Canada is not a free country as they advertise .... There are a lot of socialist behaviors by the government to control what you say and do. taxes are high, with many layers of tax on tax on tax then user fees for most things. Not sure what will become of this place with 3% of the population -> 1.2 million new people in Canada this year alone and plans to keep increasing that number. Canada will not be what it is today it will be something else similar to the mass migration waves into Canada 100 years ago.

Canada and the US only became FAR more developed in the 20th Century compared to all other countries because of their geographic location. They were able to develop with all the wisdom and knowledge of the Old Continents (Africa, Asia, and Europe) but without their total wars and upheavals to fuck things up. Canada and the US got two centuries of unmolested development. So as the rest of the world catches up, we come to realize just how mediocre Canada has always been. We're a less competitive people. We are not polite, we're just less direct and more passive aggressive.\n\nAny smart Chinese or Indian immigrant with genuine degrees knows how easy it is to out-compete and overachieve over the locals.\n\nCanada has third world public transit, infrastructures, and technology.

For housing, something that needs to be and should be discussed is the land base. \nI know some real estate players in BC that laugh when people talk about housing and affordability, they say look at the landbase and who controls it. In BC its a crazy amount to 94% and only 5% available for ownership of the people. No option to apply and buy anymore and only lease. That is why even rural lands in BC 40 to 60 minutes outside of a teir two or three city is still thousands per acre! To the coast to coast to coast average its 88%+ controlled by governments and not the people. Do the math there and you will start to see the connection. \n\nAlso, for health-care, its not free just paid for through taxes by the governments on the people. It is broken in so many ways and most likley too big to fix kr repair now without a full ripdown and build up. \n\nMany orher things but just my initial points.

Rent will keep increasing as there is no competitive market. as many of the people in Canada are already operating carousel tax fraud. Look that up on W5 and Canada is doing nothing to stop this, guess where all the ones at the top of that carousel are from? As long as there are ones operating illegal business earning more than the average hard worker being able to afford higher rent the rent will not be decreased but keep going up. Saying that they are bringing in mostly younger people is a lie too, they bring in everyone. That our workers are aging out and there will be nobody to do the work. Let's think about this clearly, as the population grows we need more businesses, more schools, more produce etc... Fact we need the same amount of business for a community based on the size of the community I would think. In the 1800's a small school house was sufficient, a local convenience store was enough with a mail order catalogue etc.. As population grows you need more. We also now have self check outs etc.. We are cutting down Canadas number one resource trees to make way for more and more roads etc.. Having to spend more to change and widen roads, feed these refugees, support them till they get situated, house them for how long, educate, train them, and then hope they can actually adapt and not hate us etc.. Look around the world and not just in our own back yards i.e. what happened in NY today, look at Britain afraid to put up Merry Christmas not to offend or any Christian monuments. Yet we have to tolerate. hmmm As said before I am neither Christian nor Jewish I am Natsarim and view those things as pagan myself but feel this world is going down the wrong path and nobody should have to cave in for the sake of others. I will stand with the Christian and I will stand with anyone that I feel are being made to turn over their ways for the sake of others and have their economy shattered in so many ways. Ask yourself what is your government really doing to protect you on so many levels? Many also come here only to study or take loans and then spend all that money they borrow and then leave, banks offer them special incentives with with welcome to Canada packages and they use it all up, buy goods, then sell them and leave. I read that it really is a problem and some have posted on quora if I owe canada money will I be arrested if I return or what will they do to me. It was quite a high amount on a special credit card he obtained that he maxed out shopping and then selling the goods. Now I know many can do that sort of thing and some by mistake, but those that have no intent to stay... The point is what is being done to protect us from purposeful frauds.

They have given very weird picture of Australia, at one point they said no racism and when about going back they started talking about white racism. They could have tell lot of other things about Canada vs Australia but this is all about their own life and they think that they’ve done lot of efforts but I have seen people in Australia who had pivoted their career and done better in their life.

