You can't expect to come here and get everything free... Was it better when you were in Africa? If you can't adjust to Canada's lifestyle then join those who have decided to leave and see how easier life can be. If you want a better lifestyle be advised that nothing is free these days. And you sound like you want everything for free. If that's what you want, then you should catch the next plane and go where you think it's better and you can get things free.... We're you living better while you were in Africa? Canada didn't ask you to come and reside here... you volunteered to migrate to Canada so you can't expect to get everything free. You MUST adjust yourself accordingly. And if you're bored with Canada's lifestyle, then go live in the United States and see if you can get things free as you are expecting. Canada isn't asking you to stay here, so you can leave anytime you wish and good luck finding a place where you can get things free and you don't have to pay taxes and become a millionaire. You and many others need to wake up from the dream of migrating to Canada where you can get things free and pay little or no taxes. Be advised that NOTHING IS FREE these days. You have to WORK HARD for whatever you want... and be advised that your expectation of Canada is different, so if you can't take the heat in the kitchen my friend, then you ought to pack your bags and head for somewhere that offer things free and you pay little or no taxes and you can get better health care and eventually become a millionaire. You need to redo your video, dude! You underplayed Alberta and overplayed Quebec and Ontario. Alberta was the only province to keep its books balanced during Trudeaus tyrannical reign of covid and crime is wayyyy lower than others. Also, yes it is an oil province but it was squashed by Ottawa and still came out on top. It's better living for families, jobs vary in high paying between the two main cities and the people are very down to earth and friendly. People have been fleeing the east to Alberta for its freedom from government overreach as well. So, you're out of touch here by a lot. Alberta has deserts, beaches, more gorgeous mountain ranges than BC, farmland, glaciers that never melt despite the globalists so called maniac calls of global warming, as much sunshine as Saskatchewan, forests with many trails and campgrounds, the list goes on. I was born in Ontario, lived in almost every province but by far Alberta is number 1. If you want the juiciest steaks that melt off your fork and onto your tongue it's world best! It's industry is kept here and not finished somewhere else like every other province. Not to mention, farms sell and produce every food and craft beer/ liquor at their gates! Alberta has survived zero taxing its citizens until federal taxes came into here through NDP and Liberals, education is the best in all levels, and the people and governments are more sane and level headed now more than ever. The best rodeos worldwide and festivals count everyday in Edmonton. Who does that? It's self sufficient on its own and is the crown jewel of Canada. It's got multiple canyons all through the rockies! Wapiti are protected and plentiful in parks and if you want the best fudge, go to Jasper! Candy shops fan their delicious aromas down the streets! The most beautiful lakes in the world are in those rockies! The images from mountains are mirrored year round in those numerous lakes! It's picturesque postcard images! Economy is better than others and although rents and costs of homes vary all over you can still get a pretty decent city dwelling or cabin by one of its many cottage home communities that have more to offer for families than any in Ontario with low fees, outdoor and indoor pools, playgrounds, golfing and more. Then there's West Edmonton Mall where you can spend just window shopping 8 hours of not even going to Fantasyland, Galaxyland and more. \nYou will see men in business suits sitting next to actual cowboys/ girls in bars and restaurants. Edmonton uses goats to trim their weeds and high grasses every summer accompanied by a sheep herder and mosquitoes are ZERO nearly. Then the sunlight doesn't quit until 11pm at night and up again at 5am in summer.\nAlberta has tons to offer.

I think Manitoba should get a better rap than that lolol. We don't have to worry about earthquakes here, there's no hurricanes, and we might get cold in the winter, but as long as that bright sunshine is out, we're good to go. I could never handle the weeks of rain a nd grey skies like the west coast gets.

Most of these problems are not just Canadian problems but are immigrant problems and some are just developed nations problems , most people will face them in every country they go to!! The uk, us, Australia mention others are all expensive with just a 0.4 difference! Getting a Canadian passport and moving to another country which is not your native country will solve nothing and it’s not easy to move to a new country unless you have someone to sponsor you!! A Canadian passport will not allow you to work in the US or UK you will need sponsorship for a visa _ all it offers is a free visit visa for about 6 months I guess but not allowed to work! Work visas are complicated and depend more on skills than passport you hold! As a US citizen I can’t work in Canada visa free I can only visit_ the same with Canadians coming to the US or the UK ! \nFor the weather I feel you! We’re lucky In the US cos every type of weather you want you can get it without sacrificing living in a big city But other problems are quite similar everywhere! You have to walk around them and create ways to enjoy the beauty your country has to offer! Running away from from a country your a citizen of cos of loneliness or boredom is not a solution especially when you moving to a country your not even a resident of! Cos establishing residence is never easy unless you have a community there already! Otherwise it will be worse than where your running from!

