A high GDP does not necessarily mean the average citizen enjoys financial security. Many people seek better opportunities abroad, sometimes through illegal means, which further justifies the need for stringent immigration policies.\nAnother issue that affects how Indians are perceived abroad is the behavior of some tourists. While not all are at fault, a growing number of incidents involving disrespectful behavior, disregard for local laws, and unruly conduct have led to Indian tourists gaining a negative reputation in some countries, including Nepal. This has made them among the least desired tourists in certain regions.\nUltimately, visas are not just about how much money a country has. Factors like overstays, illegal migration risks, and tourist behavior all play a role in shaping immigration policies. Respect and reputation are earned, not entitled. If you want to be welcomed and respected abroad, it’s essential to create a positive impression through responsible actions and cultural sensitivity.

They still need to pack your bags and get out

When I was a kid, if you felt threatened on your land (in Texas) you’d get shot no questions asked. My whole life I knew in the south if you screw around you’re gonna find out. I still believe that to this very day, maybe that’s all they need. If someone’s discharged multiple rounds at you, it’s a sign that you should turn the heck back. With that being said, if you’re not here legally - get the heck out. We’re completely full and there’s good people waiting in line to go through the legal process and they have a right to be more upset than all of us normal Americans.

Stop blaming other countries… we need to find our own mistakes… then we have at least little hope to change our mindset….we have habit of blaming others for our own mistakes..if you are not fitting in the rule- regulations of visa process of- course it will get rejected… most people have fake paper work for visas. \n\nSimple example… if someone enter illegally in our country we will call them terrorist … some countries put them in jail according to illegal act… I appreciate that they are sending them back to their own country… actually we should thank them for saving these people future.\n\nMaharashtra took a step earlier when they send UP citizens out of Maharashtra… in their own country they cannot go to other state.. how you think other countries should let them enter illegally n not take any action… I think we should think before saying anything.\n\nIllegally enter people don’t pay tax… indirectly they put so much pressure on health n other systems…we the tax payer bear that cost.. is that fare ? \n\nThey don’t follow rules of country… they behave similar how they behave in India … they don’t follow health- hygiene , equality rules.\n\nOur country more diverse but no equality… still people get priority based on reach- poor or on caste basis.\n\nIn other country any Indian do something exceptional then we say they are Indian… but no one think that they got that opportunity to prove themself because they were in other country… in our country people doesn’t get opportunity based on their calibre… \n\nWe have habit that we go abroad… earn money… get ideas of business n going back to India we say that’s our own idea… no appreciation at all… so many new businesses has got ideas from other developed countries but no courtesy to appreciate others or thank them.\n\nEven our news channels… everything is happening first time in the world… even it happens so many year earlier in other countries….some people they really don’t know n they believe that…. It’s just playing with people emotions… not providing real information… we all are human beings… we need to appreciate each other… \n\nThese countries have some rules n regulations for human beings to develop equality n equal opportunities. Most of the NRI appreciate that as we haven’t got that in our own country.

I'm all for legal immigration but I don't think the US can handle any more people at the moment. I don't know about anyone else, but it's been brutal for me personally to find a job for a couple of months just to get by until my other job is good to go for the season. I've never had to claim unemployment (I always found another job within a week or two), and I've been suffering for the past 6 months. I'm more than qualified for some of the applications I have filled out, but yet I feel like just because I'm a white woman, I get skipped over. I've applied to around 50-70 jobs and only had 2 interviews. Thankfully, I still live at home, but if i didn't, I'd be wayyy more screwed. I believe America needs to take care of it's legal citizens first, then we can worry about others.

Many students leaving Canada came without proper research, seeking only white-collar jobs but ending up at Tim Hortons. Nursing, constrution jobs, rulal jobs, has no issues here, and there’s no need to go back. Still, many Indian parents only want to say their child is an engineer or doctor, not a nurse or construction worker—despite these jobs being well-paid and in demand. Canada is more than just Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary—there are entire provinces most international students don’t even know exist. Move there early, not at the last minute! Change your mindset, be flexible, and you will succeed!

I don't get why the tears? I literally cannot go anywhere without a visa. A have professional qualifications in both commercial diving and paramedic, and still need to go through vigerous interviews when applying for USA holiday visa. Yet they crying (with no visa, no skillset on paper to offer, no money, no home to go back to) it needs to make sense?

Legal immigration could help the USA......Bring back some of jobs most people who live in the USA don't want to do.... increase our tax base. Lower our food prices.... Help build more houses. Factories jobs will not pay a lot for manual labor again, those days are over ... but we will still need engineers.... computer IT people.ect..If young people don't get an education or get into a trade you will be out of luck.

