Our education systems from kindergarten through to postsecondary education and spending it on the Canadians that were here. We've turned our post-secondary institutions in Canada into diploma Mills where you know your VA and your you know postgraduate degrees or you know they're worthless. However the government and the education system grew into a very profitable industry grinding out worthless degree after worthless degree for foreign students who thought when they got these degrees with 50% of Canadians have. People have to realize that post-secondary education is a big business so they're going to sell you a dream that's going to cost you a lot of money what I suggest is when YouTubers want to do something on Canada do some proper research let people know that we really do have quality post-secondary education system but you have to look at when you graduate those jobs going to be there to pay that large salary does White collar jobs are disappearing almost gone I purchase an app for my company with small company about 10 employees this inexpensive app alone has taken my office staff from 7: to 2: I have a 10 Red seal tradesman tradeswomen these 10 highly skilled trades people earn between 125 and 145,000 a year in gross salary and I need five more of these highly skilled people and I can't find them cuz everybody's running in to get a useless postgraduate degree. What's happening in Canada's economy and the economies around the world it's all the same the US economy's doing quite well and talked to last couple of weeks friends that have invested their and families have been there long-term at present the United States is building a war economy so there's money pouring into that effort it does have a booming you know Hi-Tech boom as well however the tech boom is offshore with American companies and it's taking place in a part of the world that no one would think it would take place so if your graduate in the tech industry go online do a little research you'll find out where it is the USA is building a huge chip factories I think they just poured in 70 or 80 billion dollars we're in a transitioning economy don't get discouraged put your head into it do your homework find out where these new jobs are coming from which jobs are not going to be here. Traditional White collar you know middle management upper management jobs they've been gone for years everyone's think of themselves as an independent contractor. I was an immigrant child coming from Uzbekistan to USA. I got married and had 3 kids, we built our family in the US, but left 7 years ago, and moved back to Uzbekistan. I'm confused about something, I understand they don't have free healthcare in the USA. Do they have to pay for their medications too? I know we pay a lil here, but it's next to nothing. I pay $6, for a flovent asthma inhaler and $3 for ventolin. I looked at their pricelist and it was almost $300 for flovent and $80 for ventolin. I feel so bad for the American people. Having to choose between if I can breathe or not, must be one of the most horrific things to have to worry about.

I used to think we were very much the same and I wanted to live in the US for the weather. But as we go often I have found the atmosphere and attitude has changed greatly in the last few years. People we used to be friends with don’t speak to me anymore as I called them on their awful beliefs. I know it’s not everyone but those beliefs have become way more common. The US used to be more global but now has become way more worried about themselves. \nYou can not talk about politics in a way that’s just a calm exchange, the hate is palpable. I went to an event the morning after a mass shooting and was visibly upset, not one person there talked about it or really thought about it. I asked someone about their thoughts and said “I don’t know why we have so many shootings here in the US” \nEducation is my next thing. 11 years ago a trip to the ER in Texas cost close to or more than the cost with insurance than a the cost for an ER visit in NS (for those out of country who are not covered by our provincial program). \n\nWe would pay $50 copay at the ER, then over. The next few days we would receive a bill for the physician, then from pharmacy, then from the facility, then from X-ray, etc, every separate department would have its own portion. \n\nAnd then there was the unpleasant surprise when the doctor who saw you in the ER was not an “in network” doctor even though the hospital was “in network”. Our insurance paid 70% of (approved) in network costs, but only 50% of out of network costs. Keep in mind that “in network” hospitals and providers had lower negotiated rates with the insurance companies. Which meant you would have coverage of 70% of a negotiated lower rate for in network but out of network was 50% of a higher rate.\n\nMy neighbours were lovely people. The culture was much different than I expected. The gun culture really hits you in face. For the first while it seemed to be so obvious - signs on pharmacies, hospitals, and schools that state that guns were not allowed, even with a conceal and carry permit. Very quickly, that became “normal”….\n\nFood was amazing. Gas was cheap. Politics was everywhere. Christian mega churches were everywhere - along with some very vocal overbearing people who force their beliefs and opinions on anyone who is near them. \n\nI was surprised with the number of people who felt it was appropriate to discuss religion, politics, and money with virtual strangers. A lot of very personal questions as well. I am guessing it is the difference between what is considered extremely rude in Canada, vs what is just a regular question in the US (or that area of Texas). \n\nAnd another very different thing was how hardly anyone swore. I had the bottom drop out of a bad carrying glasses when I was in San Antonio, the glasses broke, and I said “Shit.” I have never seen so many heads turn towards me. Most of the females looked at me with complete disgust and a lot of the males laughed. I expect that the American who heard me swear, were thinking I was the rudest person. One of my children’s friends was from Australia and when their mom came over one day, she said something to the effect of “so glad you are Canadian” because she sis not have to worry about offending me if she said fuck. That was a relaxing afternoon.

