Because people are still sold to the Canadian dream they immigrate but they don't know how hard it is to live here. I am native here and french canadian, so I won't leave my birthplace unless for France (I have the nationality) because I feel home with other quebecers like me. We don't feel really Canadian, but Québécois! And our people are talkative and friendly. I love the people here in Qc. Even if it`s a poor country now, I feel a lot of countries are going throught the same situation of mass immigration and low income. I bet there are nicer places than Canada, but not with our culture. I also love the first nations here.

As an American we are very relieved, here in NYC about 500,000-750,000 people are here illegally (that we know about) and they take jobs, resources, and money from actual citizens. For example they cut our schools budget to fund hotel rooms for these people. Gave them debit cards, free phones, and a whole lot more. I hope Trump does it and removes all of them, for America's sake. I say this as a 25 year old former democrat. Mass migration is a detriment to any society. Not to mention the crime and resource problems that come with it.

All I want to know is, when there are no more immigrants to do the jobs we don’t wanna do, who’s gonna replace them? Regular Americans don’t want construction, field/ crops/ farming, sanitation jobs. I love Americans. Although that's a general statement and just like Canada, there are jerks there just like here, for the most part I get along great with them. There are pros and cons to living in Canada and the U.S., For the most part, I believe Canada is the superior country. We have a superior healthcare system, superior banking system, superior snacks, and superior safety. However, Trudeau is killing that. He's destroyed our country to the point that one more term, and it may well be expedient to move to the USA. He's destroying our economy, our values, our culture. We have the resources to top the USA in every way, but we've never had leadership to make that happen. The U.S. has a superior economy, retail, and military. Although some may argue that the USA has superior freedoms, I'm not sure I agree with that. I know I don't feel freer when I travel there. I will definitely travel to the U.S. again. I have lots of friends there who I love and would love to see. However, it will take more Trudeau for me to want to move there. Since it looks like he's on the way out, I better just stay put at least for now.

Vacations once or twice a year? I definitely need to know this Canada you're talking about. I live here for 14 years and I never had that privilege... and like millions of qualified immigrants, I spend a lot of money and effort and life to come to this place that was never home. On the top, you're right. There's all this poverty going on like you're describing, but there's so much more than that... and it's going to get really worst after Trump gets back, next January. If she would’ve visited Mexico and had a kid while visiting and didn’t have the money for a green card it would have been a completely different situation. For those just because you got your papers do you not think that there are people that came here as infants or kids to immigrant parents that came to work to provide for their kids it’s not that easy to get your green card it cost thousands of dollars. Many immigrants that I know and worked with including myself, I came here as a refugee. Immigrants are the hardest working people I know. Unfortunately a lot of the ones that came here as kids grew up in some neighborhoods that are not so great and mainly are kids that were born here that are in gangs or doing drugs or violent so don’t blame immigrants saying they bring all this with them it was already here … drugs gangs violence was already here. Gangs started in the White House with their red and blues. Then they say they are taking all the jobs.. the jobs have always been here but people that are citizens are too lazy to go get jobs or keep jobs ( not all citizens) but the ones that are complaining immigrants usually come from villages without any media or drugs or gangs ect. They simply come here for better opportunities or for jobs. They come to work not to freakin take your jobs… this country everyone is a damn immigrant this country was taken from the natives taken with violence by killing them , rapi!’ Them. The Democratic plan was to allow the illegals to vote in city county and state elections to build their base. Even though they can't vote in the presidential elections they have a lot of power at the city county and state level. How many times have you heard all elections are local. Democrats have been doing this for the last 20 years and for the very reason I said what I said. I know a lot of orchard owners that are going to be just as screwed as they were during Covid, when they didn’t have the labor to get the fruit picked!! The drive company Lyft has lots of illegal immigrants driving for them. From Mexico and Venezuela. They're driving GMC Traverse SUV's, and BMW's and don't speak a lick of English. I know this because I asked them.\nRight here in Houston Texas.

So this nice white lady behind me paid 10 cents for me even though i asked her not to, she still insisted. I had enough money to pay,but she paid for me. She was confusing to deal with.

Enough laborers are here. The employers just want immigrants to exploit. I know highly skilled people who are applying for jobs and don't get hired while immigrants have 2 jobs. The govt has been either duped or working on an agenda. A lot of the managers, are East Indians and only hire their own nationality. Check all the supermarkets, hardware stores, fastvfood places. A master carpenter can't get hired bc he wont accept 25$/hr for a job driving 2 hrs each way. So they hire the immigrant Latinos. Too many Mexicanos since 2017, no visa required....

