At least Canadians are HONEST about immigration. Everything this minister said is true for every country. No country can produce all the manpower it needs from within its own country. Canada is openly begging immigrants to come. Europe needs immigrants and cannot admit it. Europe (Berlin Conference 1849) divided up Africa an colonized plenty of other nations and now they wonder why they are coming to a town near you!!!! YOu can wage wars all over the globe, instead of going into these countries and securing safe zones to keep all the potential immigrants on their own soil!!! The fact that they are already in a boat is already far too late.

People just come here to complain. If you are good in India, why did you go to Canada? Just a visit is enough to see how life is here. Even India has lots of problems high taxation, education and healthcare is too expensive, cheap labour etc. \n\nCanada is good for only those people who struggled to grow and were not earning enough in India.

Canada immigration system needs to be updated, right now even people come here with a visitor visa can work or apply for asylum, there are lot of loop holes in the system.

Yeah I being Indian I have faced lot of problems from Indian land lord , they are pain. Again all of them are not same , as India is a wide nation with different sub culture in there. Indian guy here. This is fairly accurate and not racist at all. Even we Indians know that this immigration policy makes zero sense and is serving neither the citizens, nor the immigrants. Now, these students realize that they have been scammed and that the colleges are worse than diploma mills because most of these schools have less than a ten percent graduation rate. Majority of the students who came after the pandemic were business professionals who took the pandemic as an opportunity to get back to education. They chose Canada because of its beauty and friendly people. The reality of which is they paid 3 times as much tuition as a Canadian, got abused at their work place for bare minimum wage. They paid a hefty price for a degree that no country recognizes. Its funny how your PM cashed your CERB cheques with the cash of international students. Its sad how Indian students follow the legal process to enter your nation and get hate for being illegals. Students who have a CRS score 500+ struggle to make a living while your government provides easy immigration by asylum to people who themselves burned their countries down. Its sad to be in a nation where getting a call connected to the CRA takes more time than getting political asylum. Your government spends your tax money on asylum seekers and their 6-7 kids who come with them and not international students. We bring money to your nation. 7 billion dollars is what the students bring your nation every year, while your PM sends 5 times as much to fund someone else’s war. You put a communist dictator to represent you and you are paying its price. Darker days lie ahead for Canada and they have nothing to do with Indian students.

As an immigrant to Canada myself, I have to state the obvious, the problem isn't about immigration, per se, as it is about the lack of discernment. Not all cultures are the same. Canada can and should give preference to immigrants from other democratic countries. When you import the third world, you import its problems. It's commendable to try to save everybody, endless respect, but your citizens have to come first. Canada can't save the third world by becoming a part of it.

You have no idea how silly everything is in the job market. I am a computing / finance professional who is looking to switch to a new job. The first question they ask is whether I speak Punjabi? Of course, I don't! Then they tell me to find a new job. My friend who applied to Walmart got rejected because he doesn't speak Punjabi. My friend's son is trying to get a summer job at KFC but the Indian manager wont hire him because he is not Indian!!! We Canadians want to work but can't find work because they wont hire us. There is no skill shortage in Canada, just selective employers who only hire people on student permits and work visas.
