Indian here, I applied for a Canada PR and just missed the PR score cut off by a few points, I am from one of the top universities in India, have a computer science bachelors and masters in economics, I am opening my own tech startup here and would have loved to open it in Canada and drive Canada's GDP. \n\nBut you know who get the highest score for PR? Low skilled people who do fake degrees(which are so easy to get it is lame, by the way I can also do it, but it will spoil by education reputation). The immigration system of Canada is a joke, It treats all degrees, jobs and universities as equal. Best of all I was offered to pay $20k by someone to get a Canadian PR. Again I can pay that much but do I want to immigrate to a country whose citizenship is being sold this cheap?\n\nTrust me when I say it Canada is getting the most average and at times the worst people from India. Indian government though should thank Canada for taking all these low skilled people from India that send Canadian Dollars back to India. They take away the middle class jobs, housing, etc in Canada and worse for Canada send back money to India leading to pressure on Canadian currency and reserves.\n\nThe simplest solution is to halt whatever nonsense immigration policy Canada has and only allow three kinds of immigration, people who secure high paying jobs in recognised companies, entrepreneurs that get funding from investors Canadian government recognises and count university scores only from top tier universities. Finally make it super easy for these high skilled people and difficult for anyone else.

All you need is to let thr Palestinians and Syrians and Afganistanis and Pakistanis and Rohingyas as your immigrants and I can assure you of the fact that they will all be an asset like Indians and Chinese immigrants by contributing to the economy. \nThats the only way out guys. This video is a load of crap. People want to live in cities that is why it is expensive. It is that way all over the world. I just sold my mom’s 3 bedroom house for 27,000 in small town Saskatchewan. Took 2 years to sell because no one wants to live in a small town. The utilities and taxes come to only 3,000 a year. As for grocery prices i just came back from a trip to the USA and checked their grocery stores. Their prices are the same or higher and in US dollars.

No, medical care is not good in Canada. Diagnostics are not good. Doctors never knew what is going on and don't seem to care. Italy and Germany are way better and have integrated understanding of medicine. ~ And, no, Canadians are not friendly but quite hostile and rude actually. The housing crisis is unbelievable. Last 5 years house prices went up dramatically. Cost of living; our grocery bills doubled in the last year! Health care system is crippled. We moved to another city and still waiting for 2/3 years to be assigned a family doctor! Safety is becoming more and more issue. People used to keep their doors unlocked. Now? No way josey. Not saying that a popular vote is the right way to go, but we have a population of around 38 million, and only about 30% actually voted for Trudeau. Canada is a sinking ship.

well, there was the wave of immigrants that came to Canada from Europe, and pushed out the indigenous, and established the christian way of living, including christian churches all over the country. So, we are now seeing another wave of immigration. I think we need to put this in context of history. This is simply natural evolution and time to figure out a way to work together, get along etc.... To be fair, in the first few seconds...I've seen communities in various countries that look Canadian/American or European, and that's not where the country was.\n\nYou can find pockets of people gathering together, hear a lot of English, find a lot of restaurants and products in stores that those people know and are comfortable with.\n\nIt's not just pockets in Canada or Britain...it goes both ways. Historically and now.

Canada hid its inflation in the housing market for a decade. The economy appeared to be growing, and real wages appeared to be staying in line with the consumer price index, but it was smoke and mirrors. If you removed real estate, GDP was stagnant. Wages were actually falling behind and people getting poorer and poorer without realising it. That’s finally become unsustainable, and inflation is showing up everywhere. And the wages are still stuck. The country is sitting on hugely valuable resources it could develop had it not put so many self-created political barriers in the way, and having indoctrinated their population about it along the way. Separately, The healthcare system is getting worse, consistently ranking 2nd last in the OECD in terms of real results delivered. The biggest problem is that the country’s economy is built on immigration to drive growth, rather than productivity, efficiency, or innovation. The more people you bring in, the more housing you need, but they’re at the point that they can’t keep up and people can hardly afford housing anyways. It’s a recipe for disaster. I left Canada by coincidence, having met someone from another country and moved there. I’m glad I left.