There are just not that many options of places to live in the US that are good, especially if you don't want to be isolated. As an American I thought about moving to rural New Hampshire.. which doesn't have city problems, but still, kind of cold and isolating and they might have meth problems. I decided on Miami as a home-base, its expensive, but there aren't many other good options out there.. Living in another country is psychological hard after awhile and dealing with visa issues.. I thought about moving to somewhere like Budapest which is very nice, but if you aren't part of the culture or know the language, its hard.. Its better sometimes just to settle down somewhere, I can't get anything done as a nomad, constantly worried about where I am going to next, living in other people's apartment isn't always comfortable..

Not only is life in America about to get A LOT harder for the average American, but expect for more to be take from YOU and GIVEN to these people. You absolutely get what you vote for. I don't think anyone truly understands how difficult, time-consuming and painful the US immigration process is unless they either work in the system or have immigrated. My dad has been waiting for an F4 visa since 2007 (priority date December 2007) to come to the US and be reunited with his family, It doesn't look like he'll get the visa within the next 5 years even though he's been waiting for 16 years.He's just one of the millions of people trapped in the broken American immigration system.His experience has thought me to never even try to immigrate to the US.

There are Chinatowns and Little Italys and whole Mexican communities, but ultimately everyone has to interact with everyone else. Allowing 300,000 Indians to get green cards every year and only 1,000 Norwegians would lead to the Norwegians merging well with the country, while the Indians would all move to one or two cities and make entire sections of the cities like small versions of their own country. Which is the last thing we want. Once an immigrant community gets enough power to be a voting block, things are scary, but once it has enough power that they start getting their own representatives and passing laws for the rest of us? Laws the look like laws they had back in their own countries… that led them to run from their countries in the first place? It’s a concern. We want people to adapt to the USA and not try to adapt the USA to them. Over time, the US does change due to the growing voting blocs. But that’s after generations of those immigrant populations getting larger, and their children being born and raised in the country they’ve adapted to. When I see a protest of Muslim immigrants burning pride flags, or Chinese and Spanish-speaking Hispanic immigrants who never bothered to learn English, I see problems with our immigration system. But the kids of the Arab immigrants will be more tolerant, and the Hispanic kids will have grown up in American schools. Most Chinese-American kids might speak some Chinese at home with their parents, but they’re worse at it, and their first language is English. It takes second Generation immigrants to really start meshing with America. But if entire school districts are all Indian, and every store, restaurant, and business in a whole town is Indian, then those kids won’t adapt to America. They won’t get bits of their home culture from their time at home and with their neighbors, while also getting bits of American culture from their classmates and other people around them. Nope. They’ll only be exposed to the first Generation who completely took over the area- IF, we allowed for unfettered immigration from the largest countries. It’s a fact that immigrant communities like to stick together. But if not enough people are in that community that you need to reach out to others around you, it helps expose you to the rest of America… Anyway! There are a ton of shows that indirectly show this phenomena. Fresh Off the Boat. The Sopranos. Even Brooklyn 99. We see as traditional and hard-to-adapt parents have to deal with kids in the next generation who are more American, don’t follow the same customs and traditions as their parents, and overall just left more of their old culture behind. No one is asking that immigrants abandon their cultural ties, but if you come to America, there are things that people need to change and accept if they’re going to live here.

