I came to Canada in Jan 2022 on permanent residence from India and returned back to India in November 2023. My reason to move to Canada was, I moved back to India for personal reasons after living in USA for 10 years (studies + work). I moved to Canada because I missed US, and thought it was difficult to adjust in India, and US would never give me green card anyway (due to country of birth quota). I moved to Canada with a job in hand, but opportunties are limited here. On top salaries are low, even compared to India. Healthcare is a disaster. In US, I could see a doctor next day. I had 4 surgeries done in US, multiple CT scans and countless X-rays. Never had an issue. In Canada, despite paying high taxes I fear of not able to get medical treatment and wait for months to see specialist. \nSlowly I realized, this country is not USA anyway and was naive of me to think of it as a viable replacement. I ended up returning back to India, as in end I realized India has issues, Canada has different ones but in India at least I can earn well (70 to 80K CAD while 2 BHK costs me like 500 CAD per month, 300,000 CAD for luxurious 3.5 BHK) and I can be close to my parents, the reason for which I left US. I will always miss US though. As long as I have family in India, I will never think of settling anywhere else. But the only country I would ever consider in future is USA.

Im not against it. We may need the numbers soon. They come here for more than just the narrative. Its alot for the states to take on currently cant say it isnt. Things become more hyped in everyway..it almost seems like were bound for another war close to home if not just home.. Theyre leavibg for a reason. I ca only guess that they dnt want t be there. We have a good portion of state side troops home and ready. But if mexico cant protect whats theirs, i dont think they should have it. My arguement being..we the mf people will need the land. I want to give a different perspective. I'm from Singapore. My entire family was here and they have moved back. My sister moved back first because my British brother in law could not take the cold. My brother moved back because he wanted to make money and be rich. My parents moved back to be close to their grandkids. But no way will I move back. Constant heat strokes from the weather, materialistic and shallow people, preference given to married people and families, lack of hinterland and nature, lack of winter sports, and poor LGBTQ+ rights. I have not lived in Singapore since I was 18 and I am also childfree, with no intention of raising a family, only travel locally, and am not into the acquisition of commercial goods for gratification. I love going on roadtrips and skiing every winter and playing hockey year round. I like that I can marry who I love here and can acquire a home without needing to be married. I understand how people who want to make money and raise families would see the brighter side of other countries, but Canada, despite its flaws, is my brighter side.

People are leaving Canada because of taxes and very rude and racist society. Also opportunities such as higher pay jobs are only given to family and close friends. Hard working and smarter individuals don't get nothing in return for their efforts and contributions

Great video, candid and honest appraisal of the current situation in Canada. We moved to Canada from the UK 20 years ago and initially we loved every minute. But the slow spiral into the hell hole since Trudeau took power has totally changed our opinion of Canada. We have now retired and spend winter in the USA and considering leaving if Trudeau gets re-elected next time around. Also we have to say how Canadians are very disingenuous and can be two faced.\nWe do have many Canadian friends but in 20 years we are not that close to them.

Im a Canadian, currently living in Vancouver but I've lived in many countries and will expat again. What it boils down to is if you have a good professional job that pays well, quality of life here is fantastic (among the best). Great schools, clean, great for young kids, and unparalleled acces to the best nature in the world mintues from a world class city. But life gets difficult quick when you cant afford anything. All these other complaints are blown out of porpotion (politics, drugs, etc...) by many and mostly don't really impact most people. In my experience, most people really leave because of better pay in the US, or because Europe has more culture, or asia has many more contries to explore close, or has LATAM has better weather etc...

