I've wanted to move to Canada since my childhood. The first time I tried was when I was 22 years old; I received a scholarship for Humber College. Unfortunately, my dream was postponed because I broke my leg. I attempted again at 25 years old, but I didn't have enough money for a comfortable immigration process. So, I decided to accumulate more funds and try again.\n\nNow, at 30 years old, I find myself in a different situation. I've just bought a big house, and I'm living a simple, calm life in Eastern Europe. Here, I have everything I need: a safe environment, the freedom to travel wherever I want, and minimal taxes in my industry. Healthcare is excellent, with no waiting times, and the food is amazing.\n\nDespite these comforts, I still have the opportunity to move to Canada. But I find myself questioning why I was so obsessed with it since childhood. I realize that I earn more in my home country than the average Canadian, even after taxes and rent. Perhaps Canada nowadays is more appealing to individuals from India, the Middle East, and Africa. If I were from these regions, I might still consider moving there. However, moving from Europe to Canada seems like the biggest mistake I could make right now. \n\nCons of Canada: 1) Misconception about communism. 2) High taxes, up to 50% in some cases. 3) Expensive rents(we all know u won't be able to buy anything decent there. 4) Perception of social conformity among Canadians, where sensitive topics may not be openly discussed for fear of judgment. 5) Disparity between the country's overall wealth and the financial struggles faced by some citizens.\n\nPros of Canada: well, I didn't find anything I could not find in other countries developed countries.

Canada hid its inflation in the housing market for a decade. The economy appeared to be growing, and real wages appeared to be staying in line with the consumer price index, but it was smoke and mirrors. If you removed real estate, GDP was stagnant. Wages were actually falling behind and people getting poorer and poorer without realising it. That’s finally become unsustainable, and inflation is showing up everywhere. And the wages are still stuck. The country is sitting on hugely valuable resources it could develop had it not put so many self-created political barriers in the way, and having indoctrinated their population about it along the way. Separately, The healthcare system is getting worse, consistently ranking 2nd last in the OECD in terms of real results delivered. The biggest problem is that the country’s economy is built on immigration to drive growth, rather than productivity, efficiency, or innovation. The more people you bring in, the more housing you need, but they’re at the point that they can’t keep up and people can hardly afford housing anyways. It’s a recipe for disaster. I left Canada by coincidence, having met someone from another country and moved there. I’m glad I left.

I'm 74, Canadian, living on the government pension. But if you do things properly you can live quite comfortably I have no problems.

I can tell you why I'm leaving...mainly for a far better life. This country ain't worth the effort. Housing and taxes are ridiculous and the economy is failing, besides our dollar having no buying power. I reject enslavement because I've worked hard enough to live in a country where housing is 1/3 the cost, food is affordable and high quality, great weather, great social life, and much more fulfilling overall. I don't know why anyone would buy into the lie of a Canadian dream...that ship sailed way back! ?

CANADAIMS phoned me last week and they told me that I was eligible for Canadian citizenship!\nDespite the fact that I was and still am a long term unemployed person who has severe disability and I’m aged over 62 \nYet still they told me that I was eligible !\nThey charged me £326\nAnd an hour later they told me that the money was not refundable!\nI realised that I was conned and didn’t even bother getting in touch with them more \nI’m warning people to be cautious of these people.

The issue with such channels is that all they do is create unrest amongst people. If they actually provided solutions that a common can implement instead of blaming it all in the government then it would be so much better. All such pages do is spread propaganda. I'm not saying it's not the government's fault, I'm just saying there's many other factors that led to this and not just the government.

Growing up in Toronto during the mid 70-80-90's and as a child we used to have to take the Subway, to a Street car then a bus alone from Dufferin & Bloor area alone as a 10 &+ yrs old. Without worry , immigrants were primarily Asia's & Jamaicans which were peaceful, respectful. The Indians etc immigration has Increased crime rates, Toronto used to be amazing. In all fairness India is #1 the most racist country in the world, the least trusted country in the world and the only race that will use white names culturally appropriate and hold businesses that hire only Indians, and scam English countries. I'm Indian but not born in India for 3 generations and even in my country, the Indian/Paki immigrants are just coming in droves. There's a distinct culture difference. It's like 10 or 15 years ago, the Indian government opened the gates and said OK, you can go now... And off they all went to every part of the world ??\nFrom a financial perspective, it's definitely not good for the economy, cos they milk the system, don't pay taxes and send money out of the country back to India.\nIndian people though are not generally dangerous though or drug dealers, definitely not like some of the black countries like Nigeria where many will go to a new country specifically to do crime. I’m 68-years-old and was born in Canada. I worked hard all my life. Now I can’t get a doctor. I’m told the problem is baby boomer doctors are retiring so not enough doctors. BS,the problem is the population is much greater than the resources needed to support it. Why are we bringing so many people into this country when resources such as heath care have been depleted?

Brampton to Mississauga have always been heavy ethnic as that’s where all the ethnic groups were somewhat pushed to back in the day and anybody that lived in Brampton in Mississauga all these years. I’m sure love their 300% increase in the real estate which allow them to move to Flin Flon Manitoba with $1 million in the bank and bought a house cash!

So I’m an immigrant who arrived from Poland as a child. What made me quickly integrate and become Canadian was the absence of ethnic enclaves. I grew up in social housing, which sucked, but it was with a tonne of Portuguese, El Salvadorians, Colombians and a few Somalis in my hood. The thing is, there was no dominant group, and thus we all had to live together, communicate in English, and adopt universal values and lifestyles that all those groups had in common, rather than those of my home country. I feel these new generations won’t have that same experience.

As a Canadian I don’t want to move to another country. I’m happy here but I have my house, my family, my job… I travel a lot, but home is here. My kids are young and I hope that in 15 years things will change for better. I love this country too much, with all the problems

I’m looking for a place and all of them said Indians only I have the screenshots. One man felt bad because I replied and said I understand and no worries he felt so bad and I kept telling him not to and that I understand then he said he will ask the other 2 Indian ppl if they’d mind but I didn’t reply. My daughter got replaced with an Indian only 2 or 3 months later the Indian girl came to work took my daughters position and then told her to clean tables and that’s because they don’t think Canadians work as good as they do and also because they had to hire her to make it seem multicultural and I say this because they only hired 2 black girls and my daughter has never ever worked with her they put their schedules separate

I came to Canada (Québec) in 2018 as an immigrant and i absolutely loved it i'm not sure if i was just lucky but housing wasn't a problem for me you can easily find roommates etc however i think there is a big addiction problem as most homeless that i saw are addicts which is unfortunate.

I have very wealthy cousins who moved to the US for work, and I'm trying to talk them into moving back to Canada, but because of health issues, they prefer to stay in the US because of the availability to them due to their financial status. I understand. I'm going back to Europe after 17 years!! I'm a certified teacher with a brilliant teaching career in Europe and I cannot teach here. Everything is so expensive and I cannot make it anymore. I agree, it's just very sad, it's our life, our dream. I came to Canada with a lot of love and with the willingness to give all my heart, potential, abilities and skills. I cannot make it anymore...my soul and heart are slowly dying. I'm 55, I cannot end my life working two or more jobs and moving every two to four years because landlords keep kicking out of the house old tenants because they raise the rents. Over $3000 a month. Who can afford that? I'm a single mom. Buying a house is impossible as well...\nSo I'm going back to my country. I'm packing my 17 years of life in a few suitcases in one hand, and my son on the other hand. My heart feels heavy and abundant tears are falling off my eyes, but I'm sure that we are going toward a brighter future and surrounded with the love of family and friends.