Of course it is , the only thing government can count properly is the tax us poor people owe .

I love Canada and I love the fact its mixing so many cultures in together, but we just can't keep up at the current pace. Another thing lots of people have an issue with is the lack of diversity in the immigrants. Our services and lifestyles are being strained to the point where people are getting sick of it, put a cap on each country and only allow that cap to be broken for asylum seekers/refugees. This isn't a cultural/race issue either and people who say this shouldn't be called racist, I mean its honestly insane to call it racist when the very immigrants you bring in are making the same points.

How does bringing more people here help housing? More people means more homes needed driving up the cost. We dont need diversity! This is my home and Im sick of othrr cultures that are not compatible. Things like common courtesy is not common in other cultures. Dont need honor killings or cuvil wars brought here nor do we need war criminals. I dont want to wake up one day and find my home is taken over like the Turks took over Byzantium. I also do not want to deal with foreigners who expect us to change our ways to not offend them. A refugee should only be welcomed until its safe to go home, not stay here.

There are essentially two major problems when discussing this issue. First and foremost, it is VERY difficult for anyone to even attempt to bring up an intelligent argument because they are instantly branded a racist, so many people just keep quiet, which is not healthy in a democracy. Secondly, when examining the world as it is today, the inescapable fact is that the nations with a high standard of living and a truly democratic system simply cannot sustain the rest of the globe!! It's simply a numbers game, if we gradually permit the rest of the world to bring it's problems here, the outcome is predictable. I'm sorry but I feel that it's a terrible thing when I go out and almost ALWAYS notice that I am a minority. I don't care what your politics are, that is just wrong. And the aspect of that is most unfair? The countries where these people came from would NEVER allow that to happen. In fact, most often we are not welcome in those countries at all!

In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become the North Korea of the western world.\n\nTheir are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions and the various other benefits, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Well Canada, you had a good run. Time for Canucks to move to an emerging country. We welcome you here in Southeast Asia.

Good solid takes on life in Canada as it stands in the larger cities. My family immigrated in the late 80s when I was a young child to YYZ and the housing prices and quality of living was really solid back then. We moved to YVR in the late 90s and prices seemed to be pretty stable as well. Think things started to change shortly after my undergrad years in the mid 2000s. Unfortunately, the government wanted to increase immigration which is great, but forgot to build out the transportation infrastructure and develop the health care system properly. Foreign credential recognition is really the biggest bottleneck for newcomers. Newcomer employment expectations and what is available to them is not really matching up, I know this first hand as I've worked in the employment enabling sector. Weather as you mentioned is subjective, I prefer the cold, clean crisp air here in Canada, I don't do well in the hot humid polluted weather in most East and Southeast Asian countries. Crime has definitely been on the rise as many people around me have had personal experiences with this topic. Finally housing, to live comfortably in YVR a family income of 150K is probably bare minimum these days.

For sure, things are getting more tough around the world but what really surprises me is that the people who have been living for 10+ years in Canada saying that things changed in Canada. Well, of course, things will change, its changing everywhere including where you immigrated from. I have been in Canada for 5+ years now and finally am a citizen and I can tell you that where I came from is even worse in terms of inflation and affordability. People compare Canada to Dubai (where I came from) and say dumb things about the luxuries available there forgetting they can get these luxuries anywhere if they have the money. Even Dubai now, is much worse than 5-10 years ago, so take a chill pill and know what you really want in life and if the style of Dubai or Bali suits you more, then go ahead, Canada is not holding you hostage :D

As a born and raised Canadian I can tell you I agree things have changed \nMy pros and cons\nPros - clean, low crime, multi cultural, subsidized but declining healthcare, lower cost tuition for Canadian citizens compared to USA, polite but not friendly people \n-\nCons \n- bad weather for many months of the year. The problem is the US, we need to fix our problems at home with immigration first!!!! \nWe have immigrants on the waiting list, doing the right thing by following the law!!! If tensions are High, why would people want to keep disrespecting leaders who may hold life and death in their hands if things get out of hand? All leaders need to be respected. They should respect one another and fix this world with India, Australia, and Europe. Mexico and Canada will be crucial countries to fix this drug issue. You can't break the law and expect to be an exception. It's not fair to people who are doing things the right way.

