My visa got rejected twice. I was really disappointed. Now in hindsight, i think it was for good. As the video depicts, soon Canada will be left without immigrants. I think if you want to succeed then you will succeed anywhere. I love my country India. But I don’t like the pollution and the rat race children go through . You cannot afford a decent place to stay in big cities if you are not earning really really well. Yes, loneliness is there in Canada but you can make friends , join extracurricular activities. I do hate the health system but also I know that God forbid if I ever have a serious disease , I don’t have to pay for it through my nose like India. This lady is cribbing for nothing at all. I don’t think she wanted to stay. She must have thought here roads are paved with gold. In India also you have to struggle . Go in a packed train to work, come late and cook. You don’t learn any life skills because maid is there.

I do not buy this story. I was born in Canada in the 50s into a very modest farm lifestyle. I easily jumped several levels and retired wealthy. I am very happy with Canada.\nThe problem is our housing costs are super high. We are bringing people into the country faster than we can grow infrastructure. I understand most of your reasons but if you don’t think there are no LGBTQ Muslims in Muslim places in the world too you are kidding yourself! You are preaching tolerance but your actions in this respect say otherwise. Queer people are about 1/10 around the world whether closeted because they fear your attitude or not. Many sectors in business are dominated by people from a certain country and they will not anyone work in that field. For example, security guard, and warehouse jobs are only for India. Firefighting jobs are only for someone who's father or brother is a Firefighter. School manager is only Canadian of Europe origin...3. Canada is age eating place, meaning you come to canada young, but ur life will run so fast , that you get old and crippled very fast+not happy.

Canada has always been expensive. I moved here from Texas for my wife. This isn't the same Canada I moved to though. It's far worse. The job market is crap. It's difficult to get a job in your field. It's easy to get useless jobs that have no long term career opportunities. Real estate is atrocious. Ninety year mortgages? That's just crazy. I don't foresee owning a home in Canada. Rent has gotten so high we refuse to move. We need a bigger place, but we can't afford it. The healthcare is not good, and the wait times are ridiculous. I got better healthcare when I paid out of pocket, but under provincial insurance it's pretty bad. It also doesn't have full healthcare like the UK. At least paying for insurance in the States, everything was covered. Wages suck, benefits are generally bad or nonexistent. My wife is finally about ready to get the hell out.

Its now impossible for a low to moderate income person to buy anything. The price of everything just keeps going up up up. Rent in this small town was 400/500 a month in 2015, that same place today runs 2 thousand,and for the first time ever I see, people living on the streets. The reason so many on the streets? Minimum wage 17.45 an hour, rent 2 thousand, do the math, do you want shelter or do you want to eat? We have the government thinking that the average wage is 70 thousand a year. How do they come up with that number, if you add the billionaires and millionaires to the equation the average worker looks to be better off. I would not recommend anyone to come to Canada.

As a citizen trying to achieve admissions to complete a DVM in Canada, this is a required problem worth discussion. The country is in a deficit for veterinarians but one of the largest schools in Canada, OVC has increased their international admissions over domestic significantly. We need support for domestic students to increase before international students to ensure service to Canadian communities, especially rural Canadian places.

Lived here since 1966. It’s not “ Toronto the Good”. I’m lucky I got into the market in the 70s. I wouldn’t recommend moving here for all the reasons you say. Taxes are high, rents are high, crime and homelessness are high. Not a place I’d recommend for someone starting out to move here. I’ll stay here because I live in a lovely neighbourhood and know all my neighbours. It’s home.

The Christian/Atheist West will never fully accept practicing Muslims. They will tolerate it because we need young bodies and it allows them to feel three powerful human emotions: superiority, pity and, for many, disgust. Another reason to leave for a Muslim country is you will be lucky if one of your grandchildren are practicing Muslims. The power of culture is far greater than parental influence over a couple of generations. Fact is, even if they wanted to leave, the neighboring nations would not take them. Nor do they accept any other refugees. That's why so many Muslims come to Christian nations in Europe and co. We’ve been here since more than a year now and we don’t have a car and we love the pollution free air here and the work life balance. If you live downtown, you don’t need a car as public transport is very convenient. If you don’t want to do things on your own and you definitely need the help from maids and so on, then Canada isn’t for you. It all depends on where you find a house. Very few people in downtown own cars. If you want to live a healthier life, Canada is a good place for that. We came in winters and settled with the help of relatives and thankfully it’s been good so far. Summers are amazing here. Job market is a struggle currently but it’s not permanent. And it is possible to find a job from India if you try for it. If you’re in IT, you don’t need to start from scratch. There are Indian stores almost everywhere and many Indian restaurants as well. You just need to find your place. And it’s an amazing place for plant based vegan people. Food quality is amazing and great safety restrictions. Healthcare also depends on where you live. If you find your people and friends and keep socializing with family, loneliness won’t be there. It’s better to move to a new country when you don’t have kids. \nAlso the accent gradually develops and there’s nothing to worry about. This place is very diverse and there are people with very different accents from all around the world. There is some struggle initially but it all depends on what your priorities are. Life here is very comfortable once you get used to the lifestyle here and the biggest thing is, work life balance and the quality of life. If you want to do things other than your job, this is a good place to do that. Kids also become much more independent here. Rest it all depends on what your goals in life are. Also one of the biggest factors is, if your partner/husband isn’t willing to help with housework or cooking, you can’t survive here. As simple as that. Many factors to consider.

My child graduated in computer science in 2021 and is still looking for a job in software development. Government policy allows Canadian companies to off shore their software development work and also allows for foreigners with IT experience to be fast tracked as permanent residence to Canada. It is gloomy for young Canadians, as our Govt- federal and Provincial- places more focus on businesses and profits about stability rather than orderliness in our society.

It is not about the overall number, but the numbers of international students concentrated in certain areas that are overwhelming the infrastructure of those host communities. If there were a system in place that diversified their destination schools across Canada and better regulated those predatory fly-by-night institutions in the larger centres that outright lie to students to get their money, the problem would be solved.
