Alright. The median age in Canada is 41years. That means in 20 years, majority of the population would be close to retirement, which also means that if a younger population is not 'brought in' it would be disastrous for the economy. I grew up in Brampton since the early 80s and witnessed the massive cultural/demographic shift over a period of 20 years. Now, it has become the place to go for a lot of the newcomers, and that was what it was. However, with the recent illegal immigration there has been an unprecedented spike in crime. Firearms, drugs, pr@stitution, car theft, and home break-ins have all gone through the roof. I know that it still hasn't reached Toronto status yet, but we are very close considering the size of the population. We need to deal with home first before we take on the worlds problems.

As an immigrant to Canada myself, I have to state the obvious, the problem isn't about immigration, per se, as it is about the lack of discernment. Not all cultures are the same. Canada can and should give preference to immigrants from other democratic countries. When you import the third world, you import its problems. It's commendable to try to save everybody, endless respect, but your citizens have to come first. Canada can't save the third world by becoming a part of it.

i am a citizen, an IT professional. it has been 4 months and i have not been able to find a job. i have 12 years experience with multiple certs. IT field has been flooded by indians. they get into HR then only hire there own. they have whatsapp groups, where they share jobs, with each other and ask to apply, then refer each other within the company. 1 indian is hired and then whole company becomes indian. Canadian jobs should be for Canadian Citizens first. Stop immigration, stop renewing temp work permits, stop allowing students to work. we Canadians cannot find a job.

You have no idea how silly everything is in the job market. I am a computing / finance professional who is looking to switch to a new job. The first question they ask is whether I speak Punjabi? Of course, I don't! Then they tell me to find a new job. My friend who applied to Walmart got rejected because he doesn't speak Punjabi. My friend's son is trying to get a summer job at KFC but the Indian manager wont hire him because he is not Indian!!! We Canadians want to work but can't find work because they wont hire us. There is no skill shortage in Canada, just selective employers who only hire people on student permits and work visas.

The real problem is that Indians don't assimilate very well. In Fiji Indians were first brought in 1879. After more than a century they finally took over the government. This has led to 4 coup de tat. I personally wonder if Pierre Trudeau implemented a plan of social engineering in order to destabilize English speaking Canada. A very real problem is legislation that has favoured minority groups. The 1984 Multiculturalism Act has stifled debate on the subject and the Employment Equities Act of 1986 has allowed minority hiring quotas to discriminate against the majority. Just remember that it was Canadians that voted for this.

I'm South Asian. My sister used to live in Brampton actually before the whole invasion began. Good thing she saw the writing on the wall and left. Sad thing is, many can not differentiate the browns who have immigrated pre 1990 and the ones who have come in post-pandemic. The ones coming in post-pandemic are the village trash, entitled, and snobby. Those people are the very same reasons we left our countries to begin with. It's wild that when we migrated to Canada we see the very same filth and trashy people we experienced decades ago before immigrating here. The worst mistake I have done in my time in Canada was to vote Liberal (for the first time ever) back in 2015 and many of us regret this choice.

As an immigrant and now a proud Canadian citizen I firmly believe that Canadians comes first. Full stop. This whole issue falls not just on these students but also on the feds who abused the international education route to bring in more people and make it lenient so they get more votes and keep winning elections but it backfired.