The US government right now is a mess!! One way or another, in EU or North America you will have better life than 90 % of world. But worse than locals. I am white European and I hardly achieve life standards of locals in neighboring country. Do not have a victim mindset. Accept how things are. In North America there is more growth, but it is a way harder to raise up family. You might need a 20 years to achieve something. Or maybe next generations will. Look Italian Americans. They have been considered dirt poor for decades by other Americans. What is source of wealth ? All around world is the same - mortgage loan. Jamie Dimon of JP Morgan says 85 % of American middle family wealth originates in mortgage loan. Loan is always eaten by inflation. Is a gift by government for hard working people. Study mortgage loan - debt - bond markets. Banks business condition. Study which skills are in drastic need in your country of living. Get skills, get salary, get loan and buy cheap. These days the hardest is to buy cheap. So be hungry and look around like tiger in the Jungle

what has been shared in this video is nothing that people are not aware of. Everybody knows that you have to do all the work yourself,no maids, cooks, etc. like India.These facts have been there for years, nothing new about them. If people want to got there for further education, it is different, but then Canada is not all that good as far as higher education is concerned, there are better countries to choose from with better weather conditions and better lifestyle and high class education. Who would want to live in a cold and inhospitable country, payig through your nose. Here in India, if we fall sick even with just cough / cold, we can go to the nearest doctor and get medicines, sometimes we can even just ask the pharmaists to help us to choose some medicines for pharmasist here are half doctors.\nEven our standard of living has become so good, that we don't even feel like shifting to a new country. We have metros, good buses both AC as well as non AC, good trains, good resturaunts, hotels, what is it that we don't have here?\nIt is always better living as a first class citizen in our own country, than living like second class citizen elsewhere. The attraction and the charm of living abroad is no longer there.\nOur country has improved so much and so fast in the last 10 years, we have good bathrooms in schools and other public places, which was not there previously. Only drawback in our country is the traffic and infrastructure, which will also become better, but will take time, because of our country's population.\nIn fact you will find servants and watchmen all coming to work in a bikes or scooters, which was unthinkable some years back. Their life has changed for the better, they live in rented flats/or on lease, their children study in good schools and so on, and they dress also so well, that you cannot differentiate between them and the people they work for.\nMany of the so called advanced countries do not have many well educated people like our country, the children there are not as knowledgeabe like Indian kids, their knowledge is limited to the town they live in, they don't know anything about the world outside.\nAnd now with the Khalistani terrorist living freely there it is all the more dangerous. And on top of it, it is a country ruled by a dumb Prime Minister, who has to give asylums to all good for nothing, ( and all only for votes) uneducated people whose only job is to sell drugs to kids and indulge in terrorism and threaten people.\nGood thing, you have come back, for there is nothing like sweet home.

As a Canadian who has lived in almost all the provinces and territories, all my life, I can tell you that a lot has changed as I think the best time or era was in the 1970's and you may have come at the worst time as the worst appears to be now when everything has become too expensive. The other problem relates to Canada, its size, the distances to travel, the smaller tax base with a smaller population than that of United States or India. This is not intended to provide excuses but most people here do not even have a family doctor as many doctors find greener pastures in the United States where the dollar is 30 percent higher in value and salaries are not limited to government health care. It is hard to change when American influence dictates much of what transpires. Homelessness hasn't been a problem but the last five years has provided more hardship for many who find it hard to cope with how things have become.

