Wow Alina, so many complaints about Canada that I don't know where to begin. Let me just say this. The grass is not always greener on the other lawn as it appears to be from afar. I do hope you can find your paradise but the wisdom of life (I'm 67) tells me that you'll likely be trading one set of problems of another equally annoying set. Good luck!

Okay so no 100 k wont' get you that life you dream of, you'll get by in BC, but you can't buy anything. You can rent, you need 200 k now in BC, Kelowna average house is 1.1 m, Vancouver 1 bedroom is 3000 +, nobody wants to live in a jail cell, but maybe some wierdo's do? I don't know. \n\nIf your working and making 100 k in Vancouver, your working likely many hours for that, meaning there is no pay off, no car, rent a small apartment, have little savings.\n\nNow here's the REAL catch. If you make what some think is rich in Canada say 300 k a year. That works out to 182,000 after taxes, pension etc. Now homes in Vancouver, well let's maybe look at small condo's, hmm lets say a 850 sq foot condo sets you back 900 k, monthly mortgage is 6000, that's 72,000 a year, insurance, no car okay can't afford it, maybe a small car, 1000 a month insurance, payments fuel etc, cable, internet phone, etc etc food, another 2000 for a family of 3, wife one child. Thats now 9000 a month, dental, eye glasses, clothes, sports, other, another 1000 a month, 10,000 a month = 120,000 a year to live in a small 2 bedroom condo in Vancouver. Oh and condo fees 500 per month, so 126,000 a year, no extras yet.\n\nmeaning if you make 300 k a year and lets add on JOB expense, usually with high income comes some expenses, lets call it 6000 a year, suits, whatever. Thats 132,000 minus the after tax income of 182 and your left with 50,000 per year for savings and xmas, travel etc.\n\nNow you make 300 k a year and you live in a small 2 bedroom apartment and maybe some day, 10 years down the road you can buy a home. \n\nAnd the max you can afford on 300 k a year is around 1 million after a 100 k deposit.\n\nNow if you make more than that, there is NO reason to live in Canada, in BC they take 48 % of my income and what do I get lol, zilch, bad health care haha fun,

I am 16 years old and I'm worried for my future. I think all of my friends know in the back of their heads how unaffordable Vancouver is and it terrifies me knowing how hard it'll be to just make it by as an adult. When I was younger, I wanted to move out of Canada because I wanted to explore the world. Now, I want to move out of Canada to afford to live. Regardless of where I go, Vancouver is the last place I want to be.

Canada's becoming far too expensive. I'm retired now and will be putting my house on the market in September. As soon as it's sold, I'll be off for where I can have access to a good health care system, something that's become more and more important for me as I age.

HOME. Whenever I traveled? You know it's a lot of work to GO? Lots of preparations. But coming home? Never any regrets. No, 'Oh, wish I could stay'. Maybe other places? But went to several nice places. Coming home!!\nComing into YVR, home soil. Born here. Will most likely die here.\nYes, I grew up not knowing or having fear. Blessed. I believe in the Lord, that He, not some criminals own Canada, as it looks. What a great country!!\nAnd somehow I'm not thinking Pierre Polievre has the answers. Not sure\nhow it will do, and I expect tough times, but I'll see what the Lord does.\nHope the best to you. 7:15

Thanks for sharing your decisions on your move I do wish you all the best moving forward, I've been following the channel for some time now. \n\nWhen you mention about Hasting Street at 3:20, I was just thinking... where did I hear that street? Now memory came back to me when I was in Vancouver for 3 days and enjoyed my time over Canada in 2015 for a concert, Canada was the first country I've visited outside of the United States I'll never for get it the people where amazing very polite there was a moment in my life that I wanted to move to Canada now thinking over my decision after some years later I'm glad I didn't. I can't believe how bad it has gotten I'm now sure its gotten worse now. Respect your decision I glad to see your doing it, I would love to experience life for us... we only live once it'll be amazing for anyone do what you are doing, I have been thinking of going over doing content about traveling because it is about the journey and if for some reason If I like then.... go for it! Can't wait for more to come up, Cheers to you!

