My experience has been different. Came at age 48 with family mostly for children future. Initial struggle followed by more than 20 years full time work in a company owned by Canadian but most of us working immigrants from different countries. Had a wonderful experience working as a team. Company grew from 5 including owner to about 30 when I retired. Most of of my contribution was from skills I obtained on the job. The flexibility I got was help to spouse and children. The three of them achieved good outcomes. Taxes are high. I never worried about that as children had professional education with no financial help. Only my steady basic facilities provided as I had steady though lower income than what I had back home in relative terms. What we get back from taxes we pay in health civic facilities education for children is great return of taxes paid. What I got was quality living. No luxuries. My purpose of coming here more than fulfilled. Happy family. Grand children now enjoying higher quality of life than what I had or my own children had. I do notice recent trends of immigrants expectations not very encouraging. I have enjoyed the multicultural atmosphere friendship and regard for each other. My colleagues and I have been of great asset to the company we worked in.

1.) the bureaucratic red tape to get into the country “legally” is so much more than it was 30-40 years ago (not to mention the Mexican government being even more corrupt). If it was so easy to get in “legally” (just waiting days in line), don’t you think people would just do it?\n2.) if you’re deported, if often comes with a ban on returning (or even applying to return) of 15-20 (even longer?) years. Covid was just starting to get under control but many still needed treatment and BOOM, the population went from 30 million in 2014 to over 40 million in a decade, most of it in the last 3 years. We native Canadians are scratching our heads, we don't understand what the Liberals are trying to accomplish but to create suspicion and racism between groups of people -- divide and conquer? I hear gun shots nightly in my ethnically mixed neighbourhood, and we are all afraid to walk at night. Unfortunately the people arrested are mostly from continental India. Some have a political agenda that has to do more with India than Canada, so they recruit young Indo-Canadian children from good families and tell them they are being oppressed, and next thing these kids are acting as drug mules and enforcers, being told that they are fighting systemic racism. As for dancing and music, I love the cultural events, we are happy to see and even take part in Indian cultural events. IWhen I do hear people blaming India and Indians it breaks my heart too! Hopefully together we can fix this. Our governments are at odds, and I hate this -- they need to respectfully talk and work this out. My family were refugees fleeing from the Vietnam war due to fear of communism and religious prosecution of being Catholic . We came to Canada in 1989. My parents had little to no money , they didn't speak english before. They work hard and did any menial labour job to support the family and help my siblings go to school. Of you invite immigrants to fill a demographic hole that has been forming for 30 years you need to provide incentives to companies to build anywhere but Toronto. The government has neglected this and so now tens or hundreds (500) thousands of migrants have landed in and around Toronto because that is where the jobs are. In the Ontario town I grew up in back in the 60's, most families had at least four children, most dads had factory jobs and most moms were stay at home moms. Most families owned modest three bedroom homes, kids played sports, had bicycles, food on the table and never felt poor. If you are under 30 today, the Canada you are in absolutely SUCKS by comparison. When I graduated high school in the mid 70's I could have got a factory job that paid 10k a year and bought a modest home for 20k. Now, in the same town, a person earning 100k needs about 800k to buy that same house. So, people under 30 are giving up on getting married, having children and buying homes. Canada, thanks to Justin Trudeau, is on its way to becoming a third world country, but without cheap food.

Cut all government funding to universities and give the money directly to Canadian citizens who attend university. That way the international and local students can be on the same footing with no question that Canadian taxpayers are subsidizing foreign students while their own children cannot get admission. (The influx of foreign students is driving competitive admission grades to absurd levels, leaving Canadian students with relatively good marks, marks that were considered outstanding 30 years ago, unable to get into universities in their communities.)\n\nThe reality we have here is that Canadian taxpayers still shoulder the majority of education costs in Canada, but those same taxpayers' children are being denied education opportunities in their own communities because of foreign students. I have worked with and around Indians for 30 years. Many are my friends but most look for loopholes in the law, they avoid paying their taxes and they cheat. This is not a stereotype. If you have a huge home with multiple families then pay for your services. This is not a recent problem, it has being going on for years. Marks use to replace work boots if they work out too quickly, why not have the person with the largest feet pick them out, use them for 8 hours, pass them on to the next person and again. Then get a free pair. They aren't made to wear 16 to 24 hours per day. Our social services are to help people get on their feet and contribute, they are not free handouts. ICBC, UIC, WCB U O ME. I have been hearing this racist rant since I came 53 years ago blaming the immigrants. I have never worked less than 50 hrs a week since coming to Canada and am enjoying my hard-earned retirement. I'm afraid you don't mention that all Students must bring at least $50,000 for their duration. Imagine all the jobs they created e.g. Teachers, bought food and other essentials. By the way, they have their own medical insurance. There is a shortage of workers, and small businesses can find workers. The other day we stopped in Barry'Bay for coffee they were closing the place at 2:30 pm because they didn't have enough people. You cannot blame students for the housing crisis there are other factors. Canada's economy is doing fine compared to other G-7 countries. More foreign students will fuel the research and development of this country, so please respect them.