While Canada does have issues (like any other country in the world) What you outline highlights the privileged life you are living. You are correct in pointing out that the health care system is flawed, it is not perfect by all means but AT LEAST YOU ARE GETTING HEALTH CARE. Take the stats for example (I had the privilege of going to the hospital in Texas) My bill came to 3000 for a twisted ankle. They charged me over 500 dollars just for walking into the hospital. I'm not knocking that stats, but if you do not have money, you're fucked for health care. Instead of waiting 8 hours to see a doctor, you're now on Web MD trying to diagnose yourself. You are bitching about high taxes, how do you think Schools, Police and fire services, Emergency service hospitals etc etc etc get paid? through wishes and hope? You are again welcome to go anywhere else and enjoy whatever bs they have going they might have low taxes in other parts of the world but your going to have to pay for certain services you are taking for granted here. As Cost of living, if you live in Toronto or BC yes the cost of living is high, but at the same time, the average household income is high as well. I'm sorry minimum wage in most of Canada is roughly 15 dollars an hour, and the average incoming for most provinces is over 100k. I'm not sure what else to say on that subject :D As for things to do, seriously, stop living under a rock. Please go and travel Canada, to name a few things you can travel to Niagara, Go to Banff, Visit hot springs or enjoy any of our national parks. Not to mention all the multicultural festivals that take place. I guess what I'm trying to say here is, Canada is flawed and has its issues. I was born and raised in Canada. My family immigrated in the 70s. Growing up I was proud to be Canadian but after living in other parts of the world I can tell you, Canada isn't it! \n\nFirstly our Prime Minister is a puppet he works for the Commonwealth and whatever they say goes, they profit off all of your hard work. \nThey keep you sick so you rely on the health care system. Medicate you instead of solving the problem. Doctors are exhausted, rude and over worked, emergency rooms are a disaster and if you book an appointment to see your doctor...be sure you're waiting at least a week. If you go to a walk in clinic you risk getting a doctor that seems like they paid for a fake degree.\n\nYou know when you go to a mall in one town and then hear about a mall in another town that has really cool different things??? Ya, not here! Everything is monopolized! Same stores everywhere you go. there's a mall in Toronto called Vaughn Mills mall, when I was in Calgary they have an exact replica just a different name. Small businesses are hard to keep because everything is so expensive. There needs to be more indoor things for people to do in the winter. \n\nWhoever said Canadians are polite, has never been to Alberta!!!! You could have found out about the cost of living, weather and demographics online before you went. As for being boring, outside of work you have total control over how bored you are. I’ve lived in six countries, a mix of big cities and small towns and have never been bored because the old tropes are true; only boring people get bored and you make your own fun. Glad you’re back in the paradise that is Nigeria. Why would anyone want to leave there?

Everything you say is bang on and I have to say that the most frustrating of all is that the government reaches out to foreign nations seeking professionals - it's called the brain drain, but as you say, once you arrive, they make it VERY DIFFICULT to get into the professions you're trained for. Finally, you come to realize that the red on either side of the Canadian flag is red tape! I have seen immigrants with PhDs working as security guards, doctors working as lower level healthcare workers, etc. Canada is a wonderful country but they a lot of issues to resolve. As for the weather - too bad about that!

I do think change can be a very good thing. But people need to realize that there’s a different set of problems in each country. It’s all about the pros and cons that you’re willing to deal with. What is the lesser evil to you? Otherwise, no country is really a perfect match for your beliefs and values about how you should be treated. I personally would rather live in Jamaica, but even Jamaica doesn’t have everything in it that I would like. But I need to deal with that and settle. I live in Canada right now. Other than that, I could live in Canada the rest of my life, as long as I get out of Quebec.