Hi Alina ? I'm from a 3rd world country willing to relocate since few years and still trying and praying.\nI know Canada isn't the right place for everyone ? and if I want to advise anyone about Canada is that:\nIt'll very soon going to lose it's Passport ? value and this includes the USA, Australia, NZ, and some other Large Landmass countries (Smaller countries manage themselves better). \nYou should think about getting another citizenship that'll be your future Home ? \nI guess you like East Asia and Eastern Europe ?❓ But still love to see you relocating soon.\n\nI wish you the Best of Luck ? \nGod Bless You ?

It's all fine and well that you want to leave Canada but where will you go that's any better? After all it is your choice. The problems we see happening around the world are a global problem. There are at least 2 major wars going on. Inflation is rampant in most countries in the world and we ARE heading for a global economic depression that will dwarf anything that we've seen in the 1930's. Speaking for myself my roots are here in Canada which is not the Canada I grew up in anymore. Sadly. Used to be a really great place to live until Trudeau and his band of thieves ruined it. I may as well make my last stand here. If I was going to move where would I go. The EU? Absolutely not! They're tanking. America? No effing way! The American empire is collapsing. Along with the FED note. South America? Don't think so. Most S. American countries are iffy at best. Australia? No. They're nuts. New Zealand? No. They're struggling badly and people are leaving there in droves. Africa? No way in hell. So that doesn't leave very much. Antarctica? Little on the cold side. Few amenities. ;) May as well stay where I am and take my chances. Better the devil I know than the one I don't. If you're serious about moving out of Canada be sure to do your due diligence and research about your target country. Grass always looks greener on the other side but many times isn't once you get there. One place that I AM attracted to is the Azores. Beautiful place. Friendly people. Good climate. One drawback is that I don't speak Portuguese. And I would have to be independently wealthy. After a certain amount of time out of the country I would lose my Canadian pension. It's said that where we are is where we're supposed to be. I may as well take my chances, make the best of a crappy situation and stay here. There really is no better or worse place than Canada. The majority of the countries in the world are struggling with their own problems. I'm not willing to jump from the frying pan into the fire. One of the biggest reasons I want to stay in Canada is that if it does come to a nuclear shooting war it would be very unlikely that Canada would be attacked. So here I'll stay. For better or worse. The LIberals won't be in power forever and if people have the smallest amount of sense, so few will vote for them in the next election that the Liberals will lose party status. I fervently hope that happens. ;)

Been following your channel since the 'Dating Beyond Borders' Vid...8 years ago ... The story you tell is exactly the same for many of us here in the UK now. The country I grew up in has gone to complete ratshit in the past 20 years. I had the opportunity to become a Canadian citizen 10 years ago through marriage, but never went through with it. In hindsight I'm so glad I didn't move to Ontario now thanks to the way Canada is governed. \nI put money on you moving to Thailand ? as its quite easy for 'Digital Nomads'...... \nMe, I think I'll stay in the UK and go down with the ship. ?

So many Canadians in the same situation — perhaps use your Canadian passport ? so many better places for you to be… find a nice job across the border in the US — it’s so easy to get a TN work Visa, or work tax free in the UAE, or build a nice career in Singapore. I had the same problem with Australia — it’s my home, and my heart will always fondly call it home forever. Australia is a big country with small job market, generally ignorant (but nice) people and limited economic diversity. One gets proper civic amenities only in either Melbourne or Sydney e.g., top notch medical care, a wide variety of groceries etc. Taxation is very high and although some people will tell you “we are well taken care of…” that is not true nowadays. The Australian Government’s policies over the last 40 years destroyed manufacturing, the economy, working conditions and inflated the property market. A reasonable 2-bedroom apartment in a Sydney suburb could cost you Au$2000-3000 in rent or Au$500,000+ to buy — and that goes higher as you get closer to downtown Sydney. The problem is that incomes are not high enough in Australia and housing quality is less than average overall for these ridiculous prices. Food, tolls and petrol cost a lot, although Sydney and Melbourne’s fresh food markets give you better prices than you’ll find in most other cities. My wife and I had a combined income of over Au$300,000/year while we lived there. We finally left Australia and moved to the US because even with our relatively high income we could only have an average house for around Au$1.8 million, we couldn’t fill up the tub and have a proper bath because of water restrictions, our kids would get an average schooling and their only dream in life would be to one day own a house. We didn’t want to live like that, so we wrapped up and left for good. The US is much better for skilled people — I don’t mean plumbers, tilers, roofers or landscapers, although life is good for them too. I’m sure someone will reply to this comment about the gun violence in the US. All I can say is that in the US we have the option to defend ourselves whereas in Australia we are expected to quietly die if someone kicks us in the head, stabs us or shoots us. Quality of life is good here in the US for me and my family. Fly free, mate!

