Perhaps its time for us to speak up and get the media to listen to employees instead of the ultra-wealthy so we can become efficient and well rested like many European labor forces, and not become the next Japan which seems to ignore employee needs.\n\nLet's give workers 5 or so weeks of actual time off as in Europe to prevent chronic burnout so we can keep up their productivity. Lets stimulate domestic tourism through this actual time off and revitalize rural Canada, creating business opportunities and jobs. Lets let our newly refreshed and productive workforce create world class companies like in Germany. \n\nAll it requires is we treat employees whether local or newcomer with respect, that labor organizations and companies cooperate to prevent burnout, and we have strong labor laws to prevent abuse by bad employers so employees can have enough time for friends, family, and things they like to do. This sounds easy, so lets fix this productivity crisis.\n\nJust my opinion.

It’s been so long about immigrants from different countries applying to Canada why only now that having this temporary visitors become a big problem???. It’s the incompetent people who are handling and managing the application. It’s a simple mathematics get the right number and set a limit and it should be devided by different nationality not just mostly dominated or only people from India getting approved. I am going to tell you all the truth. I moved away from Canada in 2006 and lived in China up until 2019 (moved back to Canada). I saw China develop into a superpower, hiccups and inflation galore. But taxes are relatively fair and the opportunity to build something was always present. I find Canada has become a terrible choice especially now (totally neutral standpoint). If you didn't get into the housing market pre-pandemic, it will be harsh and you will be either a mortgage or tenant slave. The taxes are outrageous, utilities, insurance... these items are MUCH higher than China (and most countries). Owning a vehicle comes with high costs and you basically need one if you don't live in a top tier city. And then you are overpaying in living costs. Income tax (25-60%), property tax (about a month's salary), HST (13%)... and what do you get in return? A broken healthcare system, more freedoms (debatable), your children learning about woke agendas? An inadequate pension? If you are not in the top 5-10% (and I am), this is a very bad deal. My advice is to try to earn online with a passion and live in a location where you can actually save. Coming to Canada for the experience is great. But trying to build up in Canada is not a great choice. I am on the winning side warning you, Canada is saturated... look elsewhere.

The problem is not international students. The problem is that Canada created an immigration program and call it international students. Normally, you would expect that some international students will go back to their countries, but the students come to Canada, and their first question how we become citizen

Just wanna present some of my views on this topic, as a indian living in Canada, a lot of points in this discussion are pretty valid. Although, the hate is also in my opinion a little misdirected.\n\nInternational students pay three, maybe even five times as much as domestic students in terms of tuition fees, and while I 100% agree that not everybody even deserves to stay here, a major portion of fault is on government. If you want to make an argument, that government or the country in general never promise the residency status in Canada, then regulate the tuition fees, make it manageable for everyone.\n\nIf you don't want to do that, fair enough, then provide opportunities, there 100% are bad apples in the population, I will not deny that! But you called them, you took the responsibility, you promised the opportunities and students paid for it. Now you hate us for that, either build the bridge both ways or don't hate.\n\nI am genuinely more frustrated with the system rather than immigrants, it is becoming a widespread trend to hate immigrants but I believe the government is just as much at a fault. If you think I am wrong, I would to hear your views on the topic, it is a pretty complex one, just be respectful.

indian culture and canadian culture is totally incompatible So Indian people stick together in communities sometimes becoming the dominant peoples in that area. India is starting t0 follow the western model and import thousands of African students to study in Indian universities. Indian and African culture is also incompatible as seen in Uganda etc. So there will soon be potentially in the future millions on Africans also taking over small towns in India. The solution is really, and I mean really simple... Become a PR first, apply from India, go through the selection process. Come to Canada with your PR and then go get your education for much cheaper at a reputable University , not some unaccredited shack that presents itself as a college. They enjoy being Canadian\n\nOne of the students said it best... becoming an International student ONLY means you can study and get an education that you deem better than the one provided to you in your own country. No university having programs open to International students can promise to find you work or make you a resident or citizen of that country. No French, or German, or Dutch University that allows you to study there has any obligations to you working or staying there.

I know a refugee family who both mom and dad aren’t working and has 3 little kids. How they survive in Canada? Money from child tax, pension money because dad takes care of old relatives (actually the old folks were just barely living and in exchange of looking after them the dad receives their monthly benefit), and selling the property of the old folks. This cheating family has now been able to rent a large home and able to travel in Canada and the US, (they have become Canadian citizens recently) without mom and dad working! And the old relatives, they dont live in the large home and aren’t included in any of their travels. Mind you, these old relatives were once working, responsible residents of Canada and helped the refugee family come to Canada because they are blood related. LESSON HERE - be careful of family that will take advantage of you when you get old, especially when you have pension and properties. Be careful who you trust! The nerve of the refugee dad!

