Really? I just read an article recently that Canada's population growth rate is the highest in more than 30 years. There are also several published articles which showed that across various metrics for healthcare, the U.S. was the most expensive, but ranked the worst in terms of outcomes when compared with other industrialized countries with universal healthcare (including Canada). I live in the U.S., and I can tell you delays (and we're talking months) in being able to see specialists or your primary care physician is very common. Google the name Wendell Potter, and see what you find.

Most of these reasons are the same in each country. Been living in 4 countries and I can tell you that it's the same almost everywhere. Also, taxes are not that high in Canada. I live in a country now that has almost 50% taxes. And I'm just in the middle class. I've seen few of those videos now and I have a feeling that people complaining about Canada are the people that haven't lived anywhere else. US is the worst possible place to live. No work-life balance, toxic work culture, no holidays, no vacation, no healthcare, working people being homeless, violence, racism, wokeness, gun violence. As a born and raised Montrealer, I think it has some of the worst weather in the country! Super hot and humid in the summer and lot's of mosquitoes, and then two months of temperatures below -10 C.

Taxes are meant to run the country's affaires but people are just mean. You love it when you are broke and are able to benefit free services from the government but when you start making some money and are asked to contribute so that the country can keep up with all it's programs you start complaining. Come back to Africa, there is always a trade-off. No good service and less taxes. Just keep in mind that Africa not developing is our choice otherwise the cost of development is that, in a way ( higher taxes and government's direct control over people's affaires). I thank God anyway that you people can complain of better living condition but I would rather get busy working hard in Canada than not finding a decent job in Africa or bare the cold whether than sleeping hungry in Africa. It’s funny a lot of people are leaving there homeland, and even when they get a good education they never return to help their homeland. The depression you get in the winter is so bad that it affects you physically, mentally and spiritually. Canada has changed for the worst over the years. It no longer is a paradise for the poor immigrants. Heavy Taxation, bad healthcare system, corrupt government, extreme weather condition, high cost of living, boring, work and life imbalance, discrimination, traffic and the list goes on. This is the reality we face after the excitement of moving to Canada fades off. Quebec wouldn't be my number one pick. Montreal is a nice but the winters in Quebec are cold as are a lot of the residents. The government is socialist with high taxes and the worst covid lockdowns in North America. Not a welcoming place for Anglo Canadians or American traveller's. I would probably say BC is the best province. It has the best of everything.

Every province has good and bad qualities, except Ontario. I lived in Ontario on and off for about 20 years. Not one good thing comes to mind about this province, not one. I've also lived in Quebec and Alberta, both great. Ontario is like the armpit of Canada, it just stinks, definitely because of the government overreach, extremely high tax robbery on everything you buy, very high cost of living compared to both Quebec and Alberta. Both Alberta and Quebec are wayyyyyy cheaper to live than Ontario, and to be totally fair, the people in Ontario seem to be the most narcissistic i've seen within 3 provinces i've lived in, and with the worst roads. So much car repairs every single year from just driving on the main roads, which are basically just pot holes because they line their pockets with the taxes instead of using the money to fix the roads. The people in gov make so much money, there is none left after their payday to fix the roads or build any parks or things for families. Ontario is actually a bad place to live, especially with other good options available, it's the only province i don't recommend moving to if you want a decent quality of life. You can't even find a doctor here unless you live within or drive for 2 hours to get to the city. It's extremely inconvenient and expensive for no reason other than tax grabs and high fees for every single thing you have to do in life, there's a high fee for that in Ontario.

Partition was the worst mistake

Honestly, I don’t know how to describe and definite my experience. I came to Canada for my university education by the end of 2013 after I finished my high school in my hometown. That was my first time to go abroad, and living in a totally strange country all alone. New surroundings. New friends. New culture. English speaking. Everything is new for me, and I cannot figure out how I feel at that time, because it’s so complex. Both excited and afraid. In the next few years, I traveled among several different cities. Winnipeg. Vancouver. Toronto. I met many people and experienced lots of things. Some were good and warm, and some were not, and the worst thing was I found I cannot get used to my life in Canada. I don’t mean bad, but I still feel I’m an outsider. I cannot get in. Neither my life nor my schoolwork. So much loneliness. I left Canada and go back to my hometown by the August of 2017. There was nothing strange for me at first 2 years. Everything looks normal, but by the flying of time, I found myself cannot stop missing the old days and experience in Canada. Even the worst part looks so beautiful. I have no idea how could that happened.
