I AM an American, and this NEEDS to happen. A true test of American democracy is happening! My problem with the doom and gloom is people love to blame all our problem on the current PM and “wokeness”. Public Housing is a provincial issue, Healthcare is a provincial issue zoning is a municipal issue. However all of these issues are made worse by lack of public housing funding (looking at you Doug Ford) and nimbyism at the municipal level (looking at you Rob Ford and almost every mayor large Canadian cites have had). My parents hate JT now because property prices came down slightly but they loved him during Covid when prices went through the roof. When the liberals implemented the mortgage stress test they hated him and voted conservative in 2019 because Andrew Scheer went on the news and said he will get rid of it. When the liberals got rid of the stress test on first time homebuyers they loved the liberals again. They are property developers so they don’t mind paving over the Agricultural land reserve but god forbid a fourplex is built in our neighborhood. Don't join to use my money to get surgery. With that said if your all ready trans and have the full body of your opposite sex; and are okay with times you don't get drugs every day then I dont care. Also women can not keep up with men on the ground and if they can and pass all the tests that men do, without a handicap and if drugs are not available then they should be ok with that. If a trans women flys then more power to that person but they should have the complete body of a women. In sports there are no cis women trans in mens sports, there is a reason for that. Men are stronger than women even with drugs, and women are weaker then men even with drugs and that is why no men are complaining about women playing in their sports. I'm not saying it should necessarily be promoted glorified or forcefully inclusive, as the inclusion of any gender, race, etc would be, but if you're proven capable in your capacity, why shouldn't you serve? \n\nThe primary criticisms are mental health, medical requirements, and physical incapability. But mental health and physical incapability are tested in basic training and further training, if someone can't keep up with it, they would be rightfully ousted from being able to serve. This may be more evident with FTM transgenders than not since men are more physically capable. \n\nBut in the case of this pilot, a person who requires a lot of technical skill at the position, is it not fruitful to open up diversity to get the best talent for this job?

I’m a Canadian, been living in Vancouver for most of my life. My dad had a bad stomach flu few weeks ago. I had to call an ambulance to take him to the hospital. He was in the hospital for a week and was well taken care of by an excellent team of doctors, nurses, physical therapist, dietician….when he was well enough to come home. If a transgender man takes the physical fitness test...does that person get a waiver for not being strong enough to meet standards for men, or have they lowered the scores for everyone? Military has very close bunking situations. The issue of them needing constant meds. Those men who have had or get bottom surgery have lots of nonstop issues with infection and closing up and constant horrendous pain. This is just a situation the military should not have to adapt to. They don't adapt to a slew of other issues that they say COULD impede ability to serve.