Try London England, you’ll find it’s 3-4 times more expensive than Toronto. Or try living in Congo or Palestine, it’s a lot safer than Canada. \n\nSeeing fellow Canadians complain like babies when we have it so good compared to other places makes me EMBARRASSED. Life in Canada isn’t that bad! The cost of food is the same as England £4.50 for strawberries ($8.00), £3.00 ($6) for milk, and £5.50 ($9) for cheese but gas £2.90/L ($4.10/Litr) way more costly in England. It seems like it’s mostly Canadians who ONLY know Canada and immigrants who expected life to be magically easy and handed to them… ? ?‍♂️ I had to learn to be grateful living outside of Canada, the whole world is facing inflation right now! Europe and North America. But Canada isn’t as bad as many places. But then again, I’m not a quitter. The best way to survive is getting a good education and a stable and high in demand career. Nurse, doctor, teacher, lawyer, dentist, psychiatrist, etc etc. Then you will find you might complain a bit less ?

Hi, I`m a newcomer, only 3 weeks in Canada, I know the bad things about this country. I`ll give It a chance!. Canada is not used to be, and the world is neither!
2024-08-14 0
I feel you. I have a somewhat similar upbringing. Immigrated to Canada, from Lebanon, when I was 7 (with my family), so 42 years and I consider myself to be Canadian. And I've always justified paying our high taxes as the price we have to pay for the great services we have. But more and more I'm feeling these services are falling apart and cost of living has skyrocketed. \n\nI'm not sure where I'll retire.
2024-08-14 0
I'm in LatAm and I can say that the difference in quality of life compared to Canada is getting smaller and smaller very fast. Not because it's getting better here. It's Canada getting worse. Anyway, life here is way cheaper, simpler and more fun. And pretty safe if you are not in big cities.\nGood luck, Alina. I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.
2024-08-13 0
Well I slept with 4 people in a double. West side of Toronto. I’m a baby boomer and I’m fine.\n2 in a king what the he’ll are you complaining about?

If you stole $100 fuel from the gas pump I'm sure they'll be knocking at your door ready to arrest you??? Canada
2024-08-13 0
That’s why I’m leaving Canada. I’m not raising my kids there, I don’t want to live there for the rest of my life, it’s more unsafe than it was when I grew up, it’s unaffordable. I want to buy a house one day and I’ll never be able to do that in Canada. So, I’m out.
2024-08-12 1
I guess I’ll be having to move to the US if I want any chance of getting housing or work. People who haven’t physically seen the stuff that’s happening here only know the bare minimum. Everything is too expensive, there’s no “Canadian culture” anymore, you can’t get a job, you can’t find a decently priced apartment, rooms for rent (private) are going for 1200$ a month in Toronto (and I’ve seen more expensive). I’m not excited to grow old in the country where I was born as it’s being run straight to the ground. It’s very sad.