Like you, I know someone happy with their job, location, medical care and opportunities, but they are also very uncomfortable with the political situation - I'll just say it - Republicans. You need only look at Trump and its followers. Guns over lives (including kids), billionaires over poor, religion over others' freedoms (gay/trans/abortion, etc), mass spread of misinformation (Fox news, OAN, etc) and a personal selfishness and anger which was made very clear during COVID times. It makes them feel like they are walking on eggshells, at least compared to Canada where they lived before and people would look out for each other more (even if they didn't know them). They like the weather, job, opportunities, the USD buying power, and their friends, among many other things, but it just feels excessively risky to them dealing with the combinations of these things. I can completely understand why they and others might want to leave the US.

It is an usual thing at cinema theaters, local train, bus travel, flight travel. Today the physique of each too tall to sit in economy or too fat to fit inside the seat. as space is limited. It will hurt the front passengers, and argument get started. Then open hair people spread the hair across the back of the seat which touches the passengers behind, children in their lap pulling and disturbing passengers in their front seat. Misunderstanding of who talked to whom. Phobia of people talk about them and start an argument.

When I had my kid in Canada, the only thing we paid for was parking. My cousin, who lives in Texas, paid 5K for each of her deliveries, even though they had great HC insurance. My son went through a whole 4 year, plus 1 year Co-op engineering degree for the price of one year's tuition in the US for the same program and he's gainfully employed. I also got 6 months maternity leave 26 years ago, and now people get 1 year.

I'm confused about something, I understand they don't have free healthcare in the USA. Do they have to pay for their medications too? I know we pay a lil here, but it's next to nothing. I pay $6, for a flovent asthma inhaler and $3 for ventolin. I looked at their pricelist and it was almost $300 for flovent and $80 for ventolin. I feel so bad for the American people. Having to choose between if I can breathe or not, must be one of the most horrific things to have to worry about.

I didn't know about the thing of the sik'hi knife that might be carried around public places in many countries. I thought the cop arrests the guy for wearing a turban ?\nThen I thought the thing is only mistakenly looked like a knife for some people from a specific perspective at a quick sight.\nBut if there's a real sharp weapon, then law makers and law enforcement have nothing to apologize for by limiting the use of this object and they don't have to explain the law, that should be limiting all citizens equally for their safety. They might know or not know the story of the symbol. Knife carried from point to point for making salads must be in a closed package, that's how I know the rule here in Israel. \nI wish more people would carry non lethal weapons, and that I could protect myself and still letting the judge decide later if my attacker should be punished physically, when anyway I'm ending this scene safe and...how you say? Sound? Like of music??\nI wish all humans can find the way to respect the peace, each others and the superior - in a way that can be agreed as good for all

