Healthcare is so bad that I have stories of surgery done wrong and person almost died. Colossal level of mis-management is going on in this country. I am professional and at executive level in corporation, still half the time in a year I struggle to keep up with expenses. I am re-considering my decision to stay in this country. If some student is reading this please think 100 times before you come to Canada.

Abhi / Niyu, I am living in the United Kingdom ?? from last 26 years. It is exactly the same story here too. National Health Service is over starched and long waiting time. Lot of crime in big cities like London, Birmingham and Manchester.

There is Canadian Doctor from Ottawa who brings atleast 5-6 patient for spine surgery to Mumbai keeps them in 5 star hotels for 2-3 days to get all the blood test done , complete their surgery in Jaslok , Saifee , Breach candy , Bombay Hospital hospitals and then take them back in a week time.

Canada has become a scam country. Everyone on top is just looting blatantly. Things went from $5 to 8, from $12 to $24 in no time and no one bats an eye.

Rather giving free Health the govt should take that out and then there will be less wait time

This is not only the story for Canada but for most of the Western countries (healthcare wait times) and which is common. Don’t get scared after watching this video.
