I use to be able to go anywhere and get a job , now no longer can get a simple part time job cause of the influx of migration ?

They dont come here to work, they live on social services and food banks and anything else free..this needs to stop..over populated countries need to deal with their own issues not send them west..for those who dont believe this, go visit the citys and see all the little baghdad an pakistan parts in the citys..edmonton for example, everyone knows it east indians who live there, only a matter of time till black neighborhoods pop up..

They say part of it is due to the birth rate. If they just made like more affordable people would start wanting children again. As of right now it's hard enough to support ourselves without children.

There are 190+ countries in this world ... why are the majority of newcomers to the GTA from India? Shouldn't there be a balance? The bigger issue ... with the lack of housing and the lack of jobs, why are we accepting so many newcomers in the first place? This just doesn't make sense. Now, it's really hard to find a part-time job as student and our healthcare system is plummeting as well. Why we keep accepting them when we can't even afford to help our own citizens? This current government needs to step-down now; we don't speak for them. The fact that these people are able to rally in our country is absurd and they don't even have the rights in our country. This shows how weak the Canadian law is. They don't respect us and they mock our system.

I am sorry to say this, but what will happen when automation starts taking over jobs. Where will these people go. UK and parts of Europe already start mass deportation. Majority of the jobs are set to be taking over by automation.

I know I am going to take quite a bit of flack here... as long as the international students follows the rules, completes their study in whichever program, and does not commit criminal acts then the students should be allowed to stay in Canada. Presumably their education would grant them a decent paying job. Now any illegal migrants or if one of the international students fails to graduate or commits a crime I say deport! I am also against international students from working full time, they should only be permitted part time work until graduation.

Had to drive through brampton last night and airport road was closed at one point because of some kind of something, that is being done every damn Sunday now. Now….i don’t necessarily have a problem with that however, we are expected to accept and welcome new Canadians into every part of our country but if I tried to go into whatever they are doing, I would not be be accepted and that’s wrong. Sorry, but I didn't know 'so many people' were leaving Canada. In fact, my European friends living in Canada, LOVE Canada. Their number one reason? The government is for the people. Their numerous benefits, programs and services (employment Insurance, child benefit, pensions, benefits for housing, student aid, family benefits, grants and funding opportunities, disabilities and their recently implemented dental care plan), says it all. Sure the cost of living is high, but where isn’t? Especially after covid and especially if you want a decent quality of life. Their car insurance and phone plans are also expensive but they're getting better. Stay out of the big cities if you can't afford it. There are other parts of Canada that is affordable. \n\nBtw, the healthcare industry, particularly the long-term care sector is a good place to earn a decent living. They are always looking for RNs, PSWs etc. \n\nIn the end, the positives outweigh the negatives. Besides having free healthcare and the many generous social services and benefits, Canada is also a progressive country with strong social policies, including gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights and environmental sustainability, (we’re drinking out of those gross cardboard straws now. Hello?). Then there is our natural and breathtaking landscapes, our four seasons, our excellent education system, diverse communities, friendly people, our cool festivals (The Calgary Stampede, Montreal International Jazz Festival, Caribana, Toronto International Film Festival, Just for Laughs Montreal, Pride Toronto are a few that come to mind), our great air and water quality, strict gun laws, legal cannabis… I could go on and on.\n\nIf you're able to afford living in Canada, consider yourself fortunate.

It's sad that so many Canadians have to move from their hometowns/provinces in droves to financially survive and get ahead a little. Unfortunately, the droves of people fleeing Ontario and BC are driving up prices now (to buy/rent) in other parts of Canada like Alberta and Atlantic Canada where this is having a trickle effect creating Albertans, Nova Scotians, etc. to be homeless and strains on their provincial healthcare systems. It's a sad state of affairs, and I do not think a politician can fix this, unless they start demanding more and curtailing the power of corporations. A big rebalance needs to occur, but it seems unlikely when politicians and business leaders are on the same side (aka corruption / conflict of their own interests). Canada needs a division between government and business which is the case in many Scandinavian countries.

Canada is very expensive. One of my friend who had moved there with her husband and is employed and well paid as usual in IT industry says it is much more difficult even with double salary on the higher levels to sustain in parts of Canada like Vancouver as the prices are extremely high including rental and commodity prices.\n\nI had tried for Canada but could not gather enough points due to my age, probably it has turned out a blessing

My family moved to Montréal from the largest Greek island Crete in 1965 when I was 9 got a great education worked in mechanical/ engineering design 44 years and simultaneously 33 years as media/wedding and sports photographer as I work with top major sports team’s photographer. I’m now retired and thinking after visiting my hometown in Chania Crete the last 6-7 years I have met people that are offering me teaching jobs in AutoCAD tutoring or even night school teaching sports photography as I have a portfolio in many different sports of 40 years .. I’m proud born Greek and never gave up of my goals as I was the only Greek of 2,000 employees for a tool designer and pattern designer for a Pulp and Paper manufacturing company for 10 years in the 80s. Planning to visit again in October 2024 when schools open and kind of give back to my hometown Chania Crete.. life there is very peaceful with 100 meters to 3 beaches where all neighbours are from different parts of the world bought a house or hotel… ??❤️??

The worse part of Canada is that Canadian homeowners have to renew their mortgages after 5 years on average. Meaning the sub 3% rates that were acquired during the Covid years will balloon to the new 7% to 8% rates. Can you ask each international student or immigrant you see on the street how much they paid the canadian government to come there? I'd probs say $30k/person (forms, medical or probs tuition). Canadian government is collecting $30k/per immigrant basically + cheap part-time labour but seems like it doesn't benefit the canadians. Only politicians getting richer. You should point your lens at the corrupt government that keeps allowing this to collect $$$ despite all negative points you brought up in the video.