GODS WORD-WE LIVE BY FAITH?️✝️\n\nTHE Vengeance of God is not understood\nby most believers, and therefore, it is\nnot seen in the Earth on their behalf OFTEN.\n\nWE don't understand what Vengeance\nmeans from the Divine or the\nBiblical standpoint. \n\nMost Christians are almost afraid to ask God for Vengeance because many of us feel that we\nourselves have not been good enough to\nreceive God's Vengeance on our behalf\nand that's why it has to be understood. \n\nIt is time NOW for God's\npeople to stand on God's word and Pray before the God of Vengeance. \nHe declares himself to be that way. \n\nGOD is jealous, and the LORD avenges;\nnow, when it says “ GOD is jealous! “ it is not\ntalking about emotional jealousy as\nrelates to the human personality.\n\nWhen it says, “ God is jealous! “ it means that HE is\npossessive of that which belongs to HIM\nand that which HE has a purpose for.\n\nSo GOD is very jealous if you will be over his\npeople. He says, “ In one place if you're\none of HIS people, HE who touches YOU is\nas he who touches the apple of MY eye. “\n\nThink about that: anybody who comes at\nyour eyes, you protect your eyes\nimmediately, it is an automatic reaction\nif something comes to your eyes, your\nvision, you are vehemently safeguarding it.\n\nGOD says, “ l AM that way about my people. \nYou come after them, I AM going to SWAT you! “\n\nYou get in the way of GOD’S saving\nAGENCY and you are in huge trouble.\n\nFor GOD to get into a fight, ONE of\nHIS anointing has to get in. \nHe doesn't get in the fight until HIS people\nget in. \n\nGOD will take Vengeance on HIS\nadversaries NOT mine, NOT yours, so NOT\njust people I don't like or people you\ndon't like; GOD’S adversaries are those\nwho are OPPOSING HIS PURPOSE in the\nEarth. \n\nThe LORD is slow to anger and great in power. \n\nPlease, hear the REVELATION of the word of GOD. \n\nGOD says, “ Just because it looks like l AM doing\nnothing doesn't mean I have nothing. Just because it looks like I AM\nnot up to anything doesn't mean I AM not\npacking. I am slow to anger.\n\nYOU oppose my plan; you come against my people; you pervert my purposes; I'm not reckless or impulsive; I AM slow to anger; I want everybody to be preserved, but don't get it twisted; I AM slow to anger but GREAT IN POWER. “\n\n“THE POWER YOU THINK YOU HAVE I WILL TAKE FROM YOU, “ says the LORD. \nPay attention, and I will not acquit the wicked.\n\nNOW, again, the wicked doesn't just mean\nSinners, the word Wicked comes from the\nword WICKER, which means Twisted; in other\nwords “ IF YOU are twisting and perverting\nMY plans and purposes there will be NO\nescape for you! \nTHE LORD has his way in the Whirlwind and the storm. “ \n\nLet me repeat it. \n\n“ The mountains Quake before HIM, the\nhills melt, and the Earth heaves at HIS\npresence. \n\nWhat is God saying? He says, “ Even the natural creation will respond to a creation that is out of\norder with MY plans and with MY WILL, the\nvery Earth will respond when SONS OF DARKNESS occupies it and not sons of Life! The creation will respond to their Twisted, FALLEN, AND DEMENTED MENTATLITY AND WISDOM. “\n \nA stronghold in the day of trouble in all\nthe midst of this, GOD says, \n“ Do forget this; I AM GOOD, and if you are\ntrusting in ME, I'll protect YOU and HE \nknows those who trust in HIM. “\n\nGod will move trouble out of the way if HIS \nPEOPLE will respond to HIM. \n\nDO YOU DARE to conspire against the purpose of GOD? Do you dare to conspire against the plan\nOF GOD that you think you can do\nanything to GOD’S plans and purposes and\nGet away with it. Not so? \n\nWritten by Grace, Grit & Love\nYouTube.

I'll admit I could be more educated on this but also why is running to America the solution. Watch our news. They use this for political gain. Year after year this happens and it's always that they changed a law somewhere. I don't know. I'm not trying to sound ignorant but unless they pretend to turn them a way but actually let everyone in, it just doesn't make sense to me to run through an American boarder. It sucks and obviously this is their better choice when they didn't have a choice maybe but still. If what we get to see and hear about what happens to them once they're here is true how much better is the choice to come here lately. I don't know but I couldn't imagine and I don't pretend to understand their hardship. I can only hope they find a place somewhere in this world. Boarders only exist on maps when it's life or death.

