I have been living here for 28 years (that’s most of my life, I came her as a young child). My sister’s and I have experienced first hand racism due to our hijab in elementary school, high school, after 9-11 during job interviews (myself and my brothers due to their name being Muhammed). Over time things have gotten better alhumdolillah but racism exists everywhere and many have experienced it. Where there are people that use racial slurs or acts of discrimination etc, there are many more that will support you and guide you. I love Canada and wouldn’t live anywhere else but to say it’s not there and every case is dealt with the way it was dealt with our London family, is not the case. If it was, what happens with them would not have happened. May Allah help us treat one another with tolerance and love as Islam intends it to be. Once again thank you for creating videos like this to help our fellow Pakistanis.

It all depends what condition you are living in Pakistan. I like this Ashir but he has strong grudges against pakistan and has strong biased opinion. I came to canada in 2009 with family. I can tell you that those days were a little different less racism and pretty much no islamophobia now there is even if you admit it or not. If your daughter or wife does cover her head they can be in trouble out alone. Economy in atleast alberta and other provinces too is on decline. If you want to make good money medical fields are good like pharmacy nursing related rest is bad. My wife was a doctor in Pakistan cleared all her papers but didnt get any residency as of yet.

I do not mean to be negative here but anyone of you who is well settled outside Canada, don't come to Canada!, unless you want to do labor work. I know people who have done Masters in Software engineering are working in a Pizza shops. If there is one job opening there are 10 thousand applicants for the same job. Companies showing fake jobs to satisfy govt. pressures. Automated refusals replies of your job applications are common.\n People get hired on sources and within companies. Every region have different rules and regulations and policies. I moved to Niagara region and they charged me $200 deposit for water $200 deposit for hydro plus monthly bills separate. $1800 to $2000 is the rent of one bed apartment. Burlington where he lives has $2800 to $3000 rent monthly for a house. Go check online! Price of buying a home is in millions of dollars. Go check real estate.

What about growing racism in Canada.?

a lot can be said about your narrative. you failed to mention the age of immigration. That alone is THE single most important factor on the out come of the exercise . anyone over 40 should not immigrate. second the education and skill set you bring will be a major factor in the out come. Third there is systemic racism after a certain level which one can feel in very job. i strongly believe one should come to Canada, get top quality education and skill, work with top quality people/organizations which should not be more than 5-6 years, then go back home. the long term price of immigration is huge. This country needs hands to work and pay taxes so that their show should go on. I came here in Canada 12 years ago and got 4 professional job offers I choose one and moved to Windsor since then I am here in the same company and our company paid one million dollar to Islamic organization London after this incident , I never ever faced racism especially based on Islam even in ramdhan our company allows us to work flexible hours .... And respect our Halal food when there are parties arranged by company and my parents got immigration too ..so our family is reunited here ... Where by while working in Kuwait for 10 years and it was difficult to get family visa for wife even having a management position in a bank...

It is such a shame that follow Asians and even American Natives play such a role in perpetuating racism against African descent people, but I guess they have their issues of identity. As a Chinese born in TO, there is certainly a lot of racism there. Normally, it is a polite type. But this is Edmonton and police does not come until the next day; great, after the violence.