I have no intention of leaving but everything you guys said is 100% true. There isn’t enough things to do for recreation here. And the places we do have for recreation are hours away. Niagara Falls, canadas wonderland, great wolf lodge, CNE. They’re all in the boonies and you can only get to them if you have a car but even then they’re expensive and you still need to drive 1-2 hours back home. Unless you live close to these establishments going to these places happens 1-2 times in a whole year. It’s really a shame because even though they’re expensive I really love going to these places. If I can change one thing about my country I’d say we need tons more recreation spots. We really just live to work at this point and it’s not fun.

You guys were spot on with this video. I am Canadian born from Caribbean immigrants and all we've done from jump is work multiple jobs. If you live in Toronto you can't just have one job; even lawyers and engineers have side hustles. My uber drivers are usually tech engineers! Most people usually immigrate to the US after getting their visa because the pay is so much more and the cost of living is lower. An example some jobs I'm looking at in Canada pay $50-$60k base demanding 5 yrs experience with 2-3 wks vacation. In the US the same job pays $75-100k base, unlimited vacation, work from home 2-3 yrs experience! I now live here part time and most of my wealthy friends have moved to the US, Costa Rica or Mexico because the cost of living is too high and it's no longer worth it. No life balance, even working remote you're a slave, the cost of living is outrageous

You ladies sound so very, very ungrateful. You're speaking as if in Nigeria you get any better healthcare, standard of living etc. Go back to Nigeria and stay there. Canada is fine but you're basically correct. It's fantastic for mousey types who want security and sameness, but if you are looking for adventure, crackle and opportunity, it's a dead end. This video for privileged people, not people struggling to survive. In a country like Nigeria, a PhD holder is applying for trucking driving job and secondary teaching job. They would be grateful to move to Canada for a befitting job and will be excited to pay tax. Many with good educational background don't even have any job at all. At least Canadian government takes taxes and provide good infrastructure. In Nigeria, the government takes your tax and nothing works, no jobs, no security, no healthcare, no good roads or infrastructure. It's difficult to travel inter state without being kidnapped. Your family sells all your properties and pay the ransom but still be killed. You can even be gunned down in your house or on the street just for next to nothing. All my relatives in Canada are happy with their families and are begging me to come. Even people with good jobs are moving to Canada. They're not doing it for themselves for the future of their children, for peace of mind, security and to escape poverty. \n\nIf you're in doubt please move back to Nigeria then you will know Canada is heaven. Many have resorted to prostitution and crime because they believe they don't have any other way to survive. Great idea to speak out. However, it's the same everywhere. Its a cyclical effect, get paid, pay your bills and if there's extra you save. You need to think how to break out of that and take control of your income. When you're making money and positive impact in your community no one cares if you're black or have accent. As a kenyan living in the UK for the past 7 yrs ,i came into conclusion that theres something not right about nigerians living abroad, among all africans ive met here in England, its only nigerians that never loves their country compared to other africans, ive met south africans ,cameroonians ghanians ugandans malawians liberians and Gambians all of them are proud of their respective countries and they tend to go back whenever they get the opportunity, i inclusive i do go back to kenya like every december coz i just cant stand being in the UK the entire year without going back home for a couple of weeks ...when it comes to nigerians ive met over here theres something always off, they hate their country sooo much to an extent one told me nigeria is a country in ICU ,some even told me they can set foot in africa but not nigeria..so nigerians tell me wats soo bad about your country that you tend to run away from it, even in my home country kenya there are estates designated for nigerians..Besides i prefer being in UK than in north america coz of the distance i cant imagine being in US or canada coz of the flight hours ,they're sooo far away from my country i love it in the UK coz its closer to home and i dont need connecting flights in most cases when going to kenya.

Well said, both US and Canada are all the same thing, it’s a circle. Start again and go back to school when you relocated to diasporas my dear. Not much difference until you get to a higher level like management in your career then a little change can occur.. Please keep enlighten our people at home so they will know the importance of building our home and prevent traveling abroad except going to school and return back home to use that knowledge learn to building their home country… There’s no place like home, we’re blessed in Africa but lack the knowledge of knowing what we have or to develop that country for generations to come….

