thanks for the honest observations. I appreciate it. I have noticed many comments that employment may not be the best in Canada. However, employment is not the only way to make money. Anyone can be self-employed/small-business owner, big business owner or an investor, according to Robert Kiyosaki. I guess, Canada may not be the best country for employment opportunity, but can be the best for retirement after you have gained enough passive income from investments in different businesses.

As a i have been living here for more than two years and i have always been struggling with employment issues, healthcare system, housing prices and many others , i cant really be honest to my parents, back home how hard living condition is here. even though if you spent many years of educations and gained experiences or got your master, its not gonna help you ever in canada. personally its too hard to start everything from the scratch its just waste of time. back to Asia.

I would be honest with you most of people who leave Canada can have a good life in their home countries (mainly people who say this are from Europe or advanced country in Asia ), well if in your home country you can't make a life at all then what's the point of going back and what I'm taling about here is mainly African countries where everything is expensive and scarce, us living in third country we can even make enough money for a cost of flight alone in a one year of work, wages here can come to be 50$ USD a month that's if your lucky (and not even to say that you will spend most of them on food and health care)

I'm from NB, people migrating from Ontario are driving up the house prices and we have no rent caps. Our public transportation isn't that great, and our food prices are $$$. We do have fresh air, Bay of Fundy and polite people. I use to live in Toronto and I can honestly say, some parts are like Detroit City, and this guy is wrong, our public schools are crap ..

I'm been here in Calgary Alberta for almost 26 years to be honest I'm really sick and tired and bored of this place but we have no choice our home country isn't safe if it was safe I would have left long time ago Canada is beautfuil place to be but dont look at the beauty if your life is depressing here back home is the best way to go. if you have lots of money and enjoy it there since is cheaper people in canada work like dogs it's really upsetting

So here's my take after reading most of the comments. You can tell who is trying to defend their province...it's almost juvenile. Honestly every province has it's good traits and bad. It's all in your perspective.

To be honest. for scenery I think British Columbia, Alberta, PEI, And Nova Scotia Are the best and for business i think Ontario is definitely the best (most major cities are good for business too)\nEdit: forgot to mention that if you are trying to move to Canada but don’t speak English Quebec would be good to move to they speak basically a variation of French that if you are a native French speaker moving to Canada it would probably take 1-2 weeks to master (could be wrong on this) and for the territories it’s miserable there’s so much crime even in the summer temperatures above 10C (50F) are a miracle but I guess if you really want to move there you can…….

Let's be honest: Ontario is hella overrated. Important province and all, I just don’t like when the urban people in Toronto think Canada is all about Toronto. It's a good place in some locations, but everyone seems to talk about them and now other places of Canada (asides from the occasional mention of Quebec or B.C)

I love how you said that the schools in Newfoundland and Labrador are good… the teachers are okay, but there are a LOT of drugs and shit passed around in schools around here. It’s honestly awful. But the picturesque part is true, along with the shitty weather. And downtown St John’s is pretty nice, although it’s filled with skeets (basically people that act like gangsters, that smoke weed, vape, etc etc. It’s only really bad on the west end of St John’s and Mount Pearl though, so you should be fine if you avoid those parts). As much shit as I may have talked here, I still love living here, and it’s certainly better than Manitoba\n\nPS: we newfies have a really wacky accent, that can be kind of hard to understand especially if we’re talking fast. Imagine Scottish, British and a Boston accent mashed together, but people speak 50x faster. So that may take awhile to get used to

I am from the United States. I have advanced degrees. I am actively seeking a job in Canada to see if I would be happier there. The US may is great compared to a broken country, but not to other developed nations in my opinion. I wanted to see if the pros outweigh the cons in Canada. Lived my whole life practically in Ottawa ..not going to lie I hated it! I left 5 months ago to paterson jersey, than from there to Florida..and now I'm residing back home in Dominican. You didn't scare me with taxes and semi free healthcare :D Ok, you pay taxes, but you can see where they go. And I also can't think of a country where you get dental care, eye care and medicines for free. In my country in everage we pay 30% income taxes, plus vehicle and property taxes all this having monthly income below 1000 euros. And I honestly don't understand where all this money goes. Roads are shitty and healthcare is not free either.

After nearly 13 years as of Jan 1st 2022, I'll be leaving Canada on a one-way ticket; not to my country of origin, but further into new ventures.\n\nIt's been a slog to become a citizen and try and make life work here. It's a good place to be successful financially if you make sound choices, and then to live a fairly quiet, isolated life. If all you want is to live within your own ethnic community and have a better quality of life, it's a good place.\n\nUnfortunately, it's never had enough culture or meaning for me. My aunt and uncle are trying to move back to Haiti. Google Haiti and our safety issues. Yet my uncle and aunt are trying to go back. Honestly that tells me all I need to know. Not bashing Canada in any way. But my uncle was a qualified engineer and my aunt a nurse. They're native french speakers, good English speakers. They went back to school and did everything right, passing all the exams, only to be offered part time employment and no career progression whatsoever. They got passed on for promotions and raises. They're happy they offered a better life to their children, but as they age, they're trying to go back home to Haiti.

To be honest I haven't finished watching your video because a point came to my mind and before I forget, decided to ask you girls here. I understand that working for a company, restaurant or a hotel is tough, especially finding one. \n1)What about if an immigrant has a kind of business skill or experience say in a fast food sector and has all that it takes to run a small fast food shop, which i think is better and more lucrative than trying to find a job elsewhere. Does the government of Canada or the Municipality of a city the immigrant is in, lend a hand in such matters?\n2) From one of YouTube videos I came to know that people living there have to pay several taxes including federal taxes, provincial taxes, unemployment Insurance Premium (UIP). Does this apply to new immigrants as well? When do these taxes come into effect for the immigrants and under what conditions? thanks.......