As FRENCH, I think it is more an issue with policies set by both governments!!! You know you bring students IN and why don’t you build houses and encourage construction???? In France, many students (mainly Africa, and French departments like Guadeloupe, Tahiti or Martinique) come to study there (for free and we are proud of it!!!) BUT - unlike Canada - we do NOT have the same issues as Canada (our healthcare is NOT under pressure and our housing prices haven’t really increased that much as compared to Canada for example!!!) to me, the students are NOT to blame!!! It is the fault of the deciders (at different level) who have FAILED to set the right policies!!!! The schools are also to blame as some (not all) are so obsessed with making profits out of the higher international fees, which by way, subsidize Canadian students!!! So in Canada (not in France or Germany), the money that allows schools to function come from international students who BRING LOTS OF MONEY for the Canadian economy!!!! in France, it is different as the universities are FREE and are fully subsidized by the French government… but yes;) you have to speak French fluently to attend them!!! \nSo dear Canadians, do not blame foreign students thanks to whom your universities thrive and remain existant!!! Without them (namely the Indians too), the Canadian universities will struggle to find money and funding! Remember, the system in France is TOTALLY different!!!!\nAlso, reading from comments, I notice that many here have NEVER alert their own country!!! Who’ve had to come down to the US for employment opportunities as Canada has time not being able to provide the opportunity and sustenance for their population.\n\nI would have to say that perhaps maybe prior to the 2010’s Canada was doing very well and providing quality life for their population and their citizens and the residence\n\nWhat you find out personally is that is being mismanaged when it comes to immigration capital investment in industries And worst of all, not being able to ride housing in a place where exposure to the elements could be certain death for some people\n\nThere user based national health system seems to be freeing and not being able to provide the services that they once provided, which is also something that’s really troubling\n\nAnd now I hear that they have problems providing food at an affordable amount\n\nI wish you well and fighting a place that gives you better comfort and opportunities to grow and affordable lifestyle\n\nI can’t say in the United States you’re gonna find better you’ll find certain cost of living items a lot more affordable, but we do not have a safety net when it comes to healthcare

Im canadian. I know it's a stereotype but people are just so nice in Canada. People do say sorry a lot, thank you, please. Lots of people hold doors for you, strangers love to small talk and are very friendly. It's pretty common that if someone drops their wallet, someone will return it to the owner. This is why I love Canada so much.

A Ukrainian immigrant here. Absolutely in love with beautiful canadian nature, cute little houses, especially townhouses in toronto, just so wholesome. As for life, you gotta be some sort of specialist like a doctor, or a proper construction worker, or a truck driver to have a decent life that goes beyond just getting by and eking out an existence. On my own i can make enough money for food and rent, but thats about it, and im happy about it, really, i get to be alive thanks to canada, but i really hope i could move out of here as soon as it becomes safe, or just move to a cheaper country thats a decent distance away from russia. I ended up being unemployed and i do feel like im in quite a real danger on eventually becoming homeless if i dont manage to procure a job, and you know how the job market is now. As for health care, i simply dont have access to it, at least i dont have a family doctor and have been trying for a while to get one. I haven't tried walking ins yet since i prioritize food over health now but i might someday. I just hope that whatever sickness bugs me is minor, i cant do anything about it. My teeth hurt too, but i cant afford a dentist, and ive found one Clinique in toronto that helps immigrants fix their teeth for cheap, they can help you with three teeth in total, and i've used up one of it, and saving the rest for real emergencies. I cant eat anything except for real soft food, and i know im not gonna get any help i could afford any time soon.\nOnce i get a job i will be saving as much money as i can to leave Canada, i don't know where yet but i'm doing my research and hopefully will find a place, and if not well, sucks to suck. It's hard for everybody out there, i'm just one of the millions if not billions who go through that.\n\nAlso I don’t think ‘nobody wants to live in Canada’ is entirely accurate. It seems that the idea of canada, and the way its marketed, attracts a lot of new immigrants, and a lot of people would love a chance to live in Canada. It's simply not true. But after the fact , once they have , i could believe that some are not willing to stay and might regret the decision of moving in the first place.

They are so right, here it is not livable, the temperature is REALLY COLD, I know 2 immigrants who have become deaf, because their eardrums perforated in winter. worse, there are lots of woke everywhere, everywhere, it is a real epidemic.
