I want to tell the youth that Khalistan is a waste of time and politicians in Punjab, especially sikh politicians are completely bullshit. They are corrupt and have no vision and rely on rural votes which is sikh majority and Jazbaati over every issue and largely into farming. The Punjabi Hindus, baniyas, aggarwals and Jains own the urban economy and are comparatively more practical and forward looking in life. Many of these sikh politicians sadly themselves are involved in drug, own illegal abortion centres and labs, and even coaching centres to send students to canada on fake letters in exchange for a lot of money...\nI want to tell the youth, There is a lot of good opportunity in India. I know Punjab doesnt have much as of now (hope someday one of us can take our experience and setup a startup hub there), but other cities like Pune, Hyd, Bangalore, Mum, Chennai etc are good and once you have a stable job, its quite satisfying. Punjabis especially Sikhs are also loved everywhere by common people. Please dont spend your money on fake asylum letters and Canadian Dreams without thinking and planning.

To be honest, i have second thought as well of leaving Canada... i love Canada but i find it so hard to live.. not jist extremely cold weather during winter but you have to chase your hobbies as well and the way of living here is supee high... I am an islander..i came from a beautiful tropical island..and I really miss home so much..white sand beach, tuquoise water, whale watching,dolphin watching,island hopping,scubba diving, free diving , mountain hiking, and more... i really miss it..i am planning to settle my retirement back home...

I'm an immigrant from the UK, which is in someways worse than Canada and some ways better, both Governments are corrupt and beholden to the US Empire and huge Corporations. Tell me why I should choose this authoritarian, dystopian nightmare of a country, over my home authoritarian, dystopian nightmare of a country? At least the UK doesn't steal your hard earned money, for protesting the corrupt Government. They may beat you up and arrest you for it, but that's kids play compared to what Canada does. \n\nMost prices in this country are as similar as the UK's, allowing for exchange. But food is unbelievably more expensive and the UK is an island. My husband wants us to move to the UK, but I have fallen in love with this country, it's beauty and it's people. I'm heartbroken, I can only imagine what those who were born here feel. When skilled immigrants come here and have to start at the bottom in many industries, no matter how rich their CV. When pay is as bad as back home, in some cases worse, why would they bother? Not to mention the taxes. And I happen to be a traditional leftist, who believes in progressive taxing. Trudeau is too busy cosplaying his ego into US proxy wars and identity poltics, which serves only to divide the people. His days are numbered, I only have to listen to my friends and neighbours.

Truth is that the immigration system has been a source of income and financial gain for the system but gives little back. Sadly many Canadians think the opposite is true. They think because refugees are given shelter while waiting for processing that means they receive support more than the locals. Truth is immigrants come here mostly on loans, spend years working and spending to support families back home, it takes years to understand the taxing, credit, wealth, education and many other resources that drives the Canadian community. This put immigrants in a position where they work more than the local just to meet the bare minimum life standards. If many of the immigrants knew the ins and outs of the system, then they would really take over and appreciate being in canada. \n\nCanadians and canada as a whole are welcoming. You might meet a few who have little knowledge of the global system and standard against immigrants, something that their countries economic system depends on. Remember your countries have never lived without immigration. From the day the first white personal stepped onto this lane, immigrants have continued to come in more different colours. It’s our duty to focus on making life better not on how we can make life harder for others. Wanting to live in canada with your own specific community and wanting others to stay away from a land that has been shared for decades is just a selfish stand. We all love canada because we all find peace here.

