I think we live in such a world that everybody wants to get accepted by others but they don't want to accept others. Coming from a Homosexual, I find that I get often targeted and picked on by muslims living in the west. I find it ironic when you complain about your kids might be getting targeted by others because of their personal beliefs. There is hardly any difference.

Despite healthcare system problems, the average life expectancy in Canada is one of the highest in the world. Despite the poor public transportation, Canadian society does not want to actively invest in it and give up cars. Despite the expensive education in Canada, only few immigrants will send their children to their old country to study at a university, while hundreds of thousands of students come to study in Canada every year with the desire to remain in the country by all means, and that despite the harsh climate, relatively high unemployment, not very efficient healthcare, enormously expensive housing and poor public transport. Isn’t it ironic?

Canada is cold and miserable most of the year as you need to stay indoors, Travelling to work when it’s dark in the morning and coming home when it’s dark, how can that be enjoyable. The ironic thing about the government calling for more housing to be built is the fact that they're the primary culprit for why its not getting built. I was speaking recently with a developer for a large development company in Vancouver area, and he made it very clear that their government instituted fees and restrictions and unreasonable requirements have made it almost impossible for them to pursue anything but the most surefire projects. The overhead costs are just way too high. And this of course translates into housing prices. So you want to look at why housing is so expensive, especially new housing? Take a look at your local, provincial and federal governments first.

US family here. We were a big downhill skiing family, and often spent our winter vacations in the Laurentians. The exchange rate was great back in the 1990s and early 2000s. So when the time came to start looking at colleges, our daughter already associated Canada with fun, and fell in love with the University of Toronto. She was accepted. But before Canada would issue her a student visa, we had to provide evidence that we could pay full tuition, room, and board out of pocket. For all four years! They wanted an iron guarantee that she would never become a ‘ward of the state’ or consume public assistance services. We had to jump through soooo many logistical hoops for her to attend, it was exhausting to facilitate. But she graduated with honors in four years. All that time, the city was beautiful, clean, and vibrant, though not inexpensive. The St. George main campus, Queen’s Park, Bloor, Yongue Street, more. Everyone we met was friendly and respectful. We very rarely saw homeless and never tent communities. And crime seemed almost nonexistent except for bicycle thefts. Our daughter made many international friends and forged great relationships she carries to this day. So many wonderful memories. So it’s heartbreaking to hear how downhill the city has become. And the US is no different. It’s all in the politics, and neither Trudeau’s nor Biden’s policies are helping.

I guess no one will want to settle in a Western society as there is a lot of stress _ loans, no job fairness, cost of living, drugs, the cost of energy bills, the cost of housing, poor transportation as one has to travel great distances each day to work, no quality family time _ and the way emigrants are not able to carry over their valuable experience or qualifications. This is a great message to all foreigners. Go back where you belong, live amongst your own beautiful people and enjoy your own culture in your own lands. It is ironic that these immigrants are complaining about the high cost of living, including high rent. Well, if they had not come in droves into Canada, the rental price would be half what it is now. If they had not come into the country and bought up every detached home, the prices of these detached homes would be one third what they are. Well, now they are leaving.
