I’m Canadian citizen we are sick and tired immigrants this stupid government pouring millions of immigrants in Canada ?? every year we don’t have enough houses our schools, healthcare Are running over capacity we can’t find job our country is full now 42,000,000 people enough

i graduated a couple of months ago and it's been difficult for me to find a job simply because there's so many applicants. can't even find retail jobs to tide me over in the meantime bc there's so many international students desperate for work. i feel sick. i did everything right and i'm just stuck in this rut.

I'm SO fed up with how these stories are framed.\n\nStep one: Say the students are the victim. Talk about all the good they do. How productive they are. How much money they bring. Say don't blame the students.\n\nNO ONE IS BLAMING THE STUDENTS!!!\n\nStep two: Make the reason we have to slow down study permits is because we can't provide for the students. We can't house them. \n\nWHY IS THAT OUR RESPONSIBILITY? Why do we have to provide for them? They aren't citizens. They aren't permanent residents. Them coming here is a PRIVELIGE. \n\n\nWhy can't the answer just be that we have to lower numbers because life is totally unaffordable for Canadians/PRs. As if that alone isn't a good enough reason. As if we should just accept lower standards of living because we have to take care of international students.\n\nSo sick of these narratives.

12 yrs in Canada and I felt my body aged so much... went to Mexico for vacation and I feel healthy eating good food and not frozen. I'm thinking of going back to my home country Philippines. The food, weather and lifestyle in Canada is making me sick. Not forget the crime rate too... :(

Don’t come to Canada. Housing is expensive, food is expensive, taxes are high and rising. If you do come to Canada bring your own tent so you have a place to live after you get tired of the homeless shelter. Don’t worry there are plenty of tent cities all over the country but do your research because some of them are dangerous. Don’t get sick because it’s hard to find a doctor and the emergency rooms are backed up for many hours to see a doctor. Violent crime is on the rise as well. I’m doing ok but will leave Canada when I retire.

Who has told them that there is abundance here. I’m almost 80 years old and I only received $240 a month in Social Security. I have asked for more money because I’m sickly and can’t work but they won’t increase it because they say, basically, you have to be like crawling on your hands and knees, or in a wheelchair. Many of my friends cannot get disability insurance. They have to wait almost 2 years and have to get a lawyer. I don’t wanna wait till I get that bath then what I’ll be in the street. people in our government, and on the far left are lying to them they might give them a little bit of money when they first arrive, \nBut it won’t last then they’re gonna be homeless like everybody else we see on the streets of Los Angeles in every town. I worked all my life here in California and that’s all I get is $240 a month.

I'm am leaving Canada after 6 years here, going to central Europe: Higher salaries, stronger currency, way more PTO, more sick days, lower taxes, also free health insurance but way shorter waiting times, less crime, the cities aren't filled with drug zombies and homeless encampments, etc. etc.

If you move away from your home country, it takes half the time of your actual age to understand, & get used to the country you move into. \n1) Ikea also offers assembly service for which you have to pay. \n2) home owner/landlord didn’t improve noise isolation issue of their floorings. It’s normal practice of most lazy landlords who only rents their basement for reducing their mortgage cost. Or probably didn’t even know that it is doable.\n3) Employment- I am glad to see you found a skilled workplace somewhat related to your career. If you had to go through odd jobs, you would have left Canada within a month. \n4) Hospitals- Indian Government hospitals works the same way. Priorities go to life threatening patients first. But as an ex-Indian, we love spending arms and legs of money. Our loved ones survive going in private hospitals without insurance. \n5) socializing & jokes- I think you should’ve moved to Brampton so you can be part of the ghettoized community we have created there. so what day by day their crime rates are going high, we can at least understand the joke we can laugh on there. And there is no home sickness feeling.\n6) Weed!! - India has legalized alcohol, tobacco consumption. It does not mean anyone can go buy this. Even to buy legal weed in Canada you have to show your ID. At least that process is followed properly here.\n7) Vegetarian- if you want to follow a diet like this, all you have to request the restaurant to swap the meat with either potato hashbrowns, or if they have soya bean patties. \n8) Struggle- struggle is part of life. There is no requirement of whining about it. What do you need to be concerned is that you are getting an opportunity to go ahead, if you can’t get that that’s an issue. \n\nAnyways , I’m glad you made a video regarding your point of view on leaving Canada. Maybe you are not ready to mentally grow yourself being around people with different community and cultures & co-exist.

