I am a Serbian and Canadian living in Canada for the last 24 years. I love \nthis country I respect this country but my God is so much different than it used to be or it is me. This summer I went with my kids and wife to 6 different countries in Europe Eastern Europe and Central and have seen 2 alcoholic then I come to Canada I see thousands of drug addicts on the street. everything is overpriced ppl do not enjoy in here. When I came in 2000 Serbian economy was low due to the war now it is better and Canadian economy is worse so the gap is very small. you need to make 6000$ to live just ok and I do live well but there is always but. I call it a pressure cooker, I wish all Canadian travel abroad a bit just to realize that they were lied too and that there's a lot of bs. I can give you an example: Condo in Belgrade same size property tax is 200$ per year condo in Qc Gatineau 2500$ plus condo fees 400$ per month basically 7000$ wasted for what? no dr wholes on the street broken system. It will be for sale. I agree paying taxes on my house where I live but for rental property when you deduct all the expenses you invested so much money without any profit. the one that works and the one that scams the system make the same amount of money and we live approx the same. something is wrong there. I will live for many years to come but definitely not spending my whole life here due to many circumstances and expenses. Family values are getting killed and I have issues with that. The more I was pushed to change the more I went to church and believed in old fashioned traditional values. As you said I will always be grateful for what I made but working hard for two jobs in the last 20 years I would make that somewhere else too. Canada has changed too much since I came that's for sure. What triggers me the most fake approach when ppl say I make 100k wow then you didn't get that, that is only on the pay stub. how much did you get 50k that is the real money then you need to add deductions house tax this tax, sewage, water it comes less and less and then you realize that in reality you make more but you spend so much more with less quality of life. who cares how much you make the question is how do you live with the amount that you make.?

I love it how the video conveniently omits the reason why the housing supply is so inadequately low in Canada - real-estate developers and rental agencies lobbying all levels of government to keep zoning laws draconian and to make new construction increadibly difficult. For example, an enormous proportion of Toronto's urban area is still zoned exclusively for single-family housing. The landlords, who are currently extracting record profits from regular people with no sign of decline, are more than happy to shift the blame towards immigrants, and it saddens me to see that respectable media outlets like the Guardian are becoming a part of it.

I know Canada has lots of problems I’m a third generation Ukrainian Canadian and I have travelled to many countries around the world and this country will always be home. I also am proud to have a Canadian passport lets me travel the world and how so many people all over the world love Canadians. We are well respected all over the world ??

Then let me tell you about Ukraine my Ukrainian lady, I lived back home for 30 years and moved to Canada for 28 years I live in Ukraine on and off for 9 years I have more friends in Ukraine than back home and Canada together with the most beautiful warm good hearted people I ever known maybe when the war is finished you can try your luck in Ukraine what a beautiful country don't believe me? ask your parents if they don't like something they will tell you on your face I feel like a king there they all love me respect me if I need help they will help with no questions, good luck to you my Ukrainian lady ?

