Yes, the Canadian way of doing things is really different. In Canada, we are the slowest, least efficient, and most resource-wasting management systems. Look at the police on the street: when they see someone committing a minor driving offence, they stop in the middle of the street blocking almost all street lanes to put out a show of power to everyone disregarding how the police is creating heavy traffic wasting other people' time, energy, money,and fuel. This is just one example. No offience, but this is the country of the dumb.

TLDR; I am an person from a wartorn, oppressive country, and I unfortunately do not have many options to choose from other than Canada to have a chance for a better life.\n\nLet me tell you from the perspective of a person whose dream is to come to Canada: I know all this already, I know things are going terribly and the cost of living has gone up significantly. But the unfortunate thing is, the country I am from, is currently in turmoil. I do not fit in there as a person and hate the culture. Its incredibly corrupt with no growth. I am more western, and open minded, and my original country is a strict Islamic country. I do not fit there at all.\n\nI know Canada has all these problems, but its my only choice for a better future, I dont want to go to US because I dont wanna die, also, EU wont accept me unless I am from EU myself or speak their language which is a catch 22. Australia is also becoming a shithole. That leaves Canada and NZ. NZ doesnt have that good of job prospects and limited scope and I love Canada, always have. The weather and everything that comes with it.\n\nYes its not perfect, but I think its more about knowing that I can go back to a place, that is not dangerous for me and my future family, where I will get good care if I am stable job wise. I tried to emigrate from Germany to Canada in late 2022 and already left again after 3 weeks when I experienced the mentioned reasons. Yes we have higher taxes in Germany but the inflation with groceries and rental is less high and I also appreciate the social security system in Germany more again. As a Canadian this video is only touching the tip of the iceberg. #1 Canada was built by immigrants (like my late grandparents) for immigrants, Immigrants regardless if they are here on a work or study permit are not the problem but the solution, always have been and always will be. Yes the part of the problem can be attributed to an inadequate affordable housing and yes the federal government does deserve blame for that. However as the 2nd largest nation in the world by land mass yet with a population less than California, we have a lot of underdeveloped areas from the Pacific to the Atlantic, and that is also the fault of the federal government regardless of political stripe. Regardless if people come to Canada to work or study, the federal government needs to make it more attractive to them to reside outside the BIG 3 cities of Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver which have become overwhelmed with immigrants hence the strain on housing and healthcare

FYI Vancouver is the 2nd city in the world where the most languages are spoken. More than 170. I lived in Vancouver for 30 years and my grandparents from the late 1930's until they died. All in all, Vancouver was part of my life for over 50 years. You can not compare Van with TO. Vancouver is very multiculteral with not alot of segregation depending on where in Van you are. TO is much larger. No mountains. No oceans. No big evergreen forests or close by trails, ect. I liked the people I met in TO but would never live there again. Van NO ice storms. But yes, Van rains much. It is West Coast after all. Victoria has many more annual sunlight hours. Van is land locked, surrounded by ocean. Most of those from TO speak negatively about BC in general. We would ask them why they are here (VCR) then. I left 12 years ago as Van is now ruined; nothing like it used to be.
