This is plain and simple. There are not enough places for rent. For both Canadians and a never ending population growth from outside canada that outpaces building. \nIn three months they cannot and will never be enough places built for rent to justify bringing over 430 000 people.\nSo based on that alone those newcomers will be taking a place for rent away from a Canadian citizen. I love that we are transforming Canada into a space for fellow South Asians. As soon as we start expanding our population and slowly introduce our culture and way of life, it'll be a safe haven for people like us. I'm Indian, i never understood why people want to leave our own country to become secondhand citizen in another country. But the problem is, the caste based reservation in education and jobs make it difficult for the indian creamy layer to find opportunities in our own country. Education is high, but no work opportunities proportionately.

Make unskilled immigrants pay more income tax. At least make it worth it for our tax system

Lets not forget boomers are complicit in this. They reaped all benifits of living in a thriving homogenous country with good wages. They were able to purchase homes, have families and make a living wage. Now they expect younger generations to pay for them in retirement. We have paided for all of their excesses. Now not native canadians will be able afford any of those things because they are importing people to prop up pensions and benifits for boomers with foreigners who will never assimilate and do not respect canadian culture.

Canadian Born people in Brampton aren't jobless because there are immigrants. They are jobless because they have no education and there isn't a lot of work out there apparently. Crime isn't related to the Indian population. It is related to no work, no education, living in the streets and doing drugs so once again, to Canadian Born people. This immigrants are mostly from one indian state ie Punjab. In Punjab every young person just have to dream i.e. to move to Canada. Thats a good answer but he should have added that it cannot come at the cost of Israel. Both sides have a right to live in that region in peace. Arabs (Palestinians) and currently Hamas have been trying to eradicate all the Jews since 1937 atleast when they made deal with Germany to do that.
