90% of the population in Canada people are really sick and suffering from different kind of diseases . That talks very bad for Canada that means the life in Canada is very bad ! As a person who has lived and worked in several countries (as an RN), Canada is still better than most. Certainly, better than the US for the average person.

Toronto and Vancouver are the most expensive cities in Canada. That would be comparable to wanting to live in New York City or San Francisco. Most people in either country don't opt to live in the most expensive cities.

People in ER have been dying in Canada after waiting for 10-12 hours. Canada does not publish these horrible things in india or in any other country to maintain her image . Free healthcare means no health . Aldo, not everytjing is free in healthcare . You need to pay for dental , eyes, mediines , physio , other medical eqipment etc . Canada has been lying too much . I am not Muslim but Canada is still a great country. A Muslim country will be a huge change and it does depend on the country. I lived in Morocco for 2 years and you are judged by your money. Really snobby people. They hate the poor and there are lots of poor people. Cost of Living has also increased. Lovely climate. No job opportunities for young people. I worked in Dubai for 6 months. All bling and only the 20 % have any proper say. Spent a holiday in Oman. Woman still kept back. Also might get caught up in Middle East conflict. Countries like Kuwait/Saudi etc very strict after freedom of Canada. Albania probably would not be strict enough for you. 60% percent Muslim. Had a holiday there about 10 yrs ago. Beautiful in summer and I believe still reasonable. Will be interested to see where you pick. I live in Ireland cost of living madly expensive!! I have cousins in Montreal. Have spent many vacations there. Why not try Vancouver for better weather? I just love Canada but all my immediate family are here. Canada is cold and miserable most of the year as you need to stay indoors, Travelling to work when it’s dark in the morning and coming home when it’s dark, how can that be enjoyable. People who enjoy living in very dry warm climates should live there. Housing would be much cheaper in most Muslim countries and no need to have the heater on 24/7 just to stay warm . The sports is so different, Grid Iron in summer and Hockey in winter. Soccer is much easier and to play Cricket all you need is a bat, stumps and a ball and off you go all day.?

I have applied to universities in Toronto, Canada as an international student for September 2024. But I’ve also been accepted to a university in Victoria, British Columbia. I am now second-guessing my application because so many Canadians are disappointed with the state Toronto is in right now. Is it still worth it to go and pursue my education? Before retiring and leaving Canada l lived just northwest of Toronto....the problem of Canada's demise is simple....poor government that decided to give the people everything they asked for but ignored the outcome.....but that's not unusual look at most countries that adopted the baby state option.... it's just not working

We’ve been here since more than a year now and we don’t have a car and we love the pollution free air here and the work life balance. If you live downtown, you don’t need a car as public transport is very convenient. If you don’t want to do things on your own and you definitely need the help from maids and so on, then Canada isn’t for you. It all depends on where you find a house. Very few people in downtown own cars. If you want to live a healthier life, Canada is a good place for that. We came in winters and settled with the help of relatives and thankfully it’s been good so far. Summers are amazing here. Job market is a struggle currently but it’s not permanent. And it is possible to find a job from India if you try for it. If you’re in IT, you don’t need to start from scratch. There are Indian stores almost everywhere and many Indian restaurants as well. You just need to find your place. And it’s an amazing place for plant based vegan people. Food quality is amazing and great safety restrictions. Healthcare also depends on where you live. If you find your people and friends and keep socializing with family, loneliness won’t be there. It’s better to move to a new country when you don’t have kids. \nAlso the accent gradually develops and there’s nothing to worry about. This place is very diverse and there are people with very different accents from all around the world. There is some struggle initially but it all depends on what your priorities are. Life here is very comfortable once you get used to the lifestyle here and the biggest thing is, work life balance and the quality of life. If you want to do things other than your job, this is a good place to do that. Kids also become much more independent here. Rest it all depends on what your goals in life are. Also one of the biggest factors is, if your partner/husband isn’t willing to help with housework or cooking, you can’t survive here. As simple as that. Many factors to consider.

All the reasons you cited are legit. And you’re right to say that it’s all relative depending on where you come from. If you lived in Canada for a long time, you will probably cite all the reasons. But if you’re from another country specially from a third world country, Canada is very much better to improve their lives. For me, housing, expenses and weather are the most important reasons to leave Canada. It’s all relative.

Canada is built on false promises to lure in immigrants to have them work for cheaper while ignoring it's own citizens. Canada should have high speed rails that connect the major cities but doesn't, we don't have actually good energy infrastructure due to projects being abandoned under trudeau that would bring a lot of money back. Canada is no longer Canada. Canadiens are almost a minority in there own country. We have very large cities that we are a minority in. There is so much hate towards white people. Canada’s cost of living is outrageous on account of ‘investment’ usually foreign, which is archaic, as ‘investment’ is NOT a ‘modern’ term, which means surrounded by a hostile force to besiege and blockade it. And yes, harassment in Canada is common it’s vast including ‘nice Canadians’ that’s only appearances and it’s not only on strangers it’s in their own families and businesses at large. As an immigrant to Canada from a country that produces some of the most in-demand professionals, inventors, and artists in the world, I am appalled at North America’s ‘get rich easy’ culture. The States at least has a booming innovation sector that ensures it’s producing things others want to buy and can’t themselves produce. By contrast, Canada’s ENTIRE FREAKING ECONOMY seems to be built on getting rich easy without producing a thing of value for the world: how can flipping houses be the largest chunk of your GDP?! It sickens me. I’ll live and work there - at a job that pays six figures and came to Canada only because I moved there - for a few years, and then move. I have never seen a more dull and uninspired group of people.

It's all good when you're a greedy landlord collecting rent, or a crooked private college collecting thousands of dollars. These are young kids who are being exploited by our country. On the other end of the spectrum, you have single occupancy residents living in multi-million dollar mansions with no declared income. We need targeted immigration strategy isolated to each province. We need provincial and municipal governments to start building affordable public housing again as they did in decades past. Expecting private developers to build housing is ridiculous. I am a son of immigrants, i am Canadian, I have a great job but I live in Vancouver. The average house in my neighbourhood is 1.7 million dollars. I think that is criminal.

Never compare a country with another. We are all educated immigrants who decided to immigrate over to Canada. Im from India, Canadians ive dealt with for my last 10 years are super friendly and sweet people. Yes as a Canadian now i love this soil, weather and i would not mind even giving my life for this country who has made my life better and given me all freedom to live my life the way i want.