So although other demographics are higher represented, they get more help. White males get no help. I'm so sick of being told to be more inclusive and equal while my demographic is ignored and demonized

It’s been 5 years for me here and I honestly can say I have achieved nothing in my life yet. It scares me when I think I can’t return whatever my parents had invested in me. The fact is you’ll never have a good paying job in Canada being an immigrant. When I say this trust me I mean it. Most you’ll get is a minimum wage job which can make you survive the life here. Taxes are high definitely and what I feel is you’re working to make someone else’s life easier. \n(P.S: people who’ve stayed in Canada will understand who I’m implying to)\nNo one wants to be your freind, scope of socializing is zero coz mostly it’s cold round the year so everyone hardly come out, especially in Northern provinces like Yukon, Saskatchewan, Manitoba.\nHealthcare is a joke. If you feel sick and not well and you wanna see a doctor be prepared to wait for hours and hours. I once had stomach infection and I had to wait 5 hours till someone could see me. I asked for painkiller at-least so I could bear the pain but they refused that as well. You might well see someone you love dearly and with whole heart die in-front of you and you could do nothing. (I’ve experienced it myself hence saying)\nYou’re a lone survivor who’ll always keep fighting. \nThe only person who can make money here is businesses and high paid jobs which are reserved to Canadians. That’s how Canada’s job market is. Canadians’ first and if there’s something left they’ll look at you. Mostly Canadians are nice but again some will systematically judge you and say nothing but you’ll see in their actions, the way they’ll talk in a twisted way etc.\nYes I’m not saying that Canada’s bad or it’s no good but trust me it will take forever to build a life here especially with the number of people moving here from round the world. \nIf you’re well off financially from back home Canada’s a paradise for you. Indeed it’s a beautiful country with lots of beauty and lots to explore but remember everything comes with a cost here. Everything comes with a cost. People need to stop believing in this fake illusion and come only if they got a purpose here. The only reason why they’ll let you in the country is for money and once you’re in you’ll have to keep spending, doesn’t matter if you’re broke or whatever you have to.\nOnce I earn I’ll happily give up my PR status and go back to India as i very well know what the situation is how it’s gonna be in future.\nSo just one piece of advise to every middle class person like me, guys please invest and spend your money wisely coz we know how hard it is to earn and it’s high time Canadians start appreciating what immigrants like us do for them by burning ourselves day and night and start realizing that their past generation once came from some other part of the world as well and settled here. Being white doesn’t make you a nice Canadian, you’re actions defines you more than your words. \n90% of this country is built by immigrants and that’s how it’s gonna develop in future, so if they keep treating us the same way good luck to them ?.\nAlso a plus note to anyone thinking that Asians are stealing your jobs, go get outside and have the balls to face them and take it away from them. Staying home and ranting and abusing us that we’re taking your opportunities and blah blah isn’t gonna work. We are so successful round the world because we are hardworking, honest and respectful to everyone. Even if we’re earning minimum and barely surviving here we always make sure we’re not burden on the government or anyone else and won’t keep crying.\n\nA big shoutout to all you guys who came here in the hope of a better future but are still struggling.\nKeep hustling and you’ll reach there, if not step down and go back and start your life again on your home soil. I prefer the states. \nI've lived in a couple as I've said before and honestly.. it is better down there. \nI live in literally the most expensive city and Provence In Canada. \nI'm born and raised here and sure Americans have there problems but overall it was better everywhere I've lived in the states.\nHere it's just hidden by a smile.. \nWe've been known as a better country and lots of us can't admit it's as bad as it is here. And how much we can't say anything to change it. \nIt seems that you have more logical rights there and people seem to understand that trying to be loud and free to do whatever means something more. \nRight to live means more then follow orders like here. \nWe're falling apart as a country and I'm sick to my stomach knowing that Canada is not what I grew up believing. \nI grew up and seen the world the way it is and we don't live in a dream world like we want you to believe we do. \nThe states are at least able to voice opinions and there are places you can live OK.

I'm canadian and have ulcerative colitis. During a flare up I was off work and joined a colitis group online with americans in it. I was stunned at how many were working double shifts at their job while in a full flare up of pain and constant bathroom issues to save up for a specialist appointment and a colonoscopy. The same thing I received for 100% free here. It broke my heart the suffering they talked about and lack of compassion for sick time through their jobs. I fight hard to protect our healthcare here as I know there are forces at work to privatize it though conservative politicians.