I arrived in 2012 originally from Australia. I’m now a citizen and I learned a trade here too. I’m on a decent wage and I can’t keep up and can’t imagine I’ll ever own my own home here. We’re not against immigration but it needs to be slowed dramatically by about 90% for a few years. I’m being forced back to Australia to seek financial help from my family to hopefully purchase a property back there. The Canadian dream is dead and there’s also to many Indians here.

Why don't the president of Mexico stop this??? I'll tell you why, or what Mexicans man told me. He said, Biden ask him to stop these people from coming to Mexico then coming here. He said he could, but would not until Americans agreed to give each Latin country in the world 2 million dollars every year or every year. He said if not he was going to let them flood America until they take it. He goes back and forth from Mexico to America. I don't know how true this, but this is what he told me. I'm so sick of looking at these people until I don't know what to do. God help us.

I’m an immigrant from Europe, who’s been in Toronto for a decade and all I can say is that if this is going to continue to happen, I’ll be the first out of the country in the next couple of years as it’s unsustainable to continue bringing more people from others countries and specially from non western countries as it seems difficult for some to adopt Canadian values. Canada is going down the hill at an unprecedented pace.

New Yorkers keep voting for Democrats. No Republican can win any office because those darn Republicans are meanies. I'M NO RACIST=I'll keep voting Democrat! (And just complain that NY is ruined until I'm forced to move out. But at least I'm no racist who never voted Republican. ?)

Quit thinking of the US as my country a decade ago. I'm Southern Appalachistani now. We're going to have the dumbest societal end ever cus it'd be too mean to be a serious nation. \n\nHopefully we'll balkanize before too much longer.

Canada has taken in 1.5 million migrants, a large portion of them are simply on their way to the US. Don’t worry, I’m sure they’ll vote Democrat ?

Sadly this video doesn't even touch on a lot of the issues in the country still.\n\n(Violent) Crime is absolutely out of control. When I'm out with my camera gear, I'll always carry something with me for protection now.\nParks have become little tent cities.\n\nMy dad's pension has recently been reduced, and this has happened with many seniors, all who payed into it for their entire life. It's already difficult making ends meet with a steady income, now imagine how it is for seniors on a fixed income. \n\nIn less than 5 years I went from spending no more than $150/week on groceries, to upwards of $300-400...and that includes cutting back on what I buy AND not to mention companies shrinking the size of packages. \n\nPP and the CPC might not fix things, but anyone who rewards the imbecile Liberal/NDP collation is in dire need of an MRI to see if they have a functioning brain.

These taxi drivers that are picking them up at the Northern border and bringing them to NYC, there is no immunity to these people. They’re actually an accessory to the fact. If they would station Ice agents outside this gas station and arrest these cab drivers, I’m sure it’ll change drastically.
2024-08-04 0
Dame shame this is why I’m not voting for KH she supports this foolishness and the are getting all benefits he’ll no get them out now

I'm a Canadian born in Canada. I think I'll cross into the U.S. on foot as a migrant so I can live in NYC like I used to dream about as a kid. Of course I won't forget to bring cab fare.

We are the most multicultural country. I really don’t like when people come here from other countries and try to change our country. Live your life, pray, worship where you want to worship, do whatever makes you happy but changing the way we live here will never work. You want Canada to be like what it’s like over in an Islamic country?? Absolutely not. You leave that country for a better life, Canada gives you that. I’m sorry you feel this way. I’m sorry you deal with so many horrible people treating you this way. You are amazing people and sympathize with you. Hope you’ll be happy wherever you choose to live. Safe travels❤

As a Macedonian/Greek Canadian, whose family moved here from Greece in 1968, I am now preparing to move back to Macedonia or Greece. I am also considering moving to Thailand, Vietnam, or South Korea. I'm 36 years old and I can no longer make a decent wage with my college diploma. So I have gone back to university, and I'm 2 years through my 5 year degree. Once I get my degree I'll decide where I'll live for the rest of my life, but it will not be Canada, that's 100% for sure. I plan on liquidating my condo and house to buy much more land and nicer property, with money left over, rather than just surviving in Canada and living on scraps. This was once a great country for immigrants and native citizens, it's now become some kind of cruel joke. The only thing I'm thankful for is my Canadian education, as Canadian education is highly valued around the world. Other than that, Canada can kiss my Greek ass.

