You're proud of your country. \n\nAs a Canadian, I always felt the difference in basic attitudes between our countries may stem from our history of gaining national independence.\n\nYou all fought tooth and nail and are still immensely proud of that accomplishment. \n\nWe negotiated over time. It stands to reason our society would develop into one more invested in peace and negotiation, and even a deeper sense of social responsibility to our fellow citizens' welfare.\n\nI know of many different reasons why I love your country, enjoy visiting, and am glad we are neighbours. But to live in the US would take a change in my deeply ingrained sense of identity that I'm not willing to give up. \n\nI think you'll find even the Americans who joke about moving to Canada woukd find it similarly difficult to change their feelings. \n\nThank you for your interesting and respectful content. If the come illegally it means the don't respect our Constitution and it takes millions of heroes to make sure our Constitution stand still...\nThose don't deserve to be American..

This is so true. If you are not one, you have no idea what people of color deal with every day. You have to always be at your best and put up a stellar performance for you to be respected in a predominantly white population. Societal/cultural stereotypes and long-standing generational erroneous beliefs do not help the situation. So sad!

As A Hispanic now Canadian citizen living here for 32 years what Canadians fear is a person of visible minority with more experience, education, multi language abilities which bring Their Racism Prejudicial Behavior in the open. I've experienced year of discrimination Racism and backstabbing by Canadian born (whites). What they also fear is people like me Law Abiding Citizens and Responsible Members of Society Standing Up for our rights and demand the same respect I give to them. Then because most are pushover who can't stand against their own corrupt government blame or accused me of being violent just for the simple fact that I am so sick and tired of their pathetic racist Prejudicial behaviors.

As a sikh we are taught to stand and fight for justise for everyone. He was smiling because he was making big deal about it, instead of respectfully trying to reason with him. That's what I am upset about.

As a kenyan living in the UK for the past 7 yrs ,i came into conclusion that theres something not right about nigerians living abroad, among all africans ive met here in England, its only nigerians that never loves their country compared to other africans, ive met south africans ,cameroonians ghanians ugandans malawians liberians and Gambians all of them are proud of their respective countries and they tend to go back whenever they get the opportunity, i inclusive i do go back to kenya like every december coz i just cant stand being in the UK the entire year without going back home for a couple of weeks ...when it comes to nigerians ive met over here theres something always off, they hate their country sooo much to an extent one told me nigeria is a country in ICU ,some even told me they can set foot in africa but not nigeria..so nigerians tell me wats soo bad about your country that you tend to run away from it, even in my home country kenya there are estates designated for nigerians..Besides i prefer being in UK than in north america coz of the distance i cant imagine being in US or canada coz of the flight hours ,they're sooo far away from my country i love it in the UK coz its closer to home and i dont need connecting flights in most cases when going to kenya.

Both countries are great and both respected. Problem still lies in its political leaders. Stand strong North America.

Corona has nothing to do with anyone's race or origin. We're all humans this is a time for us to stand together and be united always and face the situation head on. \n\nPeople who differentiate others by color or race need to know that we're all human. Though we may have different complexion or look different and talk different, at the end of the day we're all one big family. \n\nThose who deny and live a life differentiating everyone should not be encouraged and should instead be corrected and if that doesn't work then they need punishment or need to reach out to the nearest hospital for help. \n\nThe earth is our home and our fellow human beings are our family even if we aren't related. Please respect and love one another rather than hate.

Canadian government, can u make all filipinos go home and lets see how ur country stand without us in ur country because if u can't respect as filipino in ur country u should do all the in here i think there are too many filipinos in canada and if we leave this canada because of this issue because the president of the phillipines will heard about this ur country's economy is in grave danger plus phillipines will cut all the ties with canada and it will make ur economy crippled and i know canada doesn't want to get blame for the reason of phillipines braking ties with western civilization and join china and russia.

The Canadian people dont want immagrants living here. They are not welcome!!! Pei is full of immigrants. Its so sad. I feel like im living in a foreign country. Why cant the government see whats happening. The people living among them notice how awful immagrants truly are. They are rude and they are taking their religion and beliefs with them. Its scary. He is right hate is wrong, but the people also look into people who concerned about themselves. Maybe this guy might have forgotten about their ancestors past. \nNot every Muslim is bad, but Western world is too weak at present , they are unable and confused about refugees as they are standing between ethics and concerns of people of respective countries. \nAnywhere in democracy or any country in that matter , elected representatives are answerable to only their citizens. I can see westerners being freaked out by the women who cover their face. I myself was like wtf when I seen a women with covered face for the first time back in northern Virginia, and I am from Ethiopia - a country that has a big Muslim population, more than 30%. We live among Muslims peacefully, because we respect our differences, but the ones back home do not really cover their face so I was not used to it. Really we should do better than creating differences, there is no better race or religion, all humans are the same, we all practice the 7 deadly sins religiously. and all the people commenting saying they hate Muslim and what it stand for, what religion are you because the Bible teaches compassion, it does not say to hate what you don't understand.

Anyone who follows Islam is a week minded person that cant take care of them self. Be a real human. Stand up and make your own choices. Stop following a Child molesting/ Murderer Named Muhammad. And learn to respect others. If you follow Islam. You are week. And also  an Idiot. I am so glad that I can do what ever I want and not have to pray to an Imaginary God 20 times a day, lol Ive got way more important things to do in life then to dedicate my life to a piece of shit that was born in the year 570. Islam Is EVIL. And Muhammad is the Devil, And I hope to see this Cult, And all its followers wiped out someday.

When someone decides to hide themselves while out in public... they are effectively insulting the public. They are saying, 'I can see you but you can't see me... I am superior to you'. Awful. We should all be able to see each other out of respect for each other. Muslims complain about a lack of respect for their religion and culture but they don't respect other religions and cultures e.g. face covering. This is simply not compatible with the freedoms, liberties and openness that I grew up with and stand for.
