Hi Canada; Today I’m Embarrassed to say; I’m an American Citizen. I for One, Do Not Agree with trump. And I know there are many that feel the Same. trump is Like a Very Bad Virus; We Are All going to get Very Sick from it. But We Will Get Over this Virus. And We Will Get Better. ; Again!

I, as an American, do not agree or want this. Our government is out of control!

Please don’t say “the United States” as if any of us non-brain dead Americans agree with this buffoonery.

I love my country but I absolutely don’t agree with this administration or this president. He is trying to destroy America just like Russia wants him and musk he won’t suffer we the people will suffer. He must like watching American people suffer. ?

I agree with him ?% BUT the biggest problem is that Trump doesn't care about non-rich Americans.

As an American, I am embarrassed on what our government is doing. I completely agree with Canada. \n\nOur government has proven that it doesn’t care about its citizens.

Please know that many Americans don’t agree with these tariffs placed on Canada either, that Canada has always been a good neighbor, always will be. These are sad and dangerous times for many US citizens with this present administration wreaking havoc on our beloved country.

I am from Europe and I hope our leaders will have the same courage and stand to the bullies. American people, I know at least half of you dont agree with what is happening and I do hope you will do your part as we dont want to be enemies but friends.

Trudeau resigned as prime minister because he was deeply unpopular in Canada. He proceeded to suspend parliament while President Trump threatened these Tariffs and then immediately left to Europe to posture with European leaders. He did absolutely nothing to strengthen the US/Canadian relationship while his party set about appointing (not electing) a new leader. Trudeau is an actor and a hypocrit. Do not believe anything he says. Now I don't agree with President Trump's tariffs on American allies like Canada. I don't understand the metrics he's using to justify them. The reality is: the US has reached a record high trade deficit with Canada. This deficit has grown steadily since 1976 (today it is just shy of $100 billion - meaning the US purchases $100 billion more worth of goods from Canada than Canada does from the US). The US imposing tariffs on Canada is a tactic to incentivize US companies who import goods from Canada to move manufacturing/production sourcing back to American soil. This promotes investment and expansion into the US economy. It will also incentivize Canada to commit to investing in the US economy. This would be a negotiation move by Trudeau: we (Canada) will commit to purchasing $25 billion (for example) dollars more of goods from the US if you agree to reduce the tariffs you've imposed on us to blank (maybe 5%). This is likely the end goal Trump is aiming for in the long run.

Trump just agreed to put 30% Tarrif on Turkey, and said it will not effect the American people as they prefer chicken anyway.

Both Mexico and Canada have fallen into Trumps trap, if you do not see it, let me explain. Trump has been pushing for more manufacturing at home, for more oil drilling and for more rare minerals mining. He can impose those tariffs and either Canada and Mexico agree, or the do exactly what they just did, think they can win a economic war with the United States. See, Trump gets what he wants either way, they don't cooperate, Trump gives huge tax incentives to companies to start producing here in the U.S. which will in turn reduce the price of everything for Americans, see, if you produce it here instead of overseas, Canada or Mexico, we can pish for a huge increase in overall production reducing the costs to consumers, since the products no longer have to be imported. Like i said, sometimes i don't think the left has any brains left.

I don't like Trump but I agree with him on this topic. Why should America take on thousands of illegal immigrants? American people are doing it rough. Adding more people to the system is unsustainable.

On every corner is a homeless Citizen or a Veteran sleeping on the sidewalk unable to get any sort of assistance, housing is scarce and rent is high, while many working Americans can barely afford to put food on the table, keep the lights on and pay rent?? \nThis is NOT ok. There is no room in the military for this BS. I served 10 years and this BS is nothing more than a huge distraction. You have people who were going in just to get the operations. They spend 4 years in the military changing gender on tax payers dime. Out of the whole 4 years they may be deployable for about 6 months and that ain't all at the same time. When I was in this stuff was not an issue! I am totally agree USA border need to secure to stop illegal immigrants and I support America first agenda but I don't understand how tarrif gonna help American economy.Just Imagine when we put tarrif on trade that means US importer going to pay that or find alternative in short period of time this is going to increase inflation in USA.Once prices up it's very hard to bring it down we already seen in pandemic.We gone through pandemic inflation increase and then Ukraine war increase gas prices and inflation went up and now trade war with biggest trade partners this is going to be another economic damage and this is big one.

Americans want legal ways to citizenship to be improved but we cannot accept mass, unregulated immigration. It is not sustainable. Both parties can agree on that but we can’t agree on how to fix it. I waited 7 years to bring my wife over here. We have a son and he is an Americsn citizen. My wife sees the degradation of our cities with so many immigrants coming over here and we try to avoid JFK and LAX like the plague. They will end up draining the limited resources that should be for the future child of Americans. My wife doesn't understand why America doesn't take care of it's own.. I agree with her 100 percent.