1) Toronto is poor value. Getting housing of any kind (buying or renting) is stupidly expensive. And the quality you get for the price is lousy. Especially the newer builds, which are just thrown up as quickly as possible and sold to investors. Policy measures generally all seem to serve to just inflate the price of housing further. The occasional lip service given to affordability is amusing, but ultimately sad. There are lots of people who really do not want the housing bubble to pop. They will fight against it with all they have.\n\n2) It has become kind of boring. There is lots to do if you have money, but it’s harder to find entertainment on a budget. Even the free stuff like parks are filling up. Stuff like sporting events, eating out, going out is very costly across the board. Even the “cheaper” stuff is expensive. It seems like a lot of local culture is disappearing. Even the cool neighbourhoods are filling up with the same chains. I think the high commercial rent and bureaucracy is deflating a lot of would-be entrepreneurs. Most landowners seem to just be banking on cashing out their land for condos.\n\n3) Canada overall has a high cost of living compared to salaries. In the US you can find lower cost of living areas that still give you a real city experience. And in Europe you can be poor but still live a decent, if no frills, life. In Canada the basic necessities are all expensive. Phone bills, grocery bills, rent, insurance are through the roof. Domestic travel is expensive. And the dollar sucks if you want to travel abroad. Health care is free but good luck finding a family doctor or waiting 8 hours in the ER these days. It’s expensive to be poor, or even middle class.\n\n4) Most of the Greater Toronto Area, outside the core, is soulless suburbs with awful transit - very “American” except with worse traffic congestion. You will need a car, which is another huge cost. Row upon row of old cookie cutter suburbs with the same crappy houses. Good luck walking anywhere, and if you do you will need to walk down boring, treeless arterial roads with cars zooming past right beside you, and cross giant eight lane intersections that were never built for humans on foot. In a rainstorm or on a fall evening you have to be really careful not to be run over by aggressive drivers.\n\n5) It is hard to raise a family in an apartment here. You can do it but it’s not very easy, and also you are still kind of judged for it. Lots of young people are feeling stuck and are deferring or avoiding starting a family. Buying any type of house, even a basic townhouse, requires pledging your soul to a bank by taking a massive mortgage with eye watering debt in a volatile market. But few apartment buildings have the kind of sensible gentle density, the family unit sizes and the common amenities, like little courtyards with jungle gyms, that you might find in Europe. No one ever contemplated that anyone would ever desire to raise kids in an apartment. It’s just a cultural thing that has worked its way into how things are planned and designed.\n\n6) The transit system is ok by North American standards but awful by international standards. There are only two real subway lines, one stub line, one line that is permanently out of service after a derailment, and another line that was supposed to open a couple years ago but still has no date for opening. The subways go out of service frequently, sometimes for the dumbest reasons, and then it is a zoo of shuttle buses. The streetcars are nice but so slow. The buses are fine if you find yourself dreaming about riding a daily herky jerky rolling tin of sardines. They are building a lot of transit but it will take decades to get done.\n\n7) There is still a lot of cool multiculturalism and opportunities to experience different foods and cultures - one of the best things about Toronto. Increasingly though it seems to be losing the fun vibe of the 90s, when everyone celebrated each other’s backgrounds and was chill. It seems the immigration is not as broad based anymore and also people are importing a lot of their “old country” grievances here. The immigration system also kind of preys on people abroad by selling them a false fairy tale, so they end up dejected when they arrive and see how things really are.\n\n8) This one might be controversial but it’s kind of an ugly city. There’s nothing particularly of historical meaning or value. Some of the older neighbourhoods are kind of nice, but the last 25 years they have only built giant glass skyboxes, one after another. There aren’t the cool “missing middle” walkups like in NY, Chicago or Montreal (or even LA). There are very few buildings with much architectural character. Some of the buildings they deem “heritage” here are an embarrassment.\n\n9) For safety, honestly on this score I think Toronto is not bad. There are not too many real “ghettos” and it’s night and day compared to much of the US. With that said, there is more vagrancy and social issues these days, with tents and such. It’s very sad but the shelters are full, lots of homeless go into the libraries, parks and transit system. It does make it harder to enjoy these public amenities safely. It is nowhere close to Europe where you might let your kids run free around town. Canadian parents still helicopter their kids and the place again is not designed to really be safe for kids, in the same way as Europe.\n\n10) Finally, a bit of a double edged sword. Toronto had a lot of youthful energy - people coming here from all over. It is definitely not as sleepy as many parts of the world. With that said, it is becoming a bit of a transient place (minus the world class experiences like London or NY). If you are from elsewhere you might find it hard making and keeping friends. I’ve seen lots of people struggle because it’s is hard to build a strong social network. We have a very “shallow” culture here - people are extremely polite but not overly warm and hospitable. We treat one another kind of like neighbours - meaning we’d like to have a cordial, drama-free coexistence and otherwise kind of stick to ourselves.