It’s been 5 years for me here and I honestly can say I have achieved nothing in my life yet. It scares me when I think I can’t return whatever my parents had invested in me. The fact is you’ll never have a good paying job in Canada being an immigrant. When I say this trust me I mean it. Most you’ll get is a minimum wage job which can make you survive the life here. Taxes are high definitely and what I feel is you’re working to make someone else’s life easier. \n(P.S: people who’ve stayed in Canada will understand who I’m implying to)\nNo one wants to be your freind, scope of socializing is zero coz mostly it’s cold round the year so everyone hardly come out, especially in Northern provinces like Yukon, Saskatchewan, Manitoba.\nHealthcare is a joke. If you feel sick and not well and you wanna see a doctor be prepared to wait for hours and hours. I once had stomach infection and I had to wait 5 hours till someone could see me. I asked for painkiller at-least so I could bear the pain but they refused that as well. You might well see someone you love dearly and with whole heart die in-front of you and you could do nothing. (I’ve experienced it myself hence saying)\nYou’re a lone survivor who’ll always keep fighting. \nThe only person who can make money here is businesses and high paid jobs which are reserved to Canadians. That’s how Canada’s job market is. Canadians’ first and if there’s something left they’ll look at you. By the amount of money people invest here they can establish a nice business back in their country itself and earn accordingly on own terms. \nMost importantly you’ll cut yourself from all emotional supports like family, freinds etc.\nI was social person back in India who liked making new freinds and memories but it’s nothing like that here. \nAnd it’s the same life, no different.\nYou wake up, dress, eat, go to work, come back, eat, sleep. No different.\nNo fun and nothing. You actually don’t live in present, you live in an expectation of a better tommorow.\nYou’ll always have a smile when you greet someone but I guarantee you no one’s gonna check on you to if you don’t start a conversation even with a simple “Hi”. Mostly Canadians are nice but again some will systematically judge you and say nothing but you’ll see in their actions, the way they’ll talk in a twisted way etc.\nYes I’m not saying that Canada’s bad or it’s no good but trust me it will take forever to build a life here especially with the number of people moving here from round the world. \nIf you’re well off financially from back home Canada’s a paradise for you. Indeed it’s a beautiful country with lots of beauty and lots to explore but remember everything comes with a cost here. Everything comes with a cost. People need to stop believing in this fake illusion and come only if they got a purpose here. The only reason why they’ll let you in the country is for money and once you’re in you’ll have to keep spending, doesn’t matter if you’re broke or whatever you have to.\nOnce I earn I’ll happily give up my PR status and go back to India as i very well know what the situation is how it’s gonna be in future.\nSo just one piece of advise to every middle class person like me, guys please invest and spend your money wisely coz we know how hard it is to earn and it’s high time Canadians start appreciating what immigrants like us do for them by burning ourselves day and night and start realizing that their past generation once came from some other part of the world as well and settled here. Being white doesn’t make you a nice Canadian, you’re actions defines you more than your words. \n90% of this country is built by immigrants and that’s how it’s gonna develop in future, so if they keep treating us the same way good luck to them ?.\nAlso a plus note to anyone thinking that Asians are stealing your jobs, go get outside and have the balls to face them and take it away from them. Staying home and ranting and abusing us that we’re taking your opportunities and blah blah isn’t gonna work. We are so successful round the world because we are hardworking, honest and respectful to everyone. Even if we’re earning minimum and barely surviving here we always make sure we’re not burden on the government or anyone else and won’t keep crying.\n\nA big shoutout to all you guys who came here in the hope of a better future but are still struggling.\nKeep hustling and you’ll reach there, if not step down and go back and start your life again on your home soil. There’s no shame in experimenting continuously rather than sitting ideally and crying about future. \n\nAll the very best my people and lots of love to you ❣️

I'm leaving next year as well. I've been in Canada for 5 years now and I love Canada.\nBut practically i don't think i can ever buy a house here and start a family. I'm 24 and i came here when i was 19. But looking at the way things are changing in Canada, the amount of tax burden it puts on honest tax payers because of illetrate immigrants from some parts of the world, refugees and people who don't wanna work is astonishing.\n\nMoreover Trudeau keeps giving away the money which is ours and keeps feeding others. Hence I've had enough. Canadians are nice but the government and some sections of society especially some Punjabi's are way too much for me to handle now. Canada isn't Canada anymore. Canada is not perfect and it has its ups and downs. As a Canadian, I still stand with my head up high and say I love this land of my birth, and I know there are many beautiful places in the world but there is none like home. Many have abused the system here, and play a major role in high crimes, high housing costs, and lack of stability. Like an ungrateful child, they forget the good things.

As an immigrant myself living in Canada for 11 years, I had challenges going to school but I overcome and graduated. Some immigrants, specifically the middle age would love have easier path which is not always available. Housing is the biggest challenge to a new immigrants to Canada, because the little money ? you make goes to renting and car insurance, still I'm not moving from AB. I love the summer camping ? to Banff ?

