The first thing Canada needs to do to turn things around is to stop being a lapdog to the US. But it's almost impossible because the people don't have power in their hands anymore, the same as the Americans. The governments are infested with corrupt officials. You're making the right choice.

This is what happens when you lie about an election. Maduro did not win. He wanted to hold onto power. Sound familiar. These people are running from an authoritarian! If Trump wins, we may all be fleeing too.

If Trudeau wins again in 2025 I will uproot my entire family and leave. The country is spiralling out of control. Unfettered mass immigration is killing the culture, crime is rampant, we are taxed to death, our currency and purchasing power has been debased due to reckless fiscal policy by the Feds, our justice system is lacking in….justice, censorship, wokeism etc etc. \nIt makes me incredibly sad…\nI hope central Canada wakes up and stops voting for this incompetent and reckless government..

You don't really have to sugar coat it. Canada WAS a great place to live but it's just not anymore. That's why you're leaving. And let's be clear that this is fault of Liberals in power. They now try to paint Conservatives as the radicals, but it's them who radically changed this country in just 9 years. And they're not finished. Conservatives subscribes to the norm that made this country great in the first place, they're not interested in radical departure from what Canada used to be. That's current Liberals. And NDP. I was actually thinking about moving to Canada. But the last few months and countless videos of people getting the hell out of there has put me right off. The whole Western world is in free fall and those in current power seem hell bent on bringing us all back to serfdom in a weird one world government which seems to be the way things are heading. The old ways are going ??

It's all fine and well that you want to leave Canada but where will you go that's any better? After all it is your choice. The problems we see happening around the world are a global problem. There are at least 2 major wars going on. Inflation is rampant in most countries in the world and we ARE heading for a global economic depression that will dwarf anything that we've seen in the 1930's. Speaking for myself my roots are here in Canada which is not the Canada I grew up in anymore. Sadly. Used to be a really great place to live until Trudeau and his band of thieves ruined it. I may as well make my last stand here. If I was going to move where would I go. The EU? Absolutely not! They're tanking. America? No effing way! The American empire is collapsing. Along with the FED note. South America? Don't think so. Most S. American countries are iffy at best. Australia? No. They're nuts. New Zealand? No. They're struggling badly and people are leaving there in droves. Africa? No way in hell. So that doesn't leave very much. Antarctica? Little on the cold side. Few amenities. ;) May as well stay where I am and take my chances. Better the devil I know than the one I don't. If you're serious about moving out of Canada be sure to do your due diligence and research about your target country. Grass always looks greener on the other side but many times isn't once you get there. One place that I AM attracted to is the Azores. Beautiful place. Friendly people. Good climate. One drawback is that I don't speak Portuguese. And I would have to be independently wealthy. After a certain amount of time out of the country I would lose my Canadian pension. It's said that where we are is where we're supposed to be. I may as well take my chances, make the best of a crappy situation and stay here. There really is no better or worse place than Canada. The majority of the countries in the world are struggling with their own problems. I'm not willing to jump from the frying pan into the fire. One of the biggest reasons I want to stay in Canada is that if it does come to a nuclear shooting war it would be very unlikely that Canada would be attacked. So here I'll stay. For better or worse. The LIberals won't be in power forever and if people have the smallest amount of sense, so few will vote for them in the next election that the Liberals will lose party status. I fervently hope that happens. ;)

I am sorry to hear this. I am in the same boat. I moved here around 37 years ago and found this country much better compared to my old country, especially when the army killed students. I decided to stay in Calgary, Canada. What makes me sad is seeing Canada going down the drain. While seeing everything getting worse, my old country becomes a prosperous, advanced and powerful country. My classmates back there were mostly high-level leaders, and some of them became elites. As the best student in the class, I could not get position even close to theirs. Only good thing is that I have been making a lot of money due to my strong technical knowledge and the capability to do difficult work. I hope I can at least maintain the same living standard when i am old, but it looks less and less certain. If I realized this at your age, I would have moved back.

Alina hasn’t figured out yet that all countries of any consequence are run by the same syndicate. They control the puppet politicians and the fake political parties. Canada is still benefiting from its previous homogenous culture and economy but now things are deteriorating rapidly. Nobody speaks up, but it's the truth. Canada use to be a squeaky clean country and well-respected around the world. Use to be in the top 5 of best places to live. Now it's not even in the top ten. Toronto as large as it is, use to be a very clean city compared to other cities in the States during Mayor Art Eggleton's day. Now it's fallen by the wayside. There are more homeless than homes. Less jobs than before and at the same time prices for everyday items have risen. Absolutely ridiculous. Somebody up there is not doing their job. We gave the Liberals too much power and they have become complacent. Time for new leadership.

Since Trudeau took power the population of Canada went from 35 to 41 million or 6 million people. That is more than the population of BC or Alberta. Well Germany used to be great, but not anymore. This should not be legal. That's messed up. They're taking those jobs from people that actually need those jobs. It's not easy for people in South Asian middle class families to get these jobs as their English is not fluent so these jobs go to privileged and educated families. They're getting the airline blacklisted by doing this, reducing jobs for the poor in their home country. This is selfish. As someone from a 3rd world country, this is dangerous. I've heard so many cases of people ending up as slaves because some idiot conned them into doing this. Canada also needs to look into corrupted politicians getting PR cause they bought land there through money laundering schemes in the home country. And these issues have existed even before Trudeau came into power. Stop blaming just 1 person, blame the entire system.

Never voted right but there's a kind of immigration that is happening now in the West that is simply tearing at the stability of things. Even here in Portugal, it's getting out of hand. If you flood countries with people from radically different cultures, with radically different habits.......eventually you are going to destroy what that country had going for it.\n\nWe gotta stop this. To answer the question with another question, why do you think that adding 10 million immigrants to a country with a relatively small population in just 11 years was going to turn out well? \n\n10 million is roughly one-third of what Canada's population was 11 years ago.