Turkey might be a good choice. Close to Europe, in fact some or many consider it as part of Europe, they wanted to part of EU. Also a muslim country, so, you would be very much at home there. And very beautiful and still cheap, it does not compare to Canada price-wise . :)\nAlso, Turkey is the big supporter of Palestine. :))) If I could speak the language or have a change to work for an automotive company in English, I'd probably just move there and be able to visit mom, extended family and friends in Europe a lot more often.

life in the u.s. is way better. if you look at all the major cities in canada, they are in close proximities from the major u.s. cities, which means is that the economy in canada is very dependent on the u.s. so unless canada will find ways from getting out of the u.s. influences, which i don't see why should even try that, life in canada will never be better than the mighty next door neighbor, and the same thing goes with mexico as well

Born and raised in Canada but I'm investigating leaving. An absolute mistake for anyone to move here. If I stay in Canada, I would fully expect to die on a gurney in a hospital hallway. Terrible health service, awful traffic and road rage, ridiculous food costs and restaurant prices, mean rude anti-social people, crappy weather, and bad government. Canada is not close to what it was or hoped it would be.

Dubai or Turkey i think the best. I am Pakistani and married to a Saudi-Canadian, but he is just Muslim by name and not practicing Islam. We have two boys and I am concerned about their future. I want to give them Islamic education. I want my boys to be close to their religion and culture. I want to move as well, but my husband does not want to relocate.

Moving from Canada seems to be a trend on my pages. And totally understand your top 1 reason. But what I don't understand is that Canada actually seems to be be one of the countries in the world that has the lowest inflation rate. Yes almost all inflation rates have increased but Canada doesn't seem to be anywhere close to the worst, more close to the lowest rate.

I am a Christian, and I have been married to an amazing North African (a practicing) Muslim woman for the past 17 years. By the way, we have lived in five different majority Muslim countries, but Malaysia is by far the best one of all. We have friends who moved to Europe from North Africa and the Middle East. However, Canada is definitely better than Europe, the Middle East, or Pakistan or any other Muslim country for any Muslim man or woman. We have very close Pakistani friends who moved to Canada from Dubai, and they will never consider moving back to either the Middle East or Pakistan. I don't agree with the Saleh family's reasons for leaving Canada, other than the cold weather. I wish them happiness and safety wherever they go. FREE PALESTINE!!

Salam am a Muslim 16 year old and I lived in Saudi ever since I was one but moved to Australia at 11 because of how expensive the residence card was my dad lived there for over 20 years and mum for around 11 and we viewed it as a truly amazing country its very safe and people are very helpful and kind everything id also islamiclly led when you're walking in the streets you can litterly feel the islamic spirit am talking about 4/5 years ago I dont know about now but it was the best we used to go madina every eid mecca was close so we went when we could went roude trips around Jeddah and jizan its the best think about it your kids growing up in a society where there is no alchahol, lgbtq,dr**s and islamaphobs its a qiute exspensive place but its truly amazing. Danbury Connecticut in USA area I keep seeing new Muslims base restaurants open up. Also you close NYC but far enough. Also known where Catholic Priest, Rabbi's and Imam get together and panel discussion, about issues. However, just in one high school in Danbury over 100 different languages are spoken. Do we have people that prejudice yes, but in general they dealt with. In general I feel people here like you do you, but pressure us in your way other than pressure we press back on pressure to do things your way.

I leaved in Canada for over 20 years and noticed the drastic changes you mentioned. I still have 4 of my kids in Canada, They are grown up and have their own families now. As I traveled to few places for professional raison I always been on family status because I wanted to be close to my wife and 6 children. The best place I liked is the sultanate of Oman. It’s a conservative Islamic environment and people are very respective, very nice and welcoming. The only thing that bothers a bit is the heat in summer time but other than that it’s the best place in the world. By the way 3 of my children are planning to leave Canada to one of the gulf countries and I wish them good luck. May Allah guide you to the right path and place to rise your kids and practice your faith at ease.

Please please answer did you renounce your citizenship, keep it? How did you close up your CTB accounts etc? Do you still have to file income tax abroad for Canada? As you figure this out could you please share and help fellow Muslims trying to figure this out? May Allah guide you in this journey and grant you ease esp bc your niyyah is for Allah.
