We need to vote this guy out with a vote of non confidence because he has no idea what he is doing, he has no life experience, he is basically a spoon fed rich kid with no sense of reality. It's insane he is our pm.

I remember reading about another country that did this. Initially the hotel owners liked receiving government money to house the illegals but eventually ended up regretting it. I wish I could find that article now because I forgot the details about why the the hotel owners did a 360. I remember it was basically a disaster for hotel owners in the end.

Honest question do think maybe the fact we basically protect Canada with our vast military spending it may let Canada be more flexible with its spending on health care and other social programs? What do you think the US could do with a extra 500 billion?

I would venture to suggest that part of the problem is one of language barrier? He's been in the US for 15 years and he's been in Canada for 2, and even now, he doesn't speak or understand a word of English! If he desires to live in Quebec later, he will also need to speak French? He really won't go far in any English/French language country, if, after all that time, he hasn't mastered the most basic terms in anything but Spanish!

This story, and money hundreds of thousands of such stories, are the fault of the governments of the countries from which these people are from. These stories are not the responsibility of the U.S. government. Nor are they re responsibility of the Canadien government. So, an economic migrant makes a false claim for asylum, wastes a lot of taxpayer money in court costs, and is ticked off because he does not get what he is not entitled to. In the 10 years he spend in the US, he did not learn even basic English. And everyone is supposed to feel sorry for him. Sure, when it is one person, or two, or 10, people have sympathy and want to help. But when it is hundreds of thousands, or millions, people's sympathy button gets worn out.

A lot of people complain he doesn’t speak English. I’m sure he does speak English up to basic conversations, but for sure not as fluent as what he needs to explain his situation in this video. If all you do is labor work and never had a chance to go to a school or college, all you are exposed to is the everyday basic language necessary for survival. So stop judging based on a 8 min video!

I'm sorry to hear this - Lost cases are so Rare in Canada - We're usually much more welcoming. However, is it really lost - I have a feeling that's he's an illegal immigrant, which I don't support - Everyone, wherever they are from, needs to go through the system. And The Basics, such as knowing the English language, is a must! Especially if you got a family, no one is going to hire someone without the basics.

I'll lay it out for you: Me: typical middle of the road liberal oriented Canadian. Non white, immigrant (I wasnt born here) I worked in a Refugee housing for over 4 years in Ontario. Most were not war areas refugees (Yes I know there are other types of refugees). I only encountered few refugees from war areas. ONLY 1 person from Iraq, about 2 families were from Afghanistan, 1 couple from Pakistan(I doubt they were real refugees they spoke fluent English, maybe political refugee), and a most from African countries. Its too far for real refugees to get here. Its Easier for them to go to other countries nearby or Europe. MOST SEEM TO BE ECONOMIC REFUGEES. Most were coming from Africa. Some are coming from Latin America, which shouldn't be happening. Once they showed up at our doorstep and we processed them into the system, they were immediately in the same class as a Canadian resident homeless person if they were making a refugee claim. We get money to house and feed them (from the government), and they are given a stipend for basics from the government processed through the Social Assistance/ Welfare system (they get less than a resident/citizen I think.). They then have to get their case processed by the refugee board, and most seem to get in. I've only heard of few getting sent back. One person I know at our facility, was given a subsided social housing apartment after a year in our facility. So they went straight from a shelter to a government/city owned subsidized apartment. (Didn't seem like it was a issue for the housing worker...they didn't report it (if they were not the ones that helped the person to get it), they were white, the housed person was Latin. This refugee claimant, and then month or two new Canadian resident person was given an apartment in a prime area of the city, instead of the 1000's of Canadians, those who came before them, and born Canadian citizens on an extremely long waiting list. How this was allowed to happen I don't know. The person was probably sucking on someone's straw. I'm just trying to think the barriers these people have to go through to get a job here. We are far removed from the time of the 80's and 90's., and housing and jobs are so hard to get. Canada is VERY VERY merit based don't get it twisted. It took my parents years to get a visa to leave Nigeria and come here, Canada is not some paradise, it's a country chances are if you can't get legal citizenship in the states, you'd be VERY lucky to get it Canada. Basically your chances are little to none.

America has free healthcare basically, it's called Medicaid, I wouldn't say I'm poor at all, which is what people think you have to be to qualify. I'd say normal middle class, husband works in a factory making decent money and we qualify for it, but yes healthcare is ridiculous, even Medicaid doesn't cover everything.

The only reason Christianity can exist in modern Liberal democracies is because it has had reformation, endured the enlightenment and the age of reason, it done away with theocracy and adapted to existing in the secular free societies that brought us to the modern age. \nIslam has not had a reformation. Regarding the girl who received less while wearing the veil than when wearing nothing/ a hijab: Don't get me wrong the things some poeple said to her were horrible, but i think its just natural that someone would be more willing to donate to someone whose face is clearly visible as they could be more sympathetic towards them based on their expressions and such. After all, would you donate to someone who was wearing a hockey mask or a balaclava? (I'm not implying that these are in any way the same, but remember that the Qaran does not state that they have to wear a full veil, just some food for thought). Some may argue that this intrudes on basic human facial expressions to one another.) Not only can people feel uneasy when they see someone in a burqa, but it can also be dangerous to the very person underneath it. The burqa isolates women from others and can hide evidence of abuse or assault. It advocates segregation of muslim women in public, which is blatant discrimination within itself, whichever way you look at it!!!

Some of these are kind of ridiculous or just coincidental.. especially the police thing. A black guy did the crime, it wouldn't make sense to receive information from witnesses about a black male, and then police only check the white males... It's basic forensics. Tolerance is not a one way street. As a older Canadian born and bred, but now in Europe because of marriage, I can see things farther toward the wall than most of you perhaps in Brandon, Thunder Bay, Charlottetown, Whitby, Kamloops, Red Deer, etc. This is extremely dangerous. A few muslims are o.k., as they may assimilate to Canadian values of 'PEACE, ORDER, and GOOD GOVERNMENT'. We have separation of church and state in Canada, and fought very hard for it, with a history of bloody wars in Europe to show for it.