I do have to say if you're actually worried about the cold as a factor in moving to Canada it is way less than you think. In Southern Ontario it gets to be -40C about 3-4 times a winter, and in the summer it gets to 40C 3-4 times a summer, so we have pretty diverse weather, what you should worry about is how many different kinds of clothes you'll need to buy to actually go through the four seasons.\n\nJust a quick note on Quebéc, even if you did learn french you will most likely be yelled at in french as they are for the most part very protective of french Canada and see themselves as a different country, they don't like other people very much, and the french is different to french french. Cool place to visit but not so much to live in.

What you doing have is your private insurance company denying you coverage and you have to refer to them every time when you need a particular blood test done. I can have my patients have MRIs or CT scans within 2 days if they need is there a giant . What you need is Doctor Patient Advocates. If your doctor cares he can pull the strings to get you earlier appointments if needs be . there is nothing about this video that makes sense and I would not trade this country for the world Allen speaking from the point of view that I have lived in the Prairies where it gets to minus 30 degrees Centigrade interior with muggy in the summer Newfoundland where did the fog is so thick you can cut it with a knife and I know live in Vancouver an embrace the rain when it comes I don't even notice it . As a Canadian from Québec I can tell you that you're right. The truth is we get fucked by our government since over 20 years. They invent new taxes, they steal more on our paycheck. Salams, my African sisters. I loved your informative video it’s very similar to living in the US, where I’m from. Here it is much worse, there is RACISM, CRIME, ect. You would wait 8 hours in hospital but have to pay thousands yourself. The taxes are less here but you spend so much more in healthcare and at work you get one week of vacation and you’re discouraged to take it. The cost of living is high here as well. In as much as I am a proud Nigerian. Nigeria is difficult. The laws doesn't work for the rich in Nigeria. Police brutalities , if you don't know anyone, you can't get a job. Insecurities everywhere. Though Nigeria is indeed a fun country. But if I had the opportunity to leave Nigeria, I would never return, I love our culture and traditions but it is hell if you're not rich or financially stable. Staff is staff. Not staffs. A&E or ER or whatever you call it is a highly pressured department. It's for emergencies. I'd imagine when you get to your ER, you're triaged so they know how urgent your case is. If going there for cough and cold be prepared to wait. Its the same thing here in England.

it's understandable that people get homesick, but how many people are crossing thru deserts, the ocean, going thru countries like libya, greece, where they're place into enslavement, beaten, having to be exploited as sex workers, and they still haven't arrived to their destination. \n\nthese people what take what you have in Canada without looking back. I think relocating to Canada and subsequently leaving is a product of not having proper information or having a misconception about a western country before moving there in the first place. There's an emphasis of 'you really have to work hard' for new immigrants which they generally take for granted. Quite frankly, only sincere people empathize on hardwork. I find that most people seeking suggestion/advice always want to start from the top to bottom rather than bottom to top. Every society has it's own challenges. New immigrants who have just been in Canada for only 3years get frustrated while comparing themselves with people who have lived in Canada for 15 years. Growth is a gradually process, when it's automatic it's too good to be true!! All these similar countries run the say type of system, you gotta love where you chose to live. With that being said, we will continue to welcome new immigrants who re willing to start from the beginning to grow their dreams and wave goodbye to people who came and decided to leave. I love Canada ??

Well, I live in Sweden and I bet we pay more income tax than you do in Canada, some of the taxes goes to health care, unemployment benefits, and your retirement benefits, Every welfare state is expensive, You may get more pay in USA but if you ever get hospitalised, you're in for a rude awakening, you should check, there are many immigrants here in Sweden as well and the weather is pretty much the same as in Canada. We get at least 4 weeks vacation here in Sweden. I'm from ?? and it's natural that after working many years abroad, many choose to go back to their country of origin at some stage, me I go back home to Jamaica ?? as much as I can but still prefer to live in Sweden, I never mind the winter months, I can always travel to a warmer country and continue to enjoy life. The bottom line is that it's your choice what you want to do with your life.

When you make things too easy for Nigerians they begin to complain about how bad things are. It's Always the lucky ones that complain so much, perhaps they're surprised to find that they have to make some adjustments to achieve all of their dreams. But you can't get a work permit while you're IN Canada, to get granted a work permit you have to apply from outside of Canada.