As a Canadian who never lived in the US but visited often, gojng back again. There are p!aces in the US that we love i.e Arizona on the top. Of course I would keep well secured weapons in my house if we retired in AZ. No p!ace is completely safe especially major cities. Keep this in mind as well that Canada is sparsely populated compared to the US. I would not raise my kids in any major city in Canada either. I have no problem with our friends in America. We choose not to hide but experience life even at some risk.

Canada is busy in stupid things and engaging itself in sponsoring wars and not focusing for its own betterment. I Love Canada and i hope it can get its respect and citizens lifestyle back.

Because we get nothing done here. My mom came to this country in the 70s and she loved how much progress they made every decade. But now we do nothing. We need to get Canada working. I love Canada. My mother immigrated here in 1958, and I was born here. Canada was good to her she said, and she was able to build a great life. Opportunity here is nuanced, it’s not easy, but with struggle, often to much.

The fact that Canada is horribly unaffordable and you can't just walk in and get a job as a doctor, is not exactly a secret. Did none of those immigrants bother to actually do a bit of reasearch before they came here? Or did they come based on the word on the streets that trudeau loves to hand out free money? When my parents came here they consulted friends that were already here and ensured jobs were secured before they stepped on that boat. I have family that simply moved from one province to another that did a deep dive on housing, labor market, cost of living and health care, and secured a job, before moving. The immigrants now just think they can step out of the airport and be handed keys to a new home and their preferred job. Their fault.

I love Canada. But i left it for tanzania, Africa. I left with 250k CAD and thats all i had. Now i own 3 luxury houses, 8 rental units, 100 acres of farmland with 2 semi-trucks, and I'm making quite alot of money from these investments. I would love to leave Canada. This country is not what it was when I was growing up. Went really down hill fast these past 8 years.

I love Canada, especially Toronto, my home for 20+ years. But I totally agree, in the past 5+ years, since 2015/2016, I noticed lots of changes to terrible, and never the same anymore. Although, I'm still very positive, there are still things that are amazing (i.e. events, volunteer opportunities), with extra caution, and visit other cities. Just living day-by-day, count blessings, focus on positivity, appreciate, and be thankful.

Of course there is racism here in Canada, but her examples lead me to believe that her family has issues. I love black people. Not sure if she's from the U.S., but she has a real anger and hatred attitude. We are all one human race. Love one another and treat others as you want to be treat. It's amazing how far that goes. First, there's nothing like a language barrier, to me it's slavery mentality of we Africans by the Colonia masters who have stolen our mandates and identity and replaced it with English language as our official language. I’m Canadian. I don’t appreciate criticism of our oil and gas industry. A lot of other Canadians love to criticize us when they have no idea what they’re talking about. If we didn’t have oil and gas up here, everybody would freeze to death in the winter. Oil from Putin, or Saudi Arabia is fine, but if it’s from Canada, it’s bad. I am a Canadian exasperated with the wait times for medical care here. There is a lot of prejudice in Canada against America. Our politicians are ruining our economy and many Canadians are more interested in sensationalism about American politics than they are about problems here. Everyone living in peace and safety can afford to criticise others. But Canada was safer, friendlier and more economically responsible in the past. There are unsafe neighbourhoods here, too. There is poverty here, too. Those who don't see deterioration are not looking closely. We battle the same demons as any people group and are just as vulnerable to calamity as our American neighbours. I don't want to leave my country. The people I love are here. The rising cost of living gives me fears about future homelessness. I grew up as a patriotic Canadian and believed America was our friend. We thought maybe Americans were more prone to bragging while Canadians were more modest. My nearest city used to be vibrant and friendly and now it is colder, more dangerous and there is visible ruin from addiction.

I lived two years in the south of the usa (in Texas) during my childhood in the 90's and it wasn't so bad. Weather was great ! People nice and great ! I did love the school there, I learn English there and math was super easy. In Canada, I went in a catholic schools and we were obligated to say a prayer before class begin. In Texas in my elementary school, everyone is up in the morning before class and there is a swear thing to say not the betray the USA with the right hand on the heart of our chest… \nSo… First day of school in an other country, in an other language that I didn't understand or speak, I did joined my hands together . I was correct by my classroom teacher and make me a sign to do like the other kids. So I did. I had told my parents they pray also before class but in a different way ?\nIn time I learn how to say the words without knowing it's true meaning. Well before I realize what it was when I was able to understand the language, I always sure it was a prayer ?\nCultural choc
