I don't know why people complain about taxes and all these deductions on incomre....every country has taxes. It's just that it's easy to avoid taxes in some countries than it is in Canada. So you never feel the bite.. In my country, we pay 30% income tax, 18% VAT, 5% NSSF(The rest is paid by the employer), 12% internet duties etc etc..... I can list a lot. ...What saves us in my country is that food is relatively cheap, otherwise taxes are everywhere

I find the healthcare observation strange. There have been several reports over the last 10 years up to 2019 at least saying the US of healthcare is unexplainably higher than in Canada. The cost of medication especially has been blamed. Months waiting for emergency treatment is lamentable but knowing that everyone else is subject to the same wait no matter who you are is really impressive. Congrats to Canada. Where else does that happen? I live in Guyana. Never wanted to live in any developed country. Never applied. Seeing them from a safe distance is all I need.

First of all I'm guessing you are in Toronto or Vancouver or Calgary maybe Montreal, The most expensive places in Canada to Live for sure. I live in Manitoba where the cost of living is pretty close to the cheapest in Canada. Yes minimum wage is $11.95 and apparently going up shortly. Free health care you mentioned waiting 8 hours in emergency but you failed to mention if you need to see a specialist your talking months and you'll probably die first. Yes I know people who left Canada and came to the US to live. It’s too tough there and too much taxes. One of my friends had a very good job and when she got to Canada, she couldn’t find a lateral move job. She had to borrow money to go back to school and struggled to make ends meet.

I am a Registered Nurse in the Philippines, then migrated in Canada in 2014, and become Canadian Citizen in 2020. I tried to be a Nurse in Canada, but it was extremely difficult.. Fastforward, I got to enrol in a bridging program for International Nurses in 2020 in Ontario and I was so happy! When I was about to start the program, COVId hit and they cancelled the school.. Not knowing if I could secure a seat in the program (the usual waiting time for the seat is 3-5years!) I decided to just moved to US and work as an RN.. But I really miss Canada, planning to live near the border, but the rentals are 3-4x expensive compare to US! Canada is becoming more and more expensive too.. ?

I am a doctor who used to live in canada , i had no problem with the medical exams for licensing as its an important way to prove the competency in such a critical field, i passed all of the exams , however its very very difficult to get into the system and after years in canada i still don’t know what else needed from us to get into the system lol

In Kenya, For at least half of the day I don't know where my boys are playing, outside or under my neighbors bed, I'll have my old family friends coarse me into doing a BBQ for them, I'll visit my parents once a week, I'll greet everyone on the street, I'll have a deep conversation with my barber and taxi driver, I'll go to church and the pastor will call out my name, I'll find my cousin and she'll join my family to an outing and remember we have our neighbors' kid with us because he couldn't let my son's go alone, then the neighbors husband whose an aquintance will show up at my door uninvited have dinner and talk about my car. Once in a while my cousins will show up with a full band to play loud music! Sometimes I want to be alone so I go to a local coffee shop WITH MY WIFE!!

I have been reading the posts and almost all are saying life is lonely, here in US or Canada or Eu. So why do you want to come. You can happily stay in your country and enjoy your culture or whatever. It looks like the season that you're filming is winter and its going to be very cold in most places, so most of them stay back in their houses. Everything is available along with all kinds of foods in these countries. May be you dont know how to cook any kind of food and you might have been used to somebody cooking for you. If you feel stressed then meditate or do yoga or take a long walk on these beautiful and clean roads that are not found in many countries.. OR Stay back and dont come to USA/Canada/EU, unnecessarily leaving all that goodness in your countries.

i’m typing this as an american native with 1st generation mexican parents. i lived all my life in suburbs , i’m 23. i started doing online school at around age 13 so i stayed home and basically quit hanging out with anyone by age 14. i feel i grew up online, no real life friends, didn’t get to know or hangout with cousins my age due to their own plans or schedule. i still live a very lonely life but this video very greatly shows why i want to leave the US. neighbors hardly know each other and don’t want to, they instead will purchase guns and be paranoid about everyone, despite all they do is drive to work, do 10 hours, come back. repeat. \n\ni visited mexico twice, i like the culture there, and i wouldn’t mind trying to live out there for a year see how i like it. there’s plenty of good land to work, i’m willing to work hard and i’m ok with eating simple. as of now i’m just saving my money and getting it into investment and hopefully semi live off that when i move to mexico in 7-10 years

This makes me laugh...., USA vs. African culture is 2 very different extremes. Especially when African's come and live in the most isolated depressing states in the USA.??USA culture is a little more vibrant and friendly in the Southern States that are always warm most of the year.. In certain areas. The midwest part of the USA and north states, less expensive to live. But our midwest areas are crumbling and are severely depressing. The USA is changing too, as kids us Americans grew up with a very different lifestyle and we played outside and knew our neighbors and cohabitated more...Even in the north. On the flip side I know any American trying to keep up with a African lifestyle, we would just drop dead of exhaustion?? If you are African, your phone rings every 5 minutes, relatives and friends call 24/7 Africans have dinners and celebrations for hours and hours until 4am in the morning (even on school work nights), and Africans just show up and walk into each others houses at any moment with no call all day??.. We don't have the energy plus we value privacy. I wish there was a happy medium!??