I left Canada 30 years ago and it was still a great place to live. Today, I would never move back. The Canada I grew up in and loved, is gone.

Announce that everyone here with expired visas have 30 days to leave. If they cant atrange to leave within 30 days then they must report to government who will arrange their flights. After high school, I moved to Montreal to work as a fashion designer, (I have to mention the shock I experienced whenever I would fly into Toronto for business... when I went to get a taxi, there was always a massive line of Indian taxi drivers standing outside next to their taxis. I had the feeling that I was no longer in Canada, but somehow ended up in India?) Having lived in Montreal for 30 years, I recently moved to Guelph Ontario, to be closer to family and I was shocked to see how many Indians had moved there, (going to the dog park, I was informed by the people there, that Brampton was called Bramladesh and Guelph was turning into another Bramladesh.) There was a massive temple built in Guelph a few years ago and suddenly Guelph was invaded by Indian immigrants, with every house put up for sale bought by an Indian family, (the husband, his wife and their kids, the brother and his wife, their mother and father, all living in a 3 bedroom house with 3 cars in a 1 car driveway, (for some strange reason they all choose to dig up the black asphalt driveway and replace it with white concrete??) So yeah, the white people in Guelph are fleeing en mass, as it becomes impossible to sit in the back yard, or open a window, without choking on the powerful stench of spices coming from the Indians living next door... it's like being punched in the face from the horrific smell when you walk your dog and pass by one of their homes! That said, it feels like their goal is 'global domination' and with 2 billion people living in India today, it's just a matter of time before they all decide to leave the most over populated, the most polluted and the most corrupt country on the planet, and move to Canada!

I am Canadian born citizen, unemployed, 2 and a 1/2 years. Because I didn't know that the Trudeau government in 2022 when I lost my job due to the pandemic was allowing them to import T.F.W's as executive assistance my level of experience into my industry. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get an interview withe almost 20yrs of experience and I was trying every trick in the book but a week ago I learned that they brought in over 2 years 300,000 admins at all levels from E.A's to receptionist now. So imagine my horror and shock to learn that 5 days ago. But you walk in everywhere. And it's just Indians from every part of South Asia and I am all for immigration I'm a child of an immigrant, but immigration is a science When dealing with a country like Canada, where it's designed to be many cultures like a 20 bean soup. You're supposed to try and keep it at being a 20 bean soup and within 3 years it became like a 2 bean soup. It's a science where you're replacing your dead, and then you bump it up like 10% to grow the population slowly with GDP so that you don't have so many Canadians. Unemployed and temporary foreign workers that come are employed. So everybody's contributing but the way they did the open door everybody bum rush. And over run the country. Our economy is now 60% dependent on people who aren't residents. They're temporary which means when they leave our fake economy is actually only built on 40% to 30% of Canadians. That's an economy that will crash because it's never supposed to be weighted that way, Canadians are supposed to be 60% to 70% of the economy and foreign workers are to be the rest. So we're in trouble when they finally go home, but they need to put a moratorium on PR's, Work permits, LIMA's, T.F.W's and restrict all educational institutions on how many Students they can accept so private schools don't scam students by taking their money then telling them they don't have a seat for them to attend class that is just criminal and do so untill end of 2025 and then review status again for 2026. So Canadians can have a shot at getting work and then slowly introduce them back in as needed for proper slow population growth and not just a free-for-all ability to work anywhere in the whole country. Major cities and everything like that. So people like me can finally get back to work.
