As an immigrant to Canada myself, I have to state the obvious, the problem isn't about immigration, per se, as it is about the lack of discernment. Not all cultures are the same. Canada can and should give preference to immigrants from other democratic countries. When you import the third world, you import its problems. It's commendable to try to save everybody, endless respect, but your citizens have to come first. Canada can't save the third world by becoming a part of it.

Pierre certainly have addressed the immigration problem and he wants to restrict it to skilled workers and bring in a blue seal certification program to test these skilled immigrants that apply to come to Canada to ensure they actually qualify

indians come not only from india but also from USA, then find a job through other indians and our stupid gov gives them work permit. this needs to stop. Citizens are not able to find a job because so many indians pouring in from india, US, even uk. our gov needs to stop giving them visit visa because theya re not going back once you let them in.

With all due respect saying the govt should help them get jobs here doesn't reflect what they do for most who were born here or immigrated otherwise than coming as an international student. Everybody knows it, but everyone either lies about it or pretends it's otherwise. The primary motive of international students from low and lower income countries coming to Canada is for permanent residency, registering into a post-secondary course is just the price to pay for PR as far as they are concerned. International students know it, the government knows it, and post-secondary institutions know it. Let's all drop the education charade and have a clear cut policy about immigration through education. One easy way is by strictly requiring that all foreign graduates can ONLY apply for immigration from their home country after graduating from Canada. This is the only way Canada can control the timing, the process and the quality of people.

Came as a refugee 16 years ago it was a dream come true but 16 years later and 3 childern all born here in Toronto.... Govt allowed them to come study and at the same time giving them some hr to work so a lot of people grab this opportunity which to most of them the main purpose is not to study but to have a job and after that get into pr status. If I’m in this situation of this student I cant demand anything in the first place just follow the rules, find a way to get your status legally if you can’t then start packing up and I will go home.

Dumbos government didn't send a plane and asked you to come. You could go other countries for study but chose Canada because it is banana Republic and you know you will get PR after some small bogus course. Australia don't even give PR to people who studied there unless they study the profession which they need. I like to go to Japan and live there so I will go for study there and then demand Japanese government to give me PR??? government is not saying no to you but government wants you to study the profession which is needed not fast food servers, security guard and truck drivers because for these jobs people are already here in Canada in tons. And when you saturate the labour market for these unskilled jobs then the corporations would have upper hands and they will suppress the wages and the living standards of everyone will go down. So don't try to become victim here I know you are Punjabi and I am from third world country too these tactics are old to become victim. Go study skill trade and build home for Canadians and then the government will give you PR no doubt. But you pendoos Jut came from Punjab villages and can't study hard subjects and looking for easy ways to get PR.

Quebec did well. Religion and religious symbolism like a hijab, have no place in any publicly funded institution. These need to be religion free.