Hi people all happening because of some stupid politicians. Coming from around this evil world. Back home they were no body & Canada gave them rights to do what you need to do but legal way. Some became politicians W/O any knowledge of this country. Some terrorists drug dealers criminals entered in this heaven & made it as hell.55 years ago I adopted canada my home. That time leave house doors open no one will come and steal any thing. Now you keep 4 locks Robbers will rob you. Killing crimes gone up to sky. Because weak politics.let people enter as Refugee & illegals which became burden on tax payer’s head. Own Canadian suffering because of out siders Stop Immigration for 2 to 3 years then some relief we will have. All criminals who are not Canadian deport them with permanent mark on their Boby so they can’t come back. Tax money will be saved. Canada still better than many others. Think of it like this: A long time ago, the UK and other countries took a lot from other places around the world – they took people, goods, and made a lot of money from it. This made countries like the UK rich, but many of the places they took from ended up poor or troubled.\n\nNow, people from those places want to come to countries like the UK. Why? This is a matter of shame. The honorable thing for the Government of India to do is to bring those Indian citizens back home starting immediately. India has experience in evacuating large numbers of its citizens stranded in other countries for various reasons and circumstances. ... And here is why:\n1. Insanely expensive housing with next to none disposable income left in the pocket. \n2. Inability to get into the real estate market unless $$$ was brought in as an investment. This will leave locals and people who were born in Canada left out for good even further. \n3. Extremely competitive job market. Newcomers will have to suffer for a long time to break-in. \n4. Depression and drug addiction is everywhere. It's more deadly than covid but the government can't address the problem because they lose control for good. \n5. Canada is far away from many other places, which makes things worse as you feel trapped in a workcamp with no place to escape. \n6. The cost of living is getting much faster with the salaries significantly behind year after year. \n7. Canada became the country of failed government, failed multiculturalism, too tolerant as a result. \n8. Retirement in Canada will be impossible for 95% unless you agree to live in the middle of the nowhere until depression kills you. \n9. Many who came to Canada 25+ years ago and still around felt trapped. Canada's source of immigration will likely be the poorest communities who will agree to put up with everything listed above just to get out of where they live right now. \n10. Sad, but true. I have seen a steady decline in Canada since 1998. Things get worse every year.\nAmen to that. I'll be visiting Lviv in 2025 for the first time since 2000 to check on my apartment in the city centre, not far from my Alma Mater LPI. I THANK GOD every day I didn't sell it and so I have a place for retirement!

After the years of seeing what this place is becoming i dont plan on having kids in a country where they tell you its okay to be confused . Certain % of people will know what i mean by that . Our government is garbage and dont think things are going to get better anytime soon .

The problem is canada doesn't let survive the small business and they support only chain business and has all monopoly, small individiual business can't survive in Canada, where ever u go u see same tim horton same walmart same supporstore same mecdownal same wendies same many many, every city looks same its like people are forced to eat what they serve there is no freedom for small business to grow in canda,, all food is full of GMO and organic things they don't import and all people got no choice and all is again monopoly everywhere. With all my respect\nLet us face it, more than 50% of Canadians are living below the poverty line, I may say : Seniors, people with special needs, single mams, natives !!! why ?\n Is Canada a poor country !!!! Absolutely not !!!\n However, corruption and mismanagement is eating 60-70 % of Canada's revenues\n As an Example : Canadian oil is giving away to American companies almost for free in return of of a royalty fee 3-5% , so, American sell our crude for $100 per barrel but Canada gets only $5 from this $100 , same thing is happening in our mining industries : Gold , Copper, Uranium. \nBecause, Canada DOES not have enough refineries to produce its gas it needs therefore, it has to buy it from USA at a market price !!!\n Canadian electricity is more worse, Qc sells its electricity To USA at 3cents per KWH\nthen Ontario buys it from USA at market price 50-75 cent per KWH\nCanadians are ripped off : for every Dollar the government gives to a special needs or welfare candidate, the government spend $10-$20 to manage this ONE Dollar, things are more worse with natives : the government spend $20 to $30 to manage each Dollar a native candidate gets !!!!!\n Probably !!!!!! Now , You know the reasons behind Canadian 's poverty symptoms including homelessness !!!!!