Now memory came back to me when I was in Vancouver for 3 days and enjoyed my time over Canada in 2015 for a concert, Canada was the first country I've visited outside of the United States I'll never for get it the people where amazing very polite there was a moment in my life that I wanted to move to Canada now thinking over my decision after some years later I'm glad I didn't. I can't believe how bad it has gotten I'm now sure its gotten worse now. Respect your decision I glad to see your doing it, I would love to experience life for us... we only live once it'll be amazing for anyone do what you are doing, I have been thinking of going over doing content about traveling because it is about the journey and if for some reason If I like then.... go for it! As an Indian student, i would like to share with you my perspective \n1) you will never see me dancing in public, blasting music and littering \n\nI actually spend my sundays cleaning plastic from trails \n\n2) i am a full time student for 4 years funding over 90 grand for a bachelor on top of that paying my taxes and paying 1100$ a month for rent being limited to 24 hours a week I do not work outside campus I work the job the college provided to me \n\nThe problem comes up when people use the 1 year and 6 month diploma program to enter the country and work here full time \n\nThey associate themselves only with indians mainly because they cant speak the English language fluently \nTherefore they associate with the exact people they associated with back home \n\nHow will they adapt to a new country if they hang out with the same people \n\n\nI came to canada with a goal \n\nTo make Canadian friends \nLearn about Canadian culture \nStart a new life \nAnd work my ass off to get my degree \n\n\nMost people move here to make more money \n\nThey sell their land and do so \n\nPlease do not associate hard working indians who adapt and leave their past behind with these people who have come here purely to exploit the system\n\n\nTrust me I know it's hard to hear this but good Indians do exist. I have so many Canadian friends who love me as much as I love them. Most people here are anticanada because of a select few bad experiences. I am immigrant from East Africa and I love being Canada because culture. I came canada 18 yrs ago. Canada was different now and then. I love politeness and smile canadian has when they meet new person. \n That is reason I choose to Canada but now is different. Indians do not respect people and are not open to be part of Canada. I'll be honest while writing this! Being Indian i feel ashamed nowadays bcoz of Trudeau's love affair for Khalistani's. When i came here 6 years it was way better but in last 2-3 years Trudeau has literally dumped whole Punjab into Canada without any screening. I’m a Canadian and my wife is an immigrant for Punjab and even she thinks this is all getting out of control. She came here to start a new life with me after we met and to get away from Indian culture which she thinks is now seeping into everything. In India it’s survival of the fittest, one must do everything they do and take advantage of everything in order to scrap by. Canada and the Canadian mindset isn’t equipped to handle that, so it’s no surprise you’re suddenly seeing Indians everywhere who are telling Indians back home how to exploit the systems to get more money fast. Hijacking what systems Canadians have to gain the social mobility that they can’t have in India but in doing so they’re making it like India. They don’t respect any other culture than their own my wife won’t even step foot in Brampton because it looks, sounds, and even starting to smell like India. And the problem is being exasperated because these people who are from very tight families are trying to bring their whole families too people who are elderly with no literacy or language skills to integrate into Canadian society to work and contribute to the economy so they just live off of their children who came first. I’m not racist all of my friends are international and are of one ethnicity or another and I’ve been to India and love the country it’s beautiful with amazing food lol, but this is getting too much out of hand and we’re letting in the most cut throat Indians in who will exploit everything and step on anyone to get on top. They won’t even respect Canadian laws and customs. We’re not equipped to deal with them

Skilled? Tim Horton's isn't something we need to import people for. We need Doctors. I think there is a plan to turn Canada into the new India. Within 4 blocks of where I live there is now almost 30 Indian restaurants..... Might be a dozen other types. It's one thing to come here, respect the way of life and another to force your way of life on us. I love Indian culture and Indian people. But we have a culture here and i'd like to keep it alive. So many dramatic changes have happened just in the past 5 years. I welcome adding something. But not completely replacing what we have.