I moved to Toronto in 2021. I've wanted to live in the city and have finally bought my condo in the city of Toronto. I love the city, especially during the summer time. Toronto Summer is so much fun and a great place to be in Canada. I am sick of all the Toronto bashing the past couple months. Yes, there are a lot of problems and yes they're all really bad and need to get resolved. And in all honesty, Toronto is probably one of the better big cities to live in in Canada. Despite all the negativity, TTC violence hasn't really gone up on paper. A lot of aspects about Canada are still strong even among western countries. I've been to Vancouver and Montreal. And those are cities have a lot of problems and a lot of different problems than Toronto.\n\nThe reasons that she specified in her video are all valid and they all make sense. I just want to say that I'm sick of all the Canada bashing and all the Toronto bashing. Toronto is a great place. I'm going to be still living in this city as some years it's going to be down and it's going to come right back up again in another few years.

It's like US people have become, as you said, numb to the number of people killed by fire arms in the US, be it for mundane or revenge reasons. To me, it is very disquieting. More availability to fire arms means more mentally impulse driven/mentally sick people have the ability to get a gun, hence more mass (or individual) murder. It's kind of mathematical, no ?

My Canadian son and his girlfriend, both in their early 30's, have visited the USA many times. Each time they go, I worry constantly that something bad will happen to them (shot, injured or sick). My brother and his wife have a condo in Florida and I worried that during COVID they'd catch it and die because of DeSantis' batshit crazy policies, making Florida a cesspool of virus. Now he wants to turn it into Gilead. His wife clearly desires to become Serena from The Handmaid's Tale. Too bad because I used to love Florida. I'm also worried sick that if Trump is elected President again, he'll somehow cause such a catastrophe the like of which has never been seen before, and it will affect Canada too. Basically, as a neighbour of the US, I'm constantly worried all the time.

Well, as a Canadian, I guess i'll pitch in.\nWould I move to the US? The short answer is no. But I will explain more in detail.\n\nFirst, I do not see any advantages to the US compared to Canada. Americams often tout their country as the beacon of freedom and the land of opportunities, but I don't feel that Canada is so different there. We're actually higher on the world freedom index, and its not like our economy was in shambles and everyone dirt poor... We pay more taxes, fine, but we also get more services in return, and that last part has the advantage to remove a big layer of worry. Like, for healthcare, I don't have to worry if i'm covered by insurance or not, or if the insurance carrier will drop me on some technicality. I'm a citizen. All the basic needs are covered; no questions asked (and the healthcare quality is not half bad. We just prioritize urgent cases over non-urgent; so if you go to the hospital for something non-urgent, you will wait, and more urgent cases will pass before you. Annoying when it happens, but I understand and agree with that in the end)\n\nSecond, I do see a lot of disadvantages. All the points raised in the video are valid, from the private-sector healthcare system, the gun control laws (or lack thereof), the social policies and legislation in some states; they don't agree with me.\n\nI think it comes down to some specific social and cultural ideas that are prevalent or at least present in a substantial manner in the american society. Bear in mind that I am generalizing here, not every american believes these points, but many do. I'm talking about ego, nationalism/patriotism, secularism etc.\nI feel that the US often has a really overinflated vision of itself. Like, the idea that America is the best. At everything. Wich is factually not true, but this idea also poisons the debate on many issues, and tends to limit social introspection that could lead to real advances.\n\nI've also noticed that the american basic school system is strongly patriotic. Everyone in the US is taught a lot about the US themselves in school, but not much about the rest of the world. Not great for open mindedness and introspection when you have little comparison points.\n\nAndlets not delve into the religious aspect. I've seen a poll somewhere where 48% of americans were AGAINST the separation of church and state. For me thats not only insane, its dangerous. It fits the individualistic mentality where people can more easily start thinking that their way is THE way. It creates a very polarized society much more prone to high volatility.\n\nSo, yeah, no, I wouldn't live in the US. I'd much rather stay in Canada where i don't have to worry if I get sick or hurt, if some agressive drunk idiot in a bar is armed, or if some fundamentalists from some religious congregation is gonna be able to try to politically force their point of view.

I'm too Canadian. I would get eaten alive. The fact that I could be killed for innocently turning around after getting lost....I'll pass. I would have to unlearn my entire life and then re learn how to be on alert 24/7 and scared of everything. I enjoy not having to think about how to live, and just...live...I feel like it's a huge unnecessary headache on the daily. The added stress of what if's over there (get sick, break a bone, lose my job, take my kids to school, etc) is too much to enjoy life comfortably.
