Its not fair for people immigrating here and cant find work and housing. We are all immigrants here in North America but i think we need to pause immigration for at least 5 years and help the people here first before we start immigration again.

Canada was not anti immigration when the people coming were needed, they wanted to contribute, and they understood and assimilated into Canadian culture. Now they come, contributing nothing, straining our health care system, causing a housing crisis, and most importantly, bringing their culture and beliefs, displacing ours. Our veterans that fought for Canada and what being Canadian meant fought for nothing as too many of this current generation has no patriotism and cares nothing about Canadian culture. Thus, we lost our country without a fight.

How about legal immigrant like Diversity immigrant visa? during 2020-2024. the pandemic. conflict and Trump immigration Ban is not our fault, the case still At NVC for 4 fiscal year No Interview NO visa. on west and Horn of Africa Like Ethiopia. We need to do immigration *responsibly*. The mass of international student visas combined with lack of regulation of colleges and universities regarding their housing, courses, and admissions is one place to start changing.

Crazy the amount of homeless in all the parks that where for children are now being use as camp sites. Children or seniors can't enjoy a nice time now.\nUnemployment refusing to help residents n new people that are student or don't got documents get full financial support but those that live here can't. Canada brought in 1 million immigrants from Jan 2021- Dec 2023, a 2.5% population increase. That, would be the equivalent of 8.75 million immigrants coming across the southern border over 2 years. Canada doesn't have jobs or housing for many, there's no checks and balances to see who are criminals. America needs to close their borders because 13000 asylum seekers is only the beginning. More and more immigrants to Canada are finding out it's too expensive to live here, and they have no future here. That, will force them south before they choose to go back to where they came from.

lol there is a lot of ignorance about Canada and Canadians here. We are not nice, we are passive aggressive, we love foreigners who come to this country to launder their dirty money in real estate (up up go the housing prices), the RCMP is the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (not patrol) and Mexicans who have no previous ties or status in Canada DO need a visa to enter. Canada has accepted an insane amount of Uber / amazon driving immigrants over the past few years to boost the GDP, unfortunately our infrastructure across the country is lacking. We don't have enough homes, schools, hospitals, doctors, good jobs for the people that are already here. Immigrants are conned and sold a lie, going to the USA only makes sense. Both of our countries need immigration reform.

The thing about Canada is the the unaffordable housing crisis is also tied to high unemployment and too many immigrants coming in from the Far East and Middle East countries. Now that they are closer to the US with the best job opportunities in the world currently it’s best to come here at all cost. If it drives up home prices and rents no problem because the government is dangerous when it’s in debt needs higher tax revenue. It’s screws with the population that’s already here.

It is happening both ways, USA and Canada. For 8 years, migrants have entered USA from its southern border, prob. from Central America, then bussed to New York, then put into taxi's at New York and driven at Roxham Road into Canada. We don't need them in Canada either. Last I heard, Roxham Road has been closed. Only way to bring sanity back to the way it once was is to elect Trump in USA and Pierre Poilievre in Canada where migrants will be sent back to their places of origin.

I am Canadian & I seriously have no idea what is wrong with our leader Trudeau. I apologize for his ignorance & stupidity. Both Canada & the US need some serious changes in our leadership soon. It’s getting way out of hand & they put laws in place so that real actual citizens of the US & Canada can’t even defend ourselves against this migrant invasion of our countries. I love people from other countries but come in legally & stop hurting our people

We (Canadians) have had terrible issues with gun smuggling from the US into our major cities... of course both sides need to help each other on both sides of the border on these issues.

With Bidens safe 3rd country agreement and us closing Roxham gateway, there is just a trickle now. The States can refuse entry too. This is out of control. Trump needs to close all borders with executive decision, shift the National Guard and Homeland Security resources to the northern border, beef up border patrol at the southern border, and institute Stay In Mexico and Stay In Canada policies with both the heads of those countries. If they will not comply drop 100% tariffs on them. Open unfettered asylum to America is over.

They have been sneaking across the unguarded border for decades. The United States needs to build a wall like they are doing on their southern border. As we have seen recently the increase in arrests of terrorists related activities and these people can just walk across the border to the United States. A potential threat to Americans!

This would all stop if all the free benefits stopped. It used to be you need a sponsor, had a job lined up & spoke English.
