She’s ?correct, be it liberal or conservative, racial hate and discrimination against African or black people is something that is built into the western culture. I live here in California, a liberal state as it claimed, but the racial discrimination,terrorism, gang stalking, psychological warfare, harassment, bullying, discriminatory targeting, surveillance assaults ( 24hr ground and aerial tracking both inside my house and everywhere in public), and the high level smear campaigns I have suffered for over 7 years since 2016 till today in the hands of police and their domestic terrorist organizations that operate as security agencies is something unimaginable, alarming and quite destructive to have deal with in one’s life. I hope our people listen to her warning. if only they know what I have suffered with my children having everything ruined in my life for moving into a house in a neighborhood I shouldn’t have moved to as a black person and driving a car they believed I don’t deserve to drive as a black woman, as such they criminalized me, targeting and and terrorizing me ever since everywhere till today even after I have filed complaints several times with videos of the attacks the police and these domestic terrorist groups are carrying out on me to several agencies that deals with racial issues , discrimination, civil rights violations etc including the Governor’s office, FBI, DOJ, etc, and have gone to the police for them to do background checks on me to clear my name thinking they could be mistaking me for someone else and they have confirmed to me several times that I am innocent and clean, but they wouldn’t leave me alone. Instead they have continued in their illegal surveillance and terrorist attacks they are carrying out on me which makes me believe I’m being racially targeted and the ongoing attacks on me are malicious and racially motivated for no other reason than I’m black and African.

When Mexico is completely emptied out I might move down there. Prices and cost of living should be good. After watching this clip I'm thinking MONDAY ?

High taxes, high energy prices, low wages, too much government, crony capitalism, real estate being treated as a speculative investment, too much immigration and nowhere to house them, regulations that deter entrepreneurship, poor health care, refusal to invest in our resource industry, refusal to invest in core infrastructure, declining civil liberties. Lot of these problems have been festering for a while, but things have really gone off a cliff since Trudeau was first elected. Even if you get some wise and saintly philosopher king to replace his corrupt arse, these problems will take years, probably decades to fix. I'm in my late 30s, and basically if I want to get out of this rut, I think I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and figure out a way to move to the States. I'm getting real tired of grinding my butt working and having nothing to show for it.

After watching this video if you think that what is going on in Canada is not crazy, then take note of the fact that Trudeau government is also making it even harder for gas and oil companies, mineral extraction and even farmers to basically do their job. While Norway, Arab countries and even US are ramping oil and gas production, in Canada Trudeau is concerned more about increasing carbon tax and the rainbow flags. Honestly I'm very disappointed in this country, it's becoming worse and worse here. Prices are through the roof, housing is insanely expensive, even car prices are higher than in USA. Many people have to maintain 2 or even 3 jobs just to survive. And if you are a recent graduate or an immigrant professional, good luck finding a good job. You probably will end up in a minimum wage job that barely allows you to rent a room in someone's basement, pay for your most expensive in the world cell phone plan, expensive cars.... and wait 6 months to go see a medical specialist. If you're thinking of immigrating to Canada, better consider Europe, USA or developed countries in Asia. I was lucky because I bought property back in 2016. Now it appreciated so much that I'll probably sell and move to a different country. Hard times are ahead for Canadians, Canada is gonna become Cuba #2 very soon

I guess the grass is always greener on the other side. I live in El Salvador, but I've been thinking about moving somewhere in North America. The US is cool but, I don't want to run across all of the salvadorans who are already there LOL, I want something new. Also, I'd like to still live in, or at least not very far away, from the Americas. I'm too lazy to go to Europe, and have to learn the language there, sorry, I already speak Spanish and English well enough. Only Japan, or Brazil may change my mind, language wise (my Portuguese is enough so I could get by, and I'm also a Japanese music aficionado).\n\nOn the other hand, I love dressing very flamboyant, and, seeing how Canadians wear in the winter, with those huge sweaters and winter clothing, I wonder if it's the place for me ? (I know, that's a very ridiculous concern), also, I don't know if I'd get used to long winters. I've always said I don't like Salvadoran heat, but I'm not sure if I'm willing to trade that for Canadian winters.

