Why do I have to compete for jobs and working hours with citizens of India? I have a friend who works at walmart, she is Canadian and they only give her part time hours, the manager is Indian and gives priority of working hours to some one who has a work permit and has been in the country for less than 5 months. They are not a citizen or PR, we dont owe them any thing, they are no longer needed and should be sent back, and if they protest should be deported, protesting is a citizens right.

Those from India are like any other immigrants. They're trying to find their way in a new society with different customs and rules. My parents came here in the 50’s from Italy and were discriminated against in the same ways. As first-generation Canadians, my brother and I were discriminated against because of our heritage in school and then in our chosen careers.\n\nIn general, Indians are hard-working, well-educated, English-speaking and entrepreneurial. In general Indians benefit Canadian society.\n\nI became friends and eventually best friends with my neighbour from Punjab. He came here with nothing and became an educator for children with special needs. He had two master's degrees. One from McGill University and one from Cambridge. He was involved in our community at many levels. We spent most evenings discussing life, and society issues and even worked together on a campaign of one of our local councillors and won. He had a positive impact on all who knew him. Unfortunately, he passed in 2012. RIP Rupinder Jeji. You are dearly missed.

I have friends who are working as teachers and hydro staff. They still think the liberals are the best thing since sliced bread. Of course, these big unions will vote LIB. Hell the janitors at hydro are making $100k / teachers get one third of the year off & with use of PE days, always taken on Friday or Monday, they get twice the # of long weekends as US regular folks. this is actually a really good summary of the situation. just like how India has their bad people who have caused problems we canadians also have similar people in who are just as troublesome if not worse such as the junkies on the streets who I see all the time here in Montreal and cause so much chaos. a big argument which I also feel like is that we should only allow the best of the best to immigrate to Canada. my mom was an immigrant and is an incredibly hard worker who is more than deserving of a Canadian citizenship and even my close friend who immigrated from India is just like that and is also 10x cleaner than anyone else I've ever lived with. the fact of the matter is that we need to bring back those high standards which we had in the past and crack down and send back those who abused the system and illegally entered the country. Dear Candians sorry for this trouble don't misunderstand all Indian people are like this because they're good people like people from southern part of India like Kerala, Tamilnadu etc.., they are also an International students in Canada they respect, adapt and assimilate with Candian values and culture. They're well educated, respectful, friendly and very polite so please generilise all Indian people. I live in the Swanton sector in Upstate NY, 5 miles south of the Canadian border. Our small town sees dozens of border crossers a day, many just wandering down our Main Street waiting to catch a ride to NYC. Several months ago, I approached a group of a dozen military age males, loitering around the gas station at the main crossroad in town. One male was on a cell phone trying to communicate with someone on the other end who was speaking very good English, meaning no perceivable accent. The cell phone male was unable to communicate with the person on the other end of the call (female voice). As I listened to the other members of the group talking, I heard several words and or phrases that sounded familiar to me (possibly Arabic). I was language trained in the military for Arabic. When I spoke to the men, their eyes lit up with recognition. They were all Muslims from Bangladesh. After several moments of chatting, I was able to discover where they were from, that they flew into Canada, were given a contact # to call after crossing and for them to make their way to NYC. My data is anecdotal but a majority of the migrants we’re are seeing here in Upstate NY are from Central Asia (India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh). Winter is quickly approaching here, and many who risk the Swanton sector route will not make it due to the extreme cold. Many of my friends who live outside of town, many farmers, are deeply concerned or frightened for the safety of their families. Many have had migrants approach their houses and attempt to gain access. Truly scary stuff. And it seems to only be getting worse.

