Hell there ain't nowhere to live I just going to be homeless once I get here. I'll be sleeping with her cousins foot in their mouth every night. And why should we pay taxes as Americans when they ain't going to have to pay taxes in the government's going to treat them better than they do us I say everybody should stop paying taxes cuz it's supposed to go towards helping our communities and our country and it's not. It's going towards helping everybody else. Everybody else that ain't pitched in

?? okay I read about three dozen of the comments . They say it's a housing shortage on the news ! I lived in Buffalo New York for 50 years ! There's housing in parts of the city but suburbanite don't want to live there! While the US government is sending money to Ukraine they can send it to Buffalo New York! The population used to be over 1.2 million in the city limits in the 1930s and 40s now it's only 280,000. People they've been rebuilding the city for last 14 -16 years. But they still have a long way to go. Room can be made for more law-abiding citizens and functioning members of society in Buffalo New York! ??

They need to stop acting like they are entitled to special treatment. Why don’t they act like this against their own country government. Yes it’s sad but you can’t expect the US to let them in illegally. The US need to deport them like they do with everybody else.

I live in Juárez, Venezuelans here are offered jobs and they refuse, they wanna live off government help. I believe everything should be done the legal way. I’m not trying to be disrespectful to anyone who comes to Canada but if you’re coming here legally, you should be arrested and charged but I also got a question. How are you going to take care of yourself food here is expensive rent is expensive utility bills expensive everything here is expensive, so how are you going to support yourself if you’re coming here with no money no resources it doesn’t make sense to me where the rest of us Canadians who live here are already struggling with high taxes. The high cost of living here is not any better than the USA so what are governments going to hand out free money to you every month give them a hotel to stay in give them free food is the taxpayer is it gonna end up paying for all of this? I get that there will be many here who support Trump, many who support Biden, there will be Brit's who support Sunak and the rather vicious words of Suella Braverman, whilst others will be more on the side of Starmer (I'm well aware of all the other parties but they don't stand to gain as much). There will be French people backing Macron, whilst others back Le Pen. We could go through each country all the way to the battle between Fujimori and Castillo in Perú, and the stories are much the same, but how will history judge us when people look back to this time? Will it be another occasion where we demonised those trying to escape the horror of the place they had the bad luck to be born in whilst we were luckier? \n\nI know there is hardship everywhere. I'm struggling more than most and I know I can't keep living this way. However, I don't want to be a part of history people look back at and say ‘if only they did something to help prevent this.’. I would rather be a part of history people look back upon and say; ‘that was a boring time period where nothing important happened’. It's already too late for that. Instead I try to remember that, though I was born into a family who never really wanted me, I was lucky enough to be born into a country that could support me during the hardest times. When you look at immigrants, remember that every one of us has immigrants in our family tree somewhere.

The citizens are gonna have to handle it since our government has failed us continuously.

Legalize drugs in the US. stop the drug war. end the stream of income for drug lords. end the violence. Reroute the efforts into legal trade. Help reestablish strong democracy. Unless… our government wants it this way. For what reason tho?

The same people saying that they should start a revolution in their own country forget that the US government was the one that started the problems in those countries in the 20th century, with all the CIA-aided coups and far-right military dictatorships. One must also not forget the problems that the United Fruit Company brought to Central America. If anything, the US should embrace these people with open arms. There always will be housing. If the US stopped zoning every square inch of its land as solely single family housing, we could solve the housing crisis and accommodate a lot more people, Americans and immigrants included. That being said, the federal government needs to allocate more resources to allow these people to enter in a proper manner, something which Biden certainly hasn’t done. This is the land of opportunity, people seem to forget that. I bet the coming of thousands of people into Ellis Island in the past two centuries wasn’t labeled as an ‘invasion’.

My wife, a teacher here in North Carolina and I, a hard working legal migrant worker and a tax payer were given a temporary visa to stay and work here in the US for 5 years and we need to exit this july because of the US revise law. I do not understand why the US government doesn’t want to give us visa that will allow us to stay long. In my working place, theres a lot of workers(asylum) from south america mostly from haiti and they keep on coming. The number of black haitian are more that the number of combine black and white american. I would say.. this people are lazy, loud, rude, can’t speak english well yet the US government look’s like they prefer them than us.

When my father's parents immigrated to the USA he had just turned 9 years of age. My grandfather was a gynecological physician and an anesthesiologist.
