As an immigrant to Canada myself, I have to state the obvious, the problem isn't just about immigration as it is about the total lack of discernment. Unlike what this government seems to believe, not all cultures are the same. Canada can and should give preference to immigrants from other democratic countries. When you import the third world, you import its problems. It's commendable to try to save everybody, but your existing citizens have to come first. Canada can't save the third world by becoming a part of it...

He was totally sexist to all the young female workers and treated them horribly. He never spoke English on the floor when our staff started to hire more Indian workers. \nIt’s becoming insane.

Healthcare is worse even with so little population, Indian healthcare is far far better we forget to appreciate specially considering population in India. I honestly feel like if this kind of thing continues, North America is going to end up as a new India in terms of overpopulation. the more population there is the harder it will be to provide food. the harder it is to provide food, sustainability will sink and there will be a situation that is nearly uncontrollable, more and more people will be unhappy, The complexity in how prices are rising with inflation of food and housing is bad enough. Imagine this scenario too though, imagine a time where there are so many people that do need hospital assistance, and the waiting rooms are beyond filled. the lack of space, the lack of medical attention for people because there are too many people and not enough doctors in the first place anyway. We must not forget, the amount of jobs to person ratio in existence and the new difficulty factor to get an entry level job these days compared to some 20 years ago. Some jobs such as cashiers are being replaced by self serving stations, so that reduces jobs, even if it doesn't pay all that much, it is something to help if someone is living with family and might only be able to find that for starters until they find something better paying, at least it gives them work experience. The facts have to be looked at in what is happening in many aspects, but there are a hell of a lot of opinionated people that seem to be just fine with the situation, maybe because they themselves are in a sweet position, in a sweet spot and are supported big time to where some others are struggling medically and financially.

I know an incident when one of the ladies living in Barrie,Ontario was taken to the emergency department. There, they gave here Tylenol and she had to sit there with pain for 3 hours before she could get any help. \nWhat's the use of EMERGENCY DEPATMENT, then?\nAnything happens to anyone. I applied for Canadian visitor visa since 70 days ago as I have all the conditions that you must have it if you want to get visa without obstacles for rejection as an official documents with financial status including bank account with title deeds for properties and long history of travel including Schengen area and UK but unfortunately today I was disappointed when I received an email from Canadian immigration visa office that I wasn't got a visa but instead I rejected and the causes first they are not sure that I will return back to my country so what else should I provided to believe me and how do they know that those who already got visa they will return back ? Do they have a magician stick ? The second reason that I am single and I don't have strong family tie in my country , the question is : are you sure that one have a family when he gets visa they don't applied for family gathering later on ? I've been living in Canada for the last 10 years ( came here as an international student), and now applying for my permanent residency. Went through high school, post secondary, and now working a full-time job in my field of study. I would say it's long overdue for Canada to scale down on its immigration policies (yes, I've had this thought even when I was a student so anyone who thinks I switched teams can shut up). There are simply not enough houses to accommodate Canadian, let alone immigrants. A lot of them only work minimum wage jobs which neither help the country with shortages in other fields nor their careers in the long term, and overall it gives immigrants a bad rap in the eyes of Canadian citizen. The recent changes in immigration imo is a good first step in the right direction.\n\nEdit: Also I'd like to add that if you're leaving your own home country to join another for a better life, it's your responsibility to adapt and contribute to their society, not the other way around. If you can't do that, stay in your home country.