Because it comes off as like a bragging or a snobbery and I don't go for that. The worst mistake during the pandemic lockdown in Canada was the government shoveling out free money and people reinvesting it back into their real estate. So you have billions of Canadians locked out of their jobs big shovel taxpayer money and they all just started renovating their homes. To the point where sheets of plywood were you couldn't find them and they went up 100 times and price. Solo's hundreds of billions of dollars that the government's going to take back and taxes from us all draw the cost of housing through the roof. Instead of at the time redirecting half of those two it was 500 billion take a half of that investment in putting it into infrastructure technology innovation for industries. Our education systems from kindergarten through to postsecondary education and spending it on the Canadians that were here. We've turned our post-secondary institutions in Canada into diploma Mills where you know your VA and your you know postgraduate degrees or you know they're worthless. However the government and the education system grew into a very profitable industry grinding out worthless degree after worthless degree for foreign students who thought when they got these degrees with 50% of Canadians have. People have to realize that post-secondary education is a big business so they're going to sell you a dream that's going to cost you a lot of money what I suggest is when YouTubers want to do something on Canada do some proper research let people know that we really do have quality post-secondary education system but you have to look at when you graduate those jobs going to be there to pay that large salary does White collar jobs are disappearing almost gone I purchase an app for my company with small company about 10 employees this inexpensive app alone has taken my office staff from 7: to 2: I have a 10 Red seal tradesman tradeswomen these 10 highly skilled trades people earn between 125 and 145,000 a year in gross salary and I need five more of these highly skilled people and I can't find them cuz everybody's running in to get a useless postgraduate degree. I do find it slightly offensive that a lot of new immigrants new Canadians immigrate to Canada to purely exploit it for its wealth Canada should be looked at as a place to come put your hard work in the struggles the ups and downs? and look at it as your home instead of you know a piggy bank but people are going to leave and there's a long line up to get in I've seen in my 40 year career you know three major reps and three major downs. What's happening in Canada's economy and the economies around the world it's all the same the US economy's doing quite well and talked to last couple of weeks friends that have invested their and families have been there long-term at present the United States is building a war economy so there's money pouring into that effort it does have a booming you know Hi-Tech boom as well however the tech boom is offshore with American companies and it's taking place in a part of the world that no one would think it would take place so if your graduate in the tech industry go online do a little research you'll find out where it is the USA is building a huge chip factories I think they just poured in 70 or 80 billion dollars we're in a transitioning economy don't get discouraged put your head into it do your homework find out where these new jobs are coming from which jobs are not going to be here. Traditional White collar you know middle management upper management jobs they've been gone for years everyone's think of themselves as an independent contractor. Also if you're a millennial or was a gen z person there's going to be a massive transfer of wealth over the next 20 to 30 years as baby boomers simply die off and then you guys are going to inherit their money I live in any one of the g7 economies I just got to find your niece with your qualifications and get in there and innovate because there's not one g7 country that significantly doing better than anyone else another interesting part of the world is East Africa I'm retiring there in 5 years I've already done my homework I've already got partners I've already started to train up people there in East Africa Canada and those parts of the world they have East Africa's great basic infrastructure so now that they've got their first level base of infrastructure a second economy is built off at the service that basic infrastructure that basic infrastructure allows for that second layer a bigger layer of investment you know and that's where the real money is for mid-level investors and you know highly educated Young westerners have got 10 years into their respective careers and these are also very beautiful countries you know so you can if you got family in Canada family in Europe India Asia you know you can start building networks collaborate on projects you know in these you know emerging economies you know mid-level economies but that's you know a good 20-year grind to get good at your career and build your confidence to go into these places and get these things done also you know it's a great life adventure but never expect just because you have an advanced degree that the door even come knocking down your door to employ you if you're going to wait for the opportunity to come to you you're going to be waiting forever you got to take your advanced degrees get out there and hustle and work hard man Canada's doing fine about four or five years it's you know it's going to take off next level and it's going to boom for 40 years and it's never going to get any cheaper in g7 countries Amy's emerging economies his pockets around the world they're starting to come up to in the window to get into these emerging economies with your advanced degrees it's closing if you don't make it if you don't start looking at it in the next 5 years your degrees are going to be gone useless and if you do decide to put your career in these emerging economies like Asia South America Central America Africa do it for the right reasons not just for money we don't want to make the same mistakes as like the industrial Revolution where a few people get rich and the people in that country you know don't get anything have respect for these countries employ their people and you have to get into these places before all the big corporations get set up there cuz they're they're going there Canada's a great place as a great time free medical system and I urge anybody that's feeling down or depressed in Canada you know to go get some therapy join some clubs talk to people don't get down and mostly don't you know don't give up on yourself you guys made it through you know Elite post-secondary education system and if you can if you can do that I mean you can you can do anything a lot of hard work ahead truly best of luck to all you guys

I've never had a problem with Muslim people but then again in Toronto, as a normal average respectable fun loving good friendly neighbourhood Canadian, I've never felt more like the ethnic minority then I've had in the past 10 years then I do now. ? \n\nHey Canadians why is Canada looking more like new India or new China??‍♂️\n\nIf I'm not mistaken Canada's identity is supposed to be British, French and First Nations Native North American. Canada origins are made by Christian white people and the land was founded by first Nation people. If I didn’t have family in Canada, I would go back to the USA. Vastly overpriced here. Lacking tremendous leadership, yet America is presently worse. My hope though is the recovery rate is better in the USA. Global respect and support is far better in USA. A melting pot mindset rather than major diversity….better weather also. Any kind of religion is allowed in Canada but immigrants need to know, understand and respect that Canada is a Christian country. Canada is built on false promises to lure in immigrants to have them work for cheaper while ignoring it's own citizens. Treadeu doesn't care about his job and only uses it now to take tax payers money and fund his lavish lifestyle he's a rich egotistical douche that will only ever operate in his best interest and will lie and say what he has to for people to believe him he doesn't care about Canada or it's people only about keeping himself wealthy off tax payers dollars. If there was more of an effort on infrastructure and technology Canada could have been similarly valued to the states but treadeu ruined all major relationships and is a laughing stock globally it's very clear no world leader even respects the guy and hurts canadas trading potential massively along with how we're viewed. Canada tried way to hard to be it's own thing and different which also helped shoot the country in the foot. The government is extremely corrupt outright denys separate parties from speaking, underhanded tactics to win elections, control over media. Canada is a first world country but a declining one at that and if something doesn't change it will easily become an impoverished country where we will only be used to have our resourced sucked dry and sold to other countries to profit off while the elite remain powerful in Canada. Canada is seriously wasted potential. Canada should have high speed rails that connect the major cities but doesn't, we don't have actually good energy infrastructure due to projects being abandoned under trudeau that would bring a lot of money back. I used to love this country but as it is now I despise it because it's become crushing to live here as a bachelor making 32k and renting

