Canadian here, I dont think immigration is bad during times of calm and prosperity. As long as we have the ressources to integrate immigrants into society, there's no problem with it.\nBut let's say that these days, the world as a whole isn't in a very good state. Same problems with mass immigration in UK, Canada, New Zealand, USA, Australia. In Canada it's disastrous because it's only livable near US border, and people go to the main 3 or 4 cities where they think of getting jobs. Hello! Thank you for this wonderful video, it was very entertaining (and informative!!!). In my personal (and humble) opinion I think Alberta is the best, but that is only my opinion, and I think all provinces have something to offer in their own way! :)

Honestly it’s not that I’m completely opposed to immigration in the proper amounts but currently the were kinda eating a** in the housing department, so it feels as though we’re giving space for something that doesn’t completely exist yet, which is also drowning out legitimate citizens from being able to have affordable housing, therefore causing some sort of aggression towards people trying to get away from they own crap, but everyone needs housing and likes it affordable so it’s understandable. Maybe we could handle this sort of intake in like 30-50 years easily, but we’re filling a bucket that has so much going into it, I’m not knowledgeable on Canadian happenings to know all the intricacies. Though a layman could tell Justin Trudeau is a large contributor to this line of politically charged thinking that doesn’t really think about long term consequences.

I think it has more to do with affordability, creating a housing crisis and our services being overwhelmed Canada is taking more people than our country can support we need to bring our immigration levels back down to sustainable levels period.

I think what Canada needs to adopt it’s a quota on the number of immigrants coming in from each country. Open it to everyone based on the same point system we have now, and once’s those openings are full for India, Italy, Thailand etc… that’s it you’d have to wait till next year that the quota opens again. This will allow a more diverse immigration and minimize the xenophobia that come with having huge numbers coming in from only one region

I feel lot of this started as a solution to solve the population crisis, and now immigration has ended up as Canada's addiction. People who run out of visa should leave, sure, but it's basic human instinct to try and stick to the better place. Also, if you don't bring value to the country, you will be the first victim of deportation. In ON we are paying 28% taxes on wage if you earn less than 100k, we pay another 13% while shopping that adds to 41% in taxes. now to add property taxes to that it comes to almost 50% now with rent prices & cost of living it does not take an economist to find out why some left and lots are thinking to leave Canada.