The new students who came in May intake haven't got the jobs yet that too in an area where population is relatively smaller, jobs chances are better etc. They have been applying for whole more than 2 months straight almost every day..and still no luck. Homelessness, drug problem is actually a real problem here. Pollution, greenery, electricity, water etc. k mamle mein I would say it's pretty okay unlike India jahan boht mushkil ho jata he. But I thini yahan or bhi bura haal hone wala he. O would prefer India all day every day. Well.. I'm still waiting for my studies to be completed...jikska ghanta koi fayda hone wala he..but .. so many people like me are in this dilema of going back vs staying here even after wanting so badly to go back to India. Decision is yours.. you'll have to deal with whatever you chose and no one else. Be bold..take the right decision

I live in Montreal. The city is beautiful and has a great vibe. But the roads are really bad, housing is shitty, healthcare is the worst in Canada (imagine that!). I had a gynaecological issue where I was bleeding for over a month. You cannot go to a specialist by yourself without a referral. When I got the referral I could not get an appointment for the next 4 months. I had to immediately run to India to get treated. My friends have all had similar experiences. I’ve been living here for 6 yrs now and still don’t have a family doctor. I’m on the waitlist for the past 4 yrs. And family doc doesn’t mean your entire family gets one doc nah uh. My husband will get a different one and I’ll get a different one. Homelessness is rampant. Every month 100s of working people are going homeless. They are rushing to hospitals to take shelter from heat and rain. 60% of Canada is atheist and churches have been turned into bars, cabarets, libraries, homeless shelters etc. Most international students rely on food banks because you can’t afford groceries here. But Indians living in Canada only flaunt their branded clothes and accessories to fake their luxury life and hide that they do hard labor to make ends meet
2024-07-10 0
This isn’t Canada anymore. I’ll never have the life my parents had. I make good money and I’m poor. Can’t imagine how minimum wage people are surviving.
2024-07-03 1
I'm extremely glad you made this video. As someone living on the east coast, you'll get immediately branded as racist for speaking your mind on this topic. I live in a community out in the country, and our housing even out here is a huge issue, the cities aren't the only ones affected. We have the biggest difference in average wage to average cost of living out here and something big needs to change
2024-07-02 0
Western Canadian here. Moved away from the coast last year because of the ideological capture and literally watching the community dissolve and collapse in front of my eyes. Overwhelming drug abuse and a lack of policing or care for the general population. \n\nThe state of this country is sad. Yesterday was Canada Day, our July 4th. Virtually no flags or positive sentiment. What do we have to be proud of?\n\nI want to be clear here, I don’t blame the the immigrant populations for coming here, I blame the people that allowed them to come with ZERO plan for how to ensure they’re taken care of while not negatively impacting native Canadians.\n\nThe government created this problem, they can fix it but choose not to and instead turn us all against each other when we should be pointing the finger at the powers that be.\n\nBut I’m sure for this opinion they’ll show up at my place later for wrong think so it’s been swell everyone.\n\nGood luck out there in this absolute clown show. Until we get lobbying and money out of politics internationally we’re fucking doomed.

I'm a single person I don't know enough people to fit in a house so they can pay my mortgage like other nations like the Arabs and now they own every gas station and Variety Store, it's simple Trudeau sold us out and our own people are suffering, it's a disgrace. Vote the liberals out of office or it'll be too late

So when's *The Dark Side of 2 and 20* being released? I'm wondering if it'll be as slanted as this pretentious attempt at journalism.