This is very true . I am currently in Tanzania waiting to go back to the UK. My daughter and grandkids left on the 27thMarch the peace and the sun here in Tanzania is unmatched. We have been conditioned to think.Africa is poor blah blah it is a lie. I am.Zambian born by the way but I love Tanzania and always come to Africa via Dar then train to Zambia in first class and enjoy the adventure sleep and.eat on the train.amazing. As my husband (EBM) knows well, our family is recognized all over the city. Either, someone from our church sees us and says hi, the employees at Target, Walmart or other grocery store know us. It’s hard to miss our crazy family. We have three children under 12 years. One must try to engage others. You cannot blame others for a lack of social interaction if you yourself do not try. Do not think that you will get best friends just from talking to some one. Most people want to *feel* they can trust you. Be yourself. Whomever you are. Do not pretend to be anything you are not. While being fake can get you somewhere, it’s still fake. Plenty of people here in the US are fake. You have to find *your* people. It takes time and energy.

I am from Pakistan. Studied and lived in USA for over 10 years. Don't know where my time has gone so fast. Life is very busy in usa (I lived in Chicago, Denver, Orange County, CA and LA. People have to work two jobs to ends meet. Most people have to share housing...that really sucks. Constant expense (rent or mortgage payments are so high people have to constantly work. Whatever time people get they run chores and stay home and chill. You see ultra rich or people on welfare having fun at the beach. I have had a very close friend from pakistan came to usa same time as I did. we both never had enough time to meet up on regular basis. even when we met we had so many things in back of our minds running. I had couple of girlfriends (of course at different times) but they had other boyfriends at the same time. And number one thing they had on their mind is was get money from you. What you wear and drive is what you are. People consider you obsolete if you wear non branded shoes or older models of branded shoes. I traveled extensively in the US and Canada. But in East Europe like Romania and Poland I found people very friendly. Now I am back in pakistan facing basic problems like traffic jams, noisy honking streets and so on but for some reason i feel worriless and relax. whenever i go out, people start to talk to you and you feel like home. everyone is super friendly and is available for help. however you cant really trust people with money though. hahahha. After living in USA for so long I do really miss many things about it though. the efficient system is definitely a big plus. and i have realized that some times i like being all alone for extensive period of times. but knowing that i can meet up anyone any time gives me peace of mind. i have realized hard way that man made martials can amuse you to some extent only. you need live beings are you.

My friend, it depends on what you want out of your time in US. If you want outdoor life, there is plenty of it here, you just have to know what to do and where to go. If you have been indoors for 10 days and only gone out twice, then that tells a lot about your own self, not being an outdoor person. There are parks, lakes, amusements, beaches. There are facilities for hiking, walking, cycling, etc. I really think that you have not been exposed or you have not explored what is available here for outdoor fun. In the western world you can take your family out camping in the forest with the assurance that you will come back home safely. You can take your boat down to the lake for a day of fun with no problem. If you lived in most parts of Africa, and bought a boat, and started going to the river or lakes in the weekend, then the police commissioner, or military person who lives close to you will fabricate a reason to intimidate you and confiscate it. What I mean is in Africa, you run the risk of becoming a target once people see that you are an ordinary citizens who is doing well. Here, not like that.\n\nJust be happy that you are here and make the most of it. While you were in Africa, you dreamt about coming to America, now that you are here, all you want is to recreate Africa here. If Africa was good enough, no African will want to be here.

Being Belgian myself and having worked in africa for a few years, I was surprised to see how happier people in those countries were compared to us Europe or North Americans!!! In spite of living in poorer countries, they have much less issues with loneliness, suicide and depression!!! Also, Africans tend to be much less indebted than North Americans as their banks do not have this stupid credit score system that out too much pressure on people!!! I know that as I live in Canada and the credit system just is a piece of crap… une vraie merde!

Sir I have shifted to UK ..around 5 months ago...I spent around 12 years in Saudi arabia before.\nThe main difference between our country and this country is the PEOPLE.\nIts not the prices..the money etc that makes you feel better. I was earning good in saudia as well but here...its the people..that make you feel better.\nWe booked a hotel here for quarantine and the Pakistani agent who paid for us by a credit card used a fake card number or what. We received a letter from the govt about 2285 pounds due to be paid. Of course thats alot of money for new comers...and as you said there was no payment plan or anything discussed in the letter.I called them back and the first thing they asked me was Are you alright right now? Do you need anything from us? And that was...an experience I never had before in my life. Then they discussed the way outs for the dues.\nSame goes for the jobs..the positions..the hiring...not the SAUDI/AJNABI shit going on at all ! Or the bribes we have to pay in Pakistan to get a basic job !\nThe difference in HUMANITY is big sir...among our countries and these. This is just un doable now. Wow, very interesting discussion. Many Canadians know about America but, many Americans do not know about Canada. Especially Africans Americans who do not know that Canada has African-Canadians too and other people of color also. Similarly, Canada and America are very related in just about everything. I am familiar with the weather in Canada. The mistake I made was not to travel to Winnipeg, having spent over 6 years in North Dakota, I regret that so much especially during the summer time. Canada is very immigrant friendly in terms of accepting immigrant to come yes but why ? well because immigration is a big business for this country who has not much technology export and in the same time is second biggest country in the world with population less then California alone . I have been to every province and territory in Canada country, are trying to paint a untruthful picture of Canada (yes I am Canadian). Halifax is hole that needs to be filled in, people are very unfriendly, high cost for everything. Vancouver is full of drug addicts and whores, terrible traffic, terribly high cost of living, rains a lot a. Vancouver is like California in the US, people go to make money and then get the hell out. Ottawa is nicer than Toronto, just a lot of over paid federal employees. Alberta should be number one. Quebec is a long ways from number one that is for sure, often Quebecers are the rudest people in North America, I know that for sure....... .