People who think this is about Republicans vs Democrats don't have a clue and are just going with their biases. Obama deported more illegal immigrants than any other president (more than Trump I believe), Trump stiffened up the border, and Biden made measures to actually make it tougher for these Venezuelan immigrants to get into the US once the migrant herd was moving north. This is a result of Venezeula and their economic collapse. If it happened sooner, it would've happened during Trump's time. I'm sure once Biden is out and a republican is president (looks that way), they'll try it again. Even Mexico doesn't want them since they have their economic issues to deal with.

I've lived in both. Canada is a better place to raise your family for sure, and as a society I think it's a better place to live. It's cleaner, safer, and more diverse (and I'm talking real diversity like Aba mentioned, not segregation). There's some cool stuff about the States, don't get me wrong, but my girlfriend (who is American and has visited Canada with me) and I are strongly contemplating moving to Canada. The US has a better night life culture generally speaking and like Aba said there's more to do, but generally speaking I just want a peaceful and simple life.

I’ve watched the video and I’ve read many comments. My message it’s to immigrants, Canadians & everyone. Just be some patient to read for you to think reasonable after this. I’m sure you’ll start to be reasonable regarding Canada. I had a good life good job & a nice home in Ukraine. Due to the barbarian russian invasion my family & I fled the horrific situation in Kharkiv city. I was driving a mini bus of 4 families! Most are children. We’ve arrived to Europe. Crossing many countries (Poland, Czechia & Austria) we’ve arrived to the country leading the EU. In Poland & Czechia, we’re treat very good by the people. In Austria we got hardly a payed hotel where children could get a rest!!! We still didn’t understand why they don’t want to give us rooms despite we’re paying for our staying!!! In Germany, I believe that the government did its best. But the number of comers is huge! Of course many they got disappointed as happened with me! But I still understand and believe that really the government & people did theirs best. So fast I got a job! The social connection helped to introduce me to the company! But i was not hired, I still to express myself & my qualifications. The manager was understanding, so he accepted to communicate in English and to offer me the job in case if I am successful doing the job during the first week at the site. I had to change the machines menu into English. So the manager was very satisfied with my job and I got that job. The rent! You’ll get it only if you receive the blessing of each member of the county and a very strong social connections! The doctors! To make just a blood work for my son it took 45 days of waiting! To get the doctor appointment, you need that a German guy call and get you the appointment! Because when my wife called, the secretary said: we don’t speak English! But when my wife went for her visit she figured out they’re speaking English better than her!!! My son has an issue of hyperactivity, so they refused to accept him at school more than 3 hours a day! And he was excluded from the birthday parties of his colleagues aswell other events! Other Ukrainian children, they were just attending classes! Just a show! No body cares how help their integration! About, the taxes! The half of my income was going to the government! The money back?! Only 200 euros/ month for my kid. And nothing else. Nothing! To get a neurologist appointment for my son it was necessary to wait 3 months! Prices?! Everything expensive! Technology?! Not better than Canada at all. Bureaucracy, Canada is much less. Banking system, Canada much better. Where in Germany?! The best province in Germany “Munich”. Where people stoped long ago dreaming to purchase a home. Guys, Canada doesn’t through broken people as we were in camps! Where nothing is human there! Canada doesn’t enter you in cercle of hell bureaucracy just to get your kid into school! And if he needs a support he get it right away without any background that he’s not our!!! I got a good job in Canada; so fast. Without any social connections because simply I do not have any. I rent an apartment for my family, without to proof to the landlord that I’m the best guy in the world with a witnessed county about that!!! I want you to be sure, that I am not the lonely case. Just ask Ukrainians stied in Europe for a while before they move recently. Just ask them. I am not saying it’s a paradise or cons don’t exist. Just paradise doesn’t exist! And cons are everywhere. Just I want you to be fair about Canada. Please, be reasonable! The cons in Canada are not catastrophic, and it’s not difficult to fix them. It may take some time, but not difficult. Believe me it’s not about only Canada. The whole world is going a step back! I wish that my experience, helps to understand appropriately.

I’m Canadian. This society has become terrible. My wife is Croatian/Bosnian. We went for a nice escape over to there last year. I can’t stop thinking about moving there.