I came from France back in 2015 whith my familly when Harper was still prime minister at the time , really I'd say things have been really great , my family and I have worked hard to get to where we are today and have always wanted to give back to our community here but I am disgusted to see in 2024 what Trudeau has done to the country and to see that immigration is no longer as prestigious as it used to be. Unlike some people we have today, I had to wait 3 years with my family before receiving approval to move to Canada (after so many exams, appointments and waiting times). I did my middle school here until college and I'm currently still looking for work in correctional and when I see that people arrive here afterwards without being permanent residents, who are literally flooding spots at colleges/university and also jobs that are normally open for young canadians in their 15-16 (When I was in high school, my first job was at a McDonald's, and without exception, everyone there was Canadian. Irony is all these people who are getting interviewed are first and second generation immigrants as well. Nope..because half of the time in a year your land is covered with ice..so how do you survive without food in winter? basically you guys sell your things and services to other countries and survive on that..being the second largest consumer in the world..we indians are adding values to your GDP from years..and the facilities you are shouting after the most, the free food, the free shelter, the free dentist provided by your country is earned by your country from other countries..but do we survive on your products and services? No we can produce it in our own country like China does..all greatest brains are here in india as 20% of the world’s living in india..if you guys continue to behave like this with indians we will surely do that movement..can’t we produce our own food in our country? When these Indians moved here, they are not adapting themselves to Canadian culture, instead, they are forcing Canada to adapt their Indian culture. There are also a lot bad habits Indians have brought here to Canada with them. One day I was buying food in a local store, and these Indians who ran the store wanted to charge me extra (like 15-20% on top of labeled prices and taxes). I said no, they said I have to buy it because they can't put the food back. Then I demanded they honor the prices the items were labeled, and they said no again while trying to lie by stating the extra was part of tax. Then suddenly one of them snatched the money I was holding and trying to put in the register before I could react. Lucky I was faster and grabbed my money back. I left right after, but now when I think about it, I should've probably called the police there because that was literally attempted robbery. These Indians got no honesty in running businesses, and whenever a local business is taken over by them, it would be downhill for that business due to ethics and honesty issues. They also tend to only hire their fellow Indians, which is completely unfair to local Canadians. For example, I've worked with Filipinos before, they are decent people and they give everyone a fair chance during hiring regardless ethnicities. However Indians tend to only care for their own, and that is absolutely destroying Canadian societies. This is Canada, Canadians should be first, then immigrants, and lastly foreign workers/students.

Hi True North, I'm from India not in Canada ?. if they were promised to give PGWP after course completion and they received that and now they are asking for further extension then yes send them back. But if the PGWP was not even granted to them in the first place then it's a scam, the Canadian government has to give what was promised. They contributed to your economy in dollars (which is not easy if someone is coming from India) they deserve to earn in dollars as well. Also, some students took loans as well . However, I understand Canadian citizens' frustration too but it was the Canadian government's mistake when they invited immigrants just for the sake of money.

These people are protesting because they were first told that if they work 6 months they can be nominated for Provincial Nomination (PNP) for their Permanent residence (advertised by the government of PEI) and then overnight these rules were changed. People were misinformed by the PEI PNP officials that these rules are temporary. However, the case was otherwise. Hope this give you people a bit of insight. For those who are saying that these people should be deported. These people are the reason 90% of sales sector runs on this Island. People before used to wait 20 minutes for one coffee (coming from the people who’ve been living on the island since they are born). On top of that check the stats and check amount of money government is getting from these people in form of tuitions and taxes.

So Canada gives them a nice gift and a helping hand and now they demand the store become theirs. Send them back and let them try getting in legally with skills we need. Canadian sons and daughters can pour coffee as their first job instead. Enough is enough. Canada has to take care of Canadian citizens first. We're experiencing 'labour shrinkflation': increasing duties are downloaded onto workers and more is expected: more productivity, more availability (almost 24/7 in some jobs), and higher qualifications. Houses are being bought by investors and not owners. Foreign entities are money laundering. Meanwhile, the middle class is pretty much evaporating as he speaks. The NDP keep talking about this in a pretty real way, for what it's worth, but Jagmeet Singh is giving off an increasing vibe of just being another fat cat politician beneath his rhetoric these days. Also, third-party trolls and screeching conservatives try to bury him on social media whenever he speaks... a lot more than other leaders as well, oddly. I wonder why? Oh yeah, the Greens exist and there's Quebec and the conspiracy theory party.\n\n\nUltimately, what we're experiencing is the revenge of the feudal system. Instead of paying rents to your lord and doing labour on the land for him whenever commanded to, you pay rent to your landlord now and go to work even when you're sick or when work hours are over because you have no union protection or are working 'on contract'. Unless we want to live in the armpit of nowhere, 95% of us are going to be wage slaves living hand-to-mouth, not owning our own property, and working to please our corporate overlords if current trends continue unchecked. While some of Canada's problems are unique, I fear that most aren't. As for me, I'm headed to the 'armpit of nowhere' where I can at least have a ghost of a chance of affording life.

