Let's not forget the big culprits behind this: the admissions officers of the colleges, who fully endorse these practices to meet their revenue targets by any means possible, all under the watchful eyes of the government and IRCC.\n\nI've witnessed this firsthand. I openly challenge those consultants and Canadian college admission officers to be upfront with prospective and future students and tell them in person, before accepting their applications, that a study permit does not guarantee permanent residency in Canada. Explain the rules behind that and see what happens next—people will stop coming to Canada altogether. Consultants and colleges need to be honest with their prospective students and not just include those important facts in a fine print under a bunch of paperwork. \n\nAnd my god, the programs most colleges sell—useless diplomas that are of no use in their home countries either. Canadians living in Europe or any other country in the world are required to leave, just like they are telling immigrants to leave. As the lady said I too feels like a stranger in my own country Trinidad west indies,every where you turn around it Chinese from China,Jamaicans, and the most right is from Venezuela,also there are Indians from India,From Bangladesh,mind you most these just opening businesses and surly they are not contributing any thing to the country in terms of taxes because they know how to bend the rules ,the economy is bad yet these people are given free medical care,yet Trinidadians don't get the same ,the Chinese just making money yet nothing from to the building of the country all the money they are making is going outside of the country likewise the Indians from India and the lists goes on and on ,these immigrants from these countries behaves like they are doing us a favor in fact they are not they are putting a big strain on the economy and the Trinidad taxes payers .

Sorry, but I didn't know 'so many people' were leaving Canada. In fact, my European friends living in Canada, LOVE Canada. Their number one reason? The government is for the people. Their numerous benefits, programs and services (employment Insurance, child benefit, pensions, benefits for housing, student aid, family benefits, grants and funding opportunities, disabilities and their recently implemented dental care plan), says it all. Sure the cost of living is high, but where isn’t? Especially after covid and especially if you want a decent quality of life. Their car insurance and phone plans are also expensive but they're getting better. Stay out of the big cities if you can't afford it. There are other parts of Canada that is affordable. \n\nBtw, the healthcare industry, particularly the long-term care sector is a good place to earn a decent living. They are always looking for RNs, PSWs etc. \n\nIn the end, the positives outweigh the negatives. Besides having free healthcare and the many generous social services and benefits, Canada is also a progressive country with strong social policies, including gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights and environmental sustainability, (we’re drinking out of those gross cardboard straws now. Hello?). Then there is our natural and breathtaking landscapes, our four seasons, our excellent education system, diverse communities, friendly people, our cool festivals (The Calgary Stampede, Montreal International Jazz Festival, Caribana, Toronto International Film Festival, Just for Laughs Montreal, Pride Toronto are a few that come to mind), our great air and water quality, strict gun laws, legal cannabis… I could go on and on.\n\nIf you're able to afford living in Canada, consider yourself fortunate.

The thing is, if people have to wait 20 minutes for a cup of Tim Hortons coffee, It's one less business that they will have to work at in the long run lol, it'll backfire big time on them, what idiots lol.

It's sad that so many Canadians have to move from their hometowns/provinces in droves to financially survive and get ahead a little. Unfortunately, the droves of people fleeing Ontario and BC are driving up prices now (to buy/rent) in other parts of Canada like Alberta and Atlantic Canada where this is having a trickle effect creating Albertans, Nova Scotians, etc. to be homeless and strains on their provincial healthcare systems. It's a sad state of affairs, and I do not think a politician can fix this, unless they start demanding more and curtailing the power of corporations. A big rebalance needs to occur, but it seems unlikely when politicians and business leaders are on the same side (aka corruption / conflict of their own interests). Canada needs a division between government and business which is the case in many Scandinavian countries.

Indians have a very groupism mentality even within themselves although they are very friendly but for example, a group of Indians who are hindu and vegetarian will not welcome even other non-hindu Indians who may be non-vegetarian to live with them. Sometimes students from same study program also stick together and will not include someone from different program even though they go to the same school. But as a community they look out for each other in that way so chances of seeing immigrant Indians dealing with drugs and other crap that the white people do will be almost non existent. \n\nThe other ethnicities might feel threatened due to over whelming majority of Indians and they group together to voice their concern but those ethnicities are individualistic and don't care about the country or each other. They just get heated up in the moment as they don't see people who look like them. If Brampton was all rich white folks but still with a majority on the streets like San Francisco or NYC doing all sorts of crap , nobody will be complaining or make a big deal out of it. Apparently, that's acceptable.

Guys, Canada is big, u will never find jobs (or) be able to afford to live in Canada if u guys prefer just to live in Toronto, Vancouver or Montreal. My suggestion is explore northern Canada, jobs are plenty in those area with no one to work. New immigrants just dont explore outside the box in opinion. I am living example, came as a student, studied & worked median jobs fr 3yrs. Secured a professional job in the 4year and I travelled all across Canada fr opportunities (East,West,North & South). The minute u step outside u will see a bigger unexplored Canada that many new immigrants r missing out.
