Some facts are exaggerated about health care . When it comes to life threatening conditions , you always get priority and get treated very well . Less critical conditions obviously het less priority . \n\nTax is significant . But you can’t have good social services and expect to pay less taxes . There are tax efficient investments to reduce taxes you pay such as RRSP and TFSA . One needs to do their due diligence and be bit smart with their money to maintain a good life style , educate their children and save for retirement .

How about reverse discrimination? Certain immigrants that will only hire their own kind or only rent out their places to their own KIND? I am not white but I've witnessed whites being declined due to racial reasons. When my parents immigrated here, they learned to integrate with other cultures.

we moved here in 2001 because canada once was a prosperous country under the harper government. cost of living was acceptable, income taxes weren't too high, crime was low. now, canada is the complete opposite. low-middle class families being sucked dry of their finances due to carbon tax, high cost of living, and government funding ideology with tax payer money. income taxes set to go up again in 2023, extremely high crime rate, bringing in copious amounts of immigrants without reinforcing infrastucture is going to be disastrous.

I moved to Canada from Australia. My standard of living is much worse here. My family and I will be moving back to Australia. \n\nI don’t agree that there’s systemic racism here - the majority of my friends are ethnic minorities and I saw no evidences they were discriminated against (nor did they ever express that they experienced racism). I feel Canadians are obsessed with race due to it being an issue in the United States, thus they exaggerate these issues and often draw instances of racism that are very thin (such as the examples you believe prove racism). “Silent racism” is code for interpreting something as being racist. I believe if we had to list the top ten LEAST racist countries in the world, Canada would be in the top 5.

Every immigrant I talk to has plans to either move to the US or move back home. Canada offers little as a destination for immigrants. A number of born Canadians are leaving due to high taxes as well. They can protect their wealth by taking it out of the country so I don't blame them.

I know a family that sold everything to send their son to Canada for school, he ended up committing suicide, he couldn't work full time to support his family due to that his father died for lack of money to afford an adequate medical assistant. he committed suicide 4 days after his father's death.

What are the plans for housing all the new immigrants, considering most residents can't afford rent, let alone purchasing a home due to the extremely limited supply. Sadly Saskatchewan is also extremely dangerous due to extreme weather (mostly tornadoes) because no one issues warnings for them because of there not being enough people. Had and tornado go right through my small town and it did f5 damage but wasn’t even rated.

How is our health care system going to handle an extra 500k people coming to Canada every year. We have a serious health care crisis happening here. I don't even have a doctor and I expect I will never have a family doctor ever again. I also expect that the Canadian Government will make sure every Immigrant who comes to Canada will have a family doctor or some special set up for them to make sure they can get their health taken care of. While the rest of us who were born in Canada will be left on the sides for at least 40 years as it's going to take at least 40 years of making sure we train and attract as many new doctors as we can. It is going to take a long time due to the Government of Canada let this issue go without doing anything about the degradation of our health care for the past 20 years. It will soon become normal for multiple people to die every week while waiting in emergency rooms for help due to wait times of 72 hours or more on a regular basis. Its been in the news several times this year already but soon it will be in the news every week.

Those 500,000 immigrants are going to be ultra disappointed when they find out after about one year that they would have been better off staying in their home country. Word on the street is a large chunk of these people move back home after only a short while because they realize that 40% of their Canadian paychecks will be eroded due to taxes and deductions, and then another 5-12% taxed when they go to the grocery store to spend their already taxed money.

What about rent increasing astronomically because international students are staying with 10 others to be able to afford and landlords are allowing them which is inflating rent.. In my city rent has increased from $700 to $2000 for one bedroom apartment. Canadians are becoming homeless while my local universities is admitting 20 thousands international from India. Not a single building has gone up due to COVID so this put even more pressure on the housing market.

Canadian parents/students we to paid 30-50% tax when we work here. some of this money help to reduce our tuition fee. You guys and your parents don’t paid tax here so you have to paid the full tuition fee. Vancouver and Toronto has one the highest cost of living in the world, . Thanks for sharing your thoughts. However, the issues you have faced in Australia will haunt you in some way in Canada too. I am a Canadian PR and just love Canada. The people are very nice, landscape is amazing, and it is cheaper than Australia. But it is just as hard in Canada to find a good job as it is in Australia. I am a Petroleum Engineer with over 10 years of experience working in a fortune 500 company, yet I cannot even get an interview for a related job in Canada. I also realized that lots of immigrants who came here through express entry and have years of experience work overseas despite staying in Canada for years due to the lack of opportunities. I know that the actions seen out here in the video is kind of an extrem, but I believe whatever measures were taken it was for the welfare of keeping everybody safe in which my Sikh brother had no bad intentions but it was all an honest mistake.  According to my understanding he could've worn the Kripan under his T-shirt.. no disrespect to nobody but I'm here with all my Love and Respect to all.. \nAnd He being out of India.. people might have heard or know about Sikhism but respectively being in a totally different country it'll be a cultural shock to some of its fellow country's residents and that too he is in an educational environment or zone where a lot of unfortunate events had occur in the past few years due to violence.. so taking these reasons and unfortunate incidents under consideration.. our dear Sikh brother did not do anything wrong in openly carrying a Kripan (knife) for it is his cultural right and had gone some kind of a rituals in order to carry a Kripan for self-defense.
