Canada sucks. I graduated 7 years ago and never found steady work in my field. Best I got was a half year contract. When I first came to Canada, I was shocked to learn most college graduates' ideal was to work for the government. In the US, the best students usually go into the private sector. Another point, an educated, experienced economist from Latin America immigrated to Canada but could only work as a language teacher to make ends meet. I met him at an evening class in Vancouver. I am a Canadian citizen who moved to Bangkok, Thailand, 26 years ago as I had a professional job there. At that time, I was attracted by the Thai culture, the weather and the quality of life. I have been married to my beautiful Thai wife (S.E. Asian ladies are stunning?) for 23 years and we have two grown up children (one is studying in Canada!). I feel that I have more personal freedom in my daily life here, under a military government, than I would in Canada. There is also fast fibre optic internet, reasonably priced phone plans, the low cost of living (I bought an apartment after the 1997 financial crisis), affordable and world class private hospitals. I have learned the language and this is the perfect country for me to retire in. I could not clearly see the future years ago, but I asked myself, where do we think the future is? With creditor nations or with debtor nations? I am so glad that I made the decision to leave Canada in 1997!

If you can't immigrate out of Canada consider learning to sail with the idea of buying a sailboat and sail around the world. I lived and worked in TO in a few areas for several years. I left in 2016. I am glad I left before it got bad. I started witnessing more racist comments on subway and platforms were becoming too crowded. First of all, people needs to learn how to stop pointing fingers. The Palestinians said it's their land, the Israelis proved it's their land through history. So there is no end for this finger pointing , only endless suffering when there is war. There's another YouTube video of Syrian refugee men in Norway having to attend a class to learn about Norwegian values. The Norwegian lady told them that they cannot hit their wife or have sex with her if she doesn't want to have sex because that is rape.