I also am a Canadian born and I don't recognize my country our culture has change, the immigrants are trying to take over our country and not give Canadian artists a chance to preform. Solo's hundreds of billions of dollars that the government's going to take back and taxes from us all draw the cost of housing through the roof. Instead of at the time redirecting half of those two it was 500 billion take a half of that investment in putting it into infrastructure technology innovation for industries. Our education systems from kindergarten through to postsecondary education and spending it on the Canadians that were here. We've turned our post-secondary institutions in Canada into diploma Mills where you know your VA and your you know postgraduate degrees or you know they're worthless. However the government and the education system grew into a very profitable industry grinding out worthless degree after worthless degree for foreign students who thought when they got these degrees with 50% of Canadians have. People have to realize that post-secondary education is a big business so they're going to sell you a dream that's going to cost you a lot of money what I suggest is when YouTubers want to do something on Canada do some proper research let people know that we really do have quality post-secondary education system but you have to look at when you graduate those jobs going to be there to pay that large salary does White collar jobs are disappearing almost gone I purchase an app for my company with small company about 10 employees this inexpensive app alone has taken my office staff from 7: to 2: I have a 10 Red seal tradesman tradeswomen these 10 highly skilled trades people earn between 125 and 145,000 a year in gross salary and I need five more of these highly skilled people and I can't find them cuz everybody's running in to get a useless postgraduate degree. Traditional White collar you know middle management upper management jobs they've been gone for years everyone's think of themselves as an independent contractor. Also if you're a millennial or was a gen z person there's going to be a massive transfer of wealth over the next 20 to 30 years as baby boomers simply die off and then you guys are going to inherit their money I live in any one of the g7 economies I just got to find your niece with your qualifications and get in there and innovate because there's not one g7 country that significantly doing better than anyone else another interesting part of the world is East Africa I'm retiring there in 5 years I've already done my homework I've already got partners I've already started to train up people there in East Africa Canada and those parts of the world they have East Africa's great basic infrastructure so now that they've got their first level base of infrastructure a second economy is built off at the service that basic infrastructure that basic infrastructure allows for that second layer a bigger layer of investment you know and that's where the real money is for mid-level investors and you know highly educated Young westerners have got 10 years into their respective careers and these are also very beautiful countries you know so you can if you got family in Canada family in Europe India Asia you know you can start building networks collaborate on projects you know in these you know emerging economies you know mid-level economies but that's you know a good 20-year grind to get good at your career and build your confidence to go into these places and get these things done also you know it's a great life adventure but never expect just because you have an advanced degree that the door even come knocking down your door to employ you if you're going to wait for the opportunity to come to you you're going to be waiting forever you got to take your advanced degrees get out there and hustle and work hard man Canada's doing fine about four or five years it's you know it's going to take off next level and it's going to boom for 40 years and it's never going to get any cheaper in g7 countries Amy's emerging economies his pockets around the world they're starting to come up to in the window to get into these emerging economies with your advanced degrees it's closing if you don't make it if you don't start looking at it in the next 5 years your degrees are going to be gone useless and if you do decide to put your career in these emerging economies like Asia South America Central America Africa do it for the right reasons not just for money we don't want to make the same mistakes as like the industrial Revolution where a few people get rich and the people in that country you know don't get anything have respect for these countries employ their people and you have to get into these places before all the big corporations get set up there cuz they're they're going there Canada's a great place as a great time free medical system and I urge anybody that's feeling down or depressed in Canada you know to go get some therapy join some clubs talk to people don't get down and mostly don't you know don't give up on yourself you guys made it through you know Elite post-secondary education system and if you can if you can do that I mean you can you can do anything a lot of hard work ahead truly best of luck to all you guys