P.S. The friendship thing is true about Canada in general. Canadians like to show good face and they're super friendly on the streets. But. When you actually try to get close to people, you quickly realize they're incredibly selfish and all about themselves. I've lost all my friendships recently (my choice), because I saw how toxic they were all becoming, and I've found trying to make new friends that they're just plastic copies of the old friends I had to get rid of. - From someone who was born and has lived in Canada for 36 years.

As a Macedonian/Greek Canadian, whose family moved here from Greece in 1968, I am now preparing to move back to Macedonia or Greece. I am also considering moving to Thailand, Vietnam, or South Korea. I'm 36 years old and I can no longer make a decent wage with my college diploma. So I have gone back to university, and I'm 2 years through my 5 year degree. Once I get my degree I'll decide where I'll live for the rest of my life, but it will not be Canada, that's 100% for sure. I plan on liquidating my condo and house to buy much more land and nicer property, with money left over, rather than just surviving in Canada and living on scraps. This was once a great country for immigrants and native citizens, it's now become some kind of cruel joke. The only thing I'm thankful for is my Canadian education, as Canadian education is highly valued around the world. Other than that, Canada can kiss my Greek ass.

The name came from a group of people known as the Philistines, who were the Jewish people’s worst enemy. Remember, Goliath was a Philistine and King David killed him with a sling and a stone in 1000 BC. Rome knew that naming Judea after the Philistines would be a great insult to the Jews. There never was a Nation with a government known as Palestine. The region called Palestine was inhabited by Jews, Arabs and Christians before 1948, when the United Nations made Israel a State on its historical homeland. The real problem here? The Arab/Muslim world wants the nation of Israel destroyed (from the river to the sea) and the Jewish people removed from the earth. It’s part of their religion. Why are people leaving? BEcause in the last 7 years we made a huge mistake of letting in too many people and spent less time developing ourselves and infrastructure. Way too many came and got seated in the usual big cities where things are getting worse. Right now there is a gradually increasing anti-immigrant sentiment, especially towards East Indians, Bangladeshiis and Pakistanis, and there is a worry about having existing culture turning too Islamic and Hindu. So you can often hear some pretty racist things or read some pretty racist stuff online.\n\nThe problem isn't immigration. Immigrants are amazing and we need them, but our country didn't play the long game and let in too many too fast. Right now esp[ecially for Bangladeshiis and Indians, is that ,many are coming illegally and getting a REFUGEE status, paying their own to do this who work in lawyerships [and you shoudl see the scamming being done by Indian and Bangladeshi Canadians who are just taking their former countrymen for everything they are worth!]: Canada is like a person taking on too much all at once and then resenting its choices once it becomes responsible for them. Between bad decisions and some very seedy practices by immigrants coupled with the general greed to own land....and you have a modern crisis.

How arrogant and disgusting are the people saying to leave them alone and protect them. Yes i agree they should be wary of interaction with diseases they may have no immunity against. But who are we to say these people don’t deserve to become literate, to be creative with modern materials, to have easier ways of making fire, of staying dry, treatment for injuries, dentistry… the modern world fetishizes them and treats them like zoo creatures. Except trapped in a human body that we vicariously live our Luddite fantasy through in glimpses. What if this culture is one generation away from producing a mind like Albert Einstein’s, or skill like Leonardo Da Vinci? Or what if they simply want to have a simple life without high childbirth mortality, and starvation.

Really hope Australia doesn’t become like Canada

I would like to add something here to show my gratitude towards Canada. \nI immigrated in Canada and now a Canadian citizen. The best thing Canada has given me are equal opportunities, and system to adopt. \nWhen we immigrated to any country we should respect and obey the rules, culture and values of country. \nIt is hard to say but nowadays some kind of immigrants consultant become greedy and comming students also become blind followers that they are not doing research by themselves. \n\nCanada has very clear and easy to follow immigration rules that any one with basic education can read and understand. There is no place where it is written to give guarantee to PR or extension of the work permit beyond the limit. Usually anyone taking decision to immigrate any another country then obviously need to do some basic and easy home work. \n\nIt is totally not fare and ethically right to protest in the host country to change their clearly defined rules after landing despite of accepting terms while submitting the studen visa. So my humble respect to prospective immigrants and existing students that protesting to change rules in Canada should not be right way to do instead of protest against greedy and lying immigrants consultants who lied with you to save next students and immigrants.

So for every Indian let in here, you then get four of their family members, often older generation who won’t even contribute to the economy and will just become a drain on resources. \n\nEnough is enough.