US family here. We were a big downhill skiing family, and often spent our winter vacations in the Laurentians. The exchange rate was great back in the 1990s and early 2000s. So when the time came to start looking at colleges, our daughter already associated Canada with fun, and fell in love with the University of Toronto. She was accepted. But before Canada would issue her a student visa, we had to provide evidence that we could pay full tuition, room, and board out of pocket. For all four years! They wanted an iron guarantee that she would never become a ‘ward of the state’ or consume public assistance services. We had to jump through soooo many logistical hoops for her to attend, it was exhausting to facilitate. But she graduated with honors in four years. All that time, the city was beautiful, clean, and vibrant, though not inexpensive. The St. George main campus, Queen’s Park, Bloor, Yongue Street, more. Everyone we met was friendly and respectful. We very rarely saw homeless and never tent communities. And crime seemed almost nonexistent except for bicycle thefts. Our daughter made many international friends and forged great relationships she carries to this day. So many wonderful memories. So it’s heartbreaking to hear how downhill the city has become. And the US is no different. It’s all in the politics, and neither Trudeau’s nor Biden’s policies are helping.

why there should be islamic environment in Canada ? rather any country which is not being called as islamic country? \nYou people should understand that if you are moving to a different country, one need to follow that country rules , respect and adopt their culture but keeping your values high. But not trying to impose your practices in other countries. \nThis is the problem today for any person with Islam background tries to run way from their own country where you can pray 5 times without any issues but trying to show case that the same is not available in other country where you move for better life and bread and butter. \n\nIf I have to say reasons, I will never bring religion and religious practices as a reason for moving out. Because I will keep those things between 4 walls. Once I am out side of my house, I fee any other person is just a human. \n\nFirst of all don't give high value to religion. Religion is part of life but religion should not be life. If educated people like you think in this way , Imagine what others will think. \n\nSo my suggestion is religion is good to follow. but don't make religion as important beyond life. It will neither brings close to god or nor close to a neighbor who is of different religion. It can be any religion per say.\n\nIf you kids should be like kids, then teach them life, not religion. It should be a tiny part of their life but should not be their life. \nAlso think twice why there is hate spread against muslims. There are many more religions are there around the world. Why only Muslims are being hated highly across the world? - You have to ask this question yourself. Sure you will find better answer and reasons for the same. \n\nLast but not least all these are friendly suggestion. Neither I hate any religion nor I love only one and most of my comments are generic and applies to any religion.

Also please do consider Oman. It’s a beautiful truly Islamic country. The Omani Arabs are most respectful and calm people. I loved living there. \nYou can drive and visit dubai in 4 hours. Believe me you don’t want to live there. It’s like Disney land. Visit have loads of fun then return home to wonderful Oman. If you work there as an expat you are provided lovely accommodation, tax free income and a tickets to your home country every year during your month off. \nIt’s super clean and many US, Canadian, European expats extend their contracts to stay longer because of the luxurious lifestyle.

Move out of Toronto and you'll love Canada! I immigrated last year and like everyone else I went straight to Toronto to find a job. I did find a well paying job but even after that, the city was not affordable. I liked the part that it's easy to find new people and settle in the city because everyone's very open minded and welcoming but the rent al market is absurd! Public transport need a major upgrade! The only thing apart from social life that I liked was toronto's biking culture and community. But taking ttc, specially the subway is scary! Road rage is becoming a norm, no respect for pedestrians or cyclists. The city is broken.\n\nI am now living in London, Ontario, and I feel a lot safer. Fortunately, the renting is still not as bad here but you need to own a car (well, that's just North America) and then you can life a comfortable life.