America has mad shootings daily, they are famously the dumbest country on the planet. Democracy is important, but the USA is falling away from this. Two political parties is dangerous too. Need way more options. The facts that a majority of Americans voted in a celebrity billionaire racist loser makes me think they are even dumber than they are famous for. Climate incompetent. The number one problem I have with the states is the education system or lack of it. The public education system is awful. I’d rather live in about 50 other countries first. USA sucks ! Listened carefully to everything that was commented on and I too was a little surprised by what I heard. Being from southern Ontario actually near Buffalo and I am close to the USA but I am glad to be in Canada. Many of my friends go to Florida for the winter. They state that they will politely listen to the politics but never chime in with their opinion. The american political situation is very much like the religious situation with the Irish and the Northern Irish Catholics vs the Protestants. Your political separation borders on insanity. The current republicans lie through their teeth and keep repeating those lies. Listening to the Irish is equally exhausting. When I travel to the United States I am always glad to be home when the trip is over. While in America, I find most people are wonderful and we are always treated very well. If the Republicans snap out of it and the gun lobby loses their grip on the narrative that everyone needs a gun I think the attitude of Canadians might change. One thing for sure I am very happy that big brother is right next door and we will never have to deal with what the Ukrainian people are going through. In that instance I am glad that America keeps improving their weapon systems and their innovations and mass military production. \nI am sure there are many lovely places in the USA but the media focuses on the bad news of the day where violence and shootings and political insanity dominate news. I understand they’re trying to run to a better life. But I don’t really think they know what America is going through nowadays. They have a unrealistic reality of how the US is supposed to be. It’s not a safe haven we have thousands of homeless on the street who are born and raised here. They’re going to come here and be in a tent right next to those born and raised Americans.

Just found your channel and love it as a Canadian. I feel a little bit proud, but do not ask my son. He is never coming back and is living in Vietnam. And the only countries he would be in are Vietnam and Australia and US. Canada? No, I wouldn’t. I just moved from Vancouver to London, uk. Lots of people asked why I didn’t move to New York. Main reason is health care. I’m a self employed hairstylist and no one is providing health care for me. Second is gun violence in general, mass shootings are a big issue, just because it hasn’t happened in your small city, doesn’t mean it won’t. Mass shootings are just the most extreme version of gun violence. I don’t want the people walking down the street next to me to possibly be carrying a gun on them. That is truly terrifying to me. Third is that politics are so extreme and so prevalent. Lastly the fact that women’s rights are being taken away. I absolutely cannot support a country with very little benefits and aid for those who cannot afford to have a child, that then makes them have a child. That’s the briefest way I can explain my feelings, I could go on and on, but I’ll leave it at that. \n\nThe only benefit I see in moving to the us from Canada is for certain opportunities, and those come in big cities, so there’s absolutely no point in moving to then live in a small city. \n\nI appreciate that you’re being introspective as you go through the video. Unfortunately gun violence is a massive one for many Canadians, even when they travel to the us. Now that I’m in London, I hear a lot of the same sentiments being mirrored by the Brits. No one wants to lose their health and safety just to move to the us. Everything you buy is too expensive, and that's AFTER the tax rate which is nothing short of grand robbery. Health Care was already abysmal with waitlists over a year for certain procedures, but in the last 3 years it fell apart even further. Crime is on the rise everywhere and government just releases everyone regardless of public risk (read into Saskatchewan mass shooting from last year).\n\nI am set to make $20,000 more in salary, without even taking exchange rate into account, and that is going from Vancouver which has among the highest salary average in Canada to a small American country side town.

I'm shocked that you're shocked that Canadians consider American gun violence. From 2009-2018, USA had 288 school shootings. The next highest is Mexico with 8. Canada had 2.