This is a much easier fix than what’s being portrayed. We need to make the ability to become a temporary citizen easier than it is. Background checks, usable skills, and political or criminal affiliation. If it’s not possible to access, so is your entry. I support my president and my nation completely and yet I still understand that the deplorable conditions of these broken nations is something I too would want to escape from. By making it so impossible to legally enter, we’re funding the criminals who will do so illegally. \n And can we talk openly about the real issue as well? It’s time for the U.S to clean house too. As a Brit I know many decent integrated Indians here. But none of them are recent arrivals. Older immigrants were respectful and wanted to be British and adopt British ways. But newer immigrants act as if we owe them something while acting in disrespectful dirty disgusting ways. For example in India I have to use Indian toilets as Indians do. I don’t pretend I don’t understand how to use them, I don’t need instructions on the door and I don’t break the toilet by standing on it, shytting up the walls and all over the floor and leave it there like that’s normal. I’ve worked in offices where this was routine when Indian contractors were brought in. Integrated Indian men seem to take great pride in dressing smartly and smelling good. But it’s really common for Indians to smell REALLY BAD. Poor personal hygiene plus excessive amounts of Indian food (you’re abroad ffs try some different food!) creates a truly vile odour. Some Indian men also think it acceptable to stare at and harass British girls (although to be fair they do not have as bad a reputation as their neighbours) they are also rude and racist to white people especially women. Some Indians in 2025 still seem to think they’re living under the Raj and Britain is ‘oppressing’ them. They’re not and we’re not. The empire brought benefits to India and left peacefully over 70 YEARS ago. We don’t owe you ANYTHING. This victim mentality means India will NEVER be a proper first world country. You can flood the world with sheer numbers but you will never be respected or improve the world in any way, you will only ever leech off the invention of others. I do not mean to disrespect the many decent Indian people I’m just telling the truth. As a culture your presence outside of India is negative because of the way so many Indians act, trying to create India wherever they go. Indians need to learn to adapt and assimilate to culture and norms of the country they travel to. Even if just a tourist visa or for business, it still maters.

South Africans have had to comply with these requirements for years. Letter of invitation for your stay. \nProof of residence in host country.\nProof of financial means to support yourself whilst there.\nQuality medical insurance in case of emergency. \nReturn flight ticket. \nMedical clearance for TB, HIV, STD's etc etc\nProof of employment in your home country.\nProof that you will return home. \nSubmit all that, and probably a few things I've forgotten. \nBTW, my hubby is a UK citizen, and we've been married for years, and I would still need to apply and comply!\nNo country owes anyone right of access, and if it threatens them in any way, they have the right to decline the application!

the root cause is illegal immigration and the root cause of illegal immigration is inflation, either people needs to be paid more on par with western countries or the cost of living must reduce to the point, people think working in India is far better to make money. \n5th economy you say but sadly it doesnt translate to the 90% people of this country, At this point even if India is world number economy still 90% of the will struggle to meet their ends. I live in Canada. A citizen now, love this country but India is and will always be a home. Canada is facing hard times currently, which is being faced by every country now and then but even the cause root of all these problems Canada is facing right now is coming from somehow from India. The most disruptive and disturbing people are here from India only with no civic sense. They come here and do not value the Canadian culture at all. They do all sort of illegal activities and try to do jugaad in everything, from which we escaped from India. Even on political grounds, the man who somehow messed up everything was under the influence and pressure of the man having Indian roots. I love India without a doubt but we can’t deny the real facts why Indians are being hated everywhere. People in my community here ( whites, First Nations, old Indians) love me and my family because they know how we respect the culture and values and laws of Canada. But there, where people don’t know us personally, we get judgemental eyes because of our colour and we know why, it’s not all of us, but still majority of us have destroyed the image of India and yes Indians deserve to be banned now. We need skills and knowledge and we should class apart from the stupid ones.

The majority of Canadians are sick and tired of the amounts of Indians coming to Canada committing crimes. As a Black Canadian womam born and raised, l never seen anything like this in my whole 60 years of life. We cannot find affordable housing, they come over here wanting to be Canadian citizens, at the same time abusing the resources meanwhile, they go across the border to exploit the system. Immigration needs to close it doors to certain countries. Some Indians people come over here, and think they are still in India. They used Black people as a scapegoat, they are racist towards Black people, they think they are white, they don't consider themselves as colored.

This was nine years ago, Canada's Indigenous Peoples still do not have access to clean water . The Indian's protestors will have to wait in the queue. Millions of Canadians, have been relocating for work since the 1970's . We didn't want to leave our families behind .We all needed to work to survive.. The aboriginals have to pay to drink bottled water .The government only allots a bare minimum of free water per person .This is a human rights tragedy.Although the protestors , tell us they do not care about the plight of other Canadian citizens.
