Of course... rejected.. hurts..

I've been hearing a lot about El Salvadore lately and this super high murder rate they got there. Of course anyone could be caught in a crossfire but are they really just picking random dudes up off the street to murder? I imagine the stats are MUCH lower when you control for things like gang involvement and other criminal behavior.

Let's put it another way... I was born in Canada and I had moved abroad at 30 for work and was gone for about 10 years. When I got back, it happened to be the same year our PM was waiting at the airport for the arrival of some refugees with winter coats for them and their Medicare cards, as well as housing provided for them. I had to run around for a full month trying to get my drivers license renewed since it had expired, and had to wait a full 6 months to get a probationary Medicare card, p-r-o-b-a-t-i-o-n-a-r-y....I felt outraged. I am not saying that many don't have a valid reason to flee their country, but when they know that they will receive housing and cash, of course people will flock to Canada, even if they aren't fleeing something.

Great video, but I disagree with the section on the hijab and niqab. Both are symbols of the wearer's membership and commitment to Islamic extremism, so of course people are going to be upset about it. If someone were to parade around in full KKK garb they'd get the same comments The hijab and niqab are not part of Islam, but part of Islamism.

Canada may only invite skilled workers but treats those that come here abysmally. I have worked with engineers from China, Russia. These engineers need to take courses to qualify for work in Canada. Many immigrants to Canada come as skilled workers but end up underemployed here in Canada. This ought not to be if Canada invited them to come to Canada.

I am actually shocked to see this information. I did not know. I travelled to Vancouver & Vancouver Island 5X. 2X with my African-American girlfriend. I didn't see any biased behavior at all. Of course, I was not looking for it. We were treated courteously on both sides of the boarder. My grandmother was held as a White slave for most of her youth (indentured servant) in Canada. I have some prejudice about certain people and topics and I stereotype of course. It's an automatic thing for humans to do. We immediately assess everything and anyone around us. That's normal. Now, what isn't normal is going out of your way to violate the rights of any human being or to harass them in any manner. Obviously we can't help what we think and what is in our heads but we can control whether or not we act on these things. Fortunately most of us do not act on our thoughts, but some people do.

I think honestly the Islamic face covering when the lady was collecting made people uncomfortable because as humans we read each others facial expressions. Also in the western world the face covering tends to be a symbol of how women are mistreated in the Middle East. Of course the people who commented those rude things were obviously bigoted but the ones who just walked by & didn't donate just prob felt uneasy.

I know racism exist being Mexican living in Mexico, I have experienced that. Although the shopping and looking for apartment experiment is great, has anyone stop and think yes it is about race or color of the skin but also a interesting point is your clothing and overall appearance instead of the skin sometimes, when shopping if I see someone entirely dressed in black with hat and some sunglasses isn't that suspicious (of course is discriminating but I have to use that example in order to make my point) instead of actual color of the skin? I think that's another aspect to further study, how you dress and the image you project is a factor for discrimination itself, instead purely based on the race.

shopping while black -- happened to me. I was in high school at the time, and I was playing hooky from class. Went into a Lucky's shopping store just to look around, to pass the time really so that I could skip first period. Manager stopped me on my way out with angry tone, demanded me to open my purse and accused me of taking something. I hadn't of course. Black people do not steal more than white people! If the only people you are watching is black and brown people of course that is the only people you will catch. I had a white friend that worked at a Walmart and she said she caught way more white people stealing than blacks but management did not call the police over half the time and let the person go. But for the black people that were caught the police was called every time. I have even seen it myself when the sales person clearly saw the makeup in this white girls pocket, I know she saw it because I silently pointed it out to her and she just walked away. Tolerance is not a one way street. Canadians (and other westerners) should wake up and realize that, and also form a basic understanding about the evils of islam, that muslims stand for.\nMany douchebags and pseudo-liberals of the Ben Affleck kind, will go to great lengths to defend islam and muslims while knowing absolutely nothing about that religion or its followers, with the only purpose being to selfishly display how PC they are.