Housing costs,inflation are not just a Canadian issue. I am old enough to remember when interest rates went through the roof in the 80's and people lost their homes, and jobs were hard to come by including for my family. But things got better and they will again. For those who came here and were welcomed into the Country, and now want to leave, its probably for the best,for them and for the Country, They were not happy in their home Country, moved here,now are not happy here and want to move again. I know a lot from working all over canada and they come for the free money and health care and school, as soon at they are legal canadians every single one I know/knew left because they don't want to pay the high tax and cost of living, 1 guy I was friends with for a year showed me what he got to come here and it was = to 10 years pay for me at that time. Then he sold the house and cars and left after his temp visa expired, I know of people in AB and on the east coast working here and living 5 and 6 guys in a 3 bedroom and they send every cent back to their own country so they can buy land and housing, For them it's a great get rich quick plan, The one guy I knew for a year offered to pay to have my car fixed and I said no but he insisted it was free on his free tax payer supplied credit cards, If I was not from here and they offered me all this money and stuff Id be here doing the same thing, 5 years here makes you rich when you go home. 2 bedroom condo in Mexico is $85g so if I offered you a good job that will get you a house paid off and lifetime of saving in just 5 years but you have to live in another country would you do it. 100% I would Im looking at my adult kids who will never own a home if they stay here vs the people coming over for 5 years then their set, All my kids are planning to move to a new country for this very reason they are saving and then getting out when the depression hits.

Canada is in a catch 22 situation: We need to reduce immigration to restore the trust needed to build prosperity (the research on this is absolutely clear - see Putnam, et al, for example.), and we need to maintain it to make up for labor shortages. The fact is, polls show that trust is at an all-time low between Canadians, and it is due to bringing in too many people who are self-segregating and not assimilating. We pumped massive excess cash into our economy during COVID, did not produce enough housing, introduced laws that severely constrained agriculture and dramatically increased the costs of food distribution, and brought in massive numbers of immigrants, among other things. The fact is, we have crushed the birth rate, made homes too expensive, and raised the cost of living to a point where people are desperate, and our school system has destroyed the enterprising spirit that built our economy in the first place.

I am 10th generation Canadian and plan on leaving one day too just not sure when and where to go. Affordability is not good, no special things for the long term generations that their whole family grew up here, nothing with banks, nothing with education, nothing to advance careers for myself or my children, non allied people getting in. I remember when there was stricter immigration laws. I remember when one man could support a whole family. I remember when citizens would walk on one side of the street and allow others to pass on the opposite side walking from the other direction on the streets as well as in the stores, when people had more courtesy. I remember when people could joke and not get offended, when people would stand up for one another. When a community was a community. When you could be Christian and not considered offensive. When it was safe to say bless you and not be told to shove it etc... when you did not have to witness riots on the streets and a people divided and it was not believers and non believers either as the non believers would still be peaceful in the past. It is much more than that now. Now it is you are white and racist, which I am far from but have been accused and am very baffled at that statement because never in my life would I in the past ever be accused of that. I am now like, wow what am I witnessing? I just feel something much greater is going to come, but not knowing when. ONe thing I fear is there will be an all out war and it will be whites or Christians being the target one day.

I'm leaving next year as well. I've been in Canada for 5 years now and I love Canada.\nBut practically i don't think i can ever buy a house here and start a family. I'm 24 and i came here when i was 19. But looking at the way things are changing in Canada, the amount of tax burden it puts on honest tax payers because of illetrate immigrants from some parts of the world, refugees and people who don't wanna work is astonishing.\n\nMoreover Trudeau keeps giving away the money which is ours and keeps feeding others. Hence I've had enough. Canadians are nice but the government and some sections of society especially some Punjabi's are way too much for me to handle now. Canada isn't Canada anymore.