I been to Canada 10 times over the years and Canadians were friendly and welcoming, not so much now and it’s not racism it is because the uneducated, uncivilised uncultured Indians and Khalistanis who find their way into the country through fraudulent means and run a muck . They don’t follow rules and regulations, they are always after easy money, get involved in crime, drug trafficking, gun smuggling etc. some of these so called students can’t put two words of English together are suppose to be uni students. they always say they are not racist, then they state that any that come need to have 'canadian values,' which is usually ambiguous, and i think probably racist code for white. as a white person who grew up in brampton, i know first hand how i was treated as the son of european immigrants, to my often scapegoated friends and peers from other asian and Caribbean back grounds. but luckily my life was richer for having grown up in a multicultural environment, where one could be many things, and their was a certain sense of cultural fluidity.

Myself working and living in Germany since last 3 years as a blue card holder IT professional. To this date, I have made 0 contacts in germany, making friends here is a far fetched dream. People just don't even look at a stranger person of colour. To them, we are auslanders who are not fit to integrate in their so called german culture. The housing crunch and slow lathargic medical system makes Germany even less attractive. The government needs to understand that not everyone from different parts of the world can learn German. The IT professionals don't get enough time to even look after their health during day to day office activities, on top of it, they are asked to learn german post office hours. Its too much for me.

Most of my friends who live in Germany are unhappy about their immigration. They said racism of german people annoy them and It’s very hard to learn and speak Deutsch. Most importantly,after many years German people don’t accept them as a native like them.

i have a few bad experiences with east indians ( pls. note am not hating, just expressing my dissapointment.\n1) i went to Tim Horton with my 2 other friends and ordered coffe, we waited 5 minutes one of my friend got his coffee after 5 mins.\nmy other friend 8 mins. and already at this moment they're giving coffees from people who were behind us... which is east indians - 10 mins. i still didn't get my coffee and i asked them twice about my order and these people behind me were already enjoying their coffee...i finally got my coffee when my friends almost done with theirs.\nI barely go to Tim Hortons anymore.\n2) Domo gas station - i asked for premium and the served me regular gas ?\ni don't know if the're paying attention to their job or just intentionally doung it.

When you flood a country with low wage workers this suppresses wages for ALL CITIZENS who aren't rich in the country while at the same time driving up housing costs which are already in short supply. Politicians and their rich friends don't care at all though because they get more votes and their rich buddies get cheap labor.

As a Vietnamese student who has spent 2 years in Canada, I don’t mean to insult, but Canada feels like hell comparing to my home country, from housing to food and groceries. When I was a kid in Vietnam, I heard from my friends telling me that Canada felt like heaven, but things didn’t go as expected ?. I’m just 20 years old and I need help ?

Canadians are some of the most welcoming and big hearted people. I migrated to USA in early 90’s and faced a good amount of racism and hate. When I first went to Canada as a tourist, I was shocked by how friendly they were, given that by appearance, language and culture they were almost identical to Americans, yet very different in nature. \n\nIf you guys can piss off the welcoming and friendly Canadians, I can imagine you guys messed up big.

I've been experiencing so much discrimination here, both in in-person situations and systemic. Beyond what's said in the video, there is also an issue that it's so alienating. You can't really make friends with the locals, and then, after work, there is no cultural offer either. For example, I just can't go to the cinema in German, because everything is with German dubbing. So, you feel lonely and bored. The only thing that keeps me here is the good quality of life and good healthcare compared to some other EU countries where I lived. But now, that Germany closed its nuclear power plants and can't benefit from the cheap gas from Russia, I guess the economy will go gradually down, and so will the quality of life. And that will mean I will have no reason at all to stay.

International students should come just to study not to work, if they can pay the universities fees, they should be able to pay for their bills. Foreign workers are need in some jobs, for example: agriculture, housekeeping, or skilled workers are ok too but we can see every store, fast food shops full of Filipinos and Indians, and they’re like mafias, once a Filipino is a manager, they mostly hire Filipinos and same with Indians. My daughter and her friends have been applying for a part time job in Tim’s, McDonalds, a&w, Walmart and other grocery stores and barely get a interview and never hired?, ahh but my daughter’s Filipino friends are all working ?, some of them where their parents work?