Props Tyler you took that well. I lived in the states for over 10 years. CT, MA, NY, IN. Some of the nicest people I have ever met. Every place has faults if you look hard enough but you wont find more generous people than in America.\nCanada is my home and I love the culture and the people but I found Americans are just as nice and kind.\nIf you haven't lived there you can only judge by what you know. As for me I lived and traveled there since I was 20. In various States.\nIf you haven't been endeared to the Americans while living there you haven't been around the right people. If you are having a rough day there will always be friends who have your back.\nI'm moving back to the States next year after 10 years back in Canada.

Tyler, with complete respect you DON'T get why we generally have no interest in moving to the US. You constantly talk about 'you just have to find the right place to live'. True of anywhere, but here the choice would be about preferences and afordability, NOT to avoid gun violence or shunning because of political views.\nThere is no where in Canada I could move to where gun violence would be a big factor to consider (we have rough places, and gun violence, but STRICT gun laws). Let me give you some perspective. In 2019 the USA had 37,038 gun related deaths. (No other causes of death- JUST all gun death). In Canada, in 2019, our death by illegal means (which does include suicide, as it is illegal) was 5,874. (That is for ALL types of homicide, not just guns). And the government was shocked by the increase that year and tightened gun restrictions further.\nYou talk about having certain States more Red or Blue. We aren't bi- partisan, so our politics are a melting pot. You might have people you disagree with everywhere you go, but you will also always find an equal group who thinks similar (unless your an extremist). And even the people who think different will generally agree to dis- agree. There is next to nowhere in Canada where your political views would get you run out of town. \n\nYou are USED to thinking like an American. (Fair, your American; I think like a Canadian) Trust me, as a Canadian, there are aspects of the accepted American culture (your country's way of life) that is boarderline terrifying to people here.

I have two brothers living in the states. The one in Wisconsin is my big brother and he means the world to me. He does have his foibles about race and he tolerates me bringing him to task for some of the things he's said. He was brought up in Kentucky. He seems to be seeing the light now. I have spent time with him and my sister-in-law, and my nieces and nephews in Florida, Illinois, Kentucky and Indiana. We are close now despite being brought up worlds apart. My next oldest brother lives in West Virginia. I haven't seen him on over 30 years. He had a habit of moving without telling the rest of the family. I didn't know he had divorced and remarried. I worked for the Canadian Military as well as some of the American contingent where I worked. I had to renew information for my Security Clearance just after 9/11. He refused to give me any info because Rush Limbaugh was telling Americans the terrorists came to the U.S. from Canada (they actually were taking flight training in Florida). I suppose I could easily take up American citizenship since our mother had dual citizenship but I think I'll decline. I'm too much of a Canuck to change now. I don't think I could get used to politicians winning an election and immediately starting a new campaign. The process seems exhausting to always be bombarded with things politic. Here our electioneering is held to 6-8 weeks before the election and strict limits are placed on funding and contributions. Besides, I live in a small city of 58-60 thousand (North Bay, Ontario). In the close to 70 years that I've lived here, I can recall only 3 murders, so you'll under if I find mass shootings shocking and abhorrent and truthfully scary. I was once asked by a American colleague why did I not immigrated to the USA, the answer is: it was not even in the list of possible countries. In fact it is on my top list of places not to move to. \n\nYou have a good insurance through your job? That only means you have one more reason to fear losing it or stay on a particularly bad one if you don’t have anything lined up, if you have a chronic health condition, then you are straight out hostage to your employer. Even if you do have good insurance your bills may one day go beyond the maximum and you still risk bankruptcy. \n\nIf you do go bankrupt, in any civilized country you can’t go to jail for debt, in the USA you can, the country with the highest incarcerated population in the world in absolute numbers and relative too. To add salt to the injury it is a country that did not completely make slave work illegal, it is still legal if you are not a free citizen and your prison system exploit that.\n\nSo it is a country that you can become slave because you got sick.\n\nThen there are the guns… the fact you think you are exempt of school shootings says it all, if you live in a small city it would not affect you? Are you really saying mass shootings never occur in small cities?!