As someone from Belgium that now lives in Columbus OH because of marriage, you're spot on with everything. Safety? Limited. Sprawl? Terrible. Rent? Eh it's not that bad. I make a base salary of $82.5k and my wife makes $50k. Our 2br 1ba apartment's rent is about $1000. It's a nice place, but it has some flaws. Our next place will be around $1500. I've told my wife I don't like the sprawl and lack of public transport here and I want to move to a place where that is less of an issue: Chicago, NYC or Boston. However, the latter two have crazy high rent.\n\nI must add, the terribly unsupported public education system in Columbus is by far the worst reason. My wife is a teacher at a Columbus City School that's almost 100% black. White families put their kids through private schools. The rest of the kids have terrible home lives and are therefore incredibly ill-behaved and under-educated. So much so that the teachers just CANNOT keep up with Ohio's learning standards. By the time these kids graduate (and that's a big IF), they would have learned about 20% of what a regular 18-year old would have learned in most of the world. This is in part due to:\n1. Parents that do not involve themselves in what their children do, and therefore do not discipline appropriately.\n2. Terrible school admins that force teachers to lower their standards to have a high passing rate for the school (otherwise it gets shut down). Also, due to the No Child Left Behind Act, admins also force teachers to teach how to pass state tests (repetitive bullshit) instead of important learning materials and/or critical thinking skills.\n3. A lot of these students are pushed into the gang lifestyle and see no future in their education. They don't even try.\n4. Burned out teachers that grew tired of the negative ROI and start giving out poor and inadequate work packets. However, I don't like blaming teachers, especially because my wife is the hardest working person I know.\n\nIt's hard to see my wife come back every day, exhausted. It pains me both for her and her kids. America doesn't give a fuck about education. The big theory is that they're purposely not giving public schools attention so they can be phased out and private education becomes the norm. And if you can't afford it? That's great, we need factory workers.\n\n\nI might convince my wife to move to Europe eventually (luckily a European marriage visa isn't as stupidly hard to obtain as it was for me to get here). Having kids in America is not something I'd like to think about. For now, I'm taking advantage of this high salary to save as much as I can and focus on advancing in my career. Sadly, that's really the only thing America is good for...

I feel like Canada is a lite version of the U.S. \n\nI'm a lifelong U.S. citizen and been to Canada many times. Mostly in Ontario, Nova Scotia and Quebec. \n\nI totally agree Canada is and feels way safer. I've been to some areas of Toronto that are HOOD and I was taken aback. The 6ix is getting a little crazy, I don't know what's happening with the Lake Ontario air over there. Overall though, Toronto is so much safer, cleaner and much more pleasant to be in than in NYC or Chicago (from my experience and I choose those cities because they are usually compared to each other). Montreal has some sketchy areas but some of the sketchy areas of Montreal are comparable to a nice suburban area of the Bronx or Queens. The Zoe's in Montreal can be annoying but overall I never felt I had to be on alert. Again, Canada definitely is a lot safer (to me) and also way cleaner. \n\nAs for the cities, I think overall the urban areas of Canada are a little better with city planning but its not that much different. Other than Some areas of Canada you also need a car or if not, you're assed out. The provinces in Canada are HUGE and you can be driving all day in just one province. And like the U.S. the rail system across the nation isn't too great. Actually, I think the U.S. has a better bus (Greyhound/GhettoHound, Peter Pan, Mega Bus etc) and rail system (Amtrak) then Canada does. Not saying a whole lot but its still better I feel. \n\nWeather. If you're looking for warm weather year round, you will NOT find that in Canada. \n\nI think the U.S. provides more opportunity at the moment and overall, I think there's more to do and see and I believe it or not I think people in the U.S. generally are a little bit friendlier and more full of life. Of course, everything depends on what you're looking for but both are great countries but I find myself wanting to move up north to Canada nowadays but the gun laws are a deterrent for me.

Things to look out for. I don't think anything things that Canada is perfect. Far from it. But it is better than most. That why you and others wanted to move there in the first place. I'm Indian and I would want to move to a place that is better, not worse. Hence why I would like to have moved to Canada and not countries about as good as or worse than where I am.

There are $35 phone plans & you can use public transportation & skip car insurance and maintenance. US inflation is worse off than Canada\n\n4 - There are so many things to do in Canada, it’s just not in your forte. Outdoor activities in both winter & summer\n\n5 - Cry me a river!\n\n6 - SMH\n\n7 - Leaving Canada to go back to where you’re unsafe, unsteady power supply & almost non-existent healthcare?\n\n8 - It’s a huge trade-off, I left Canada 9 months ago to the West Coast of the US & couldn’t stop talking about escaping sub zero temperatures BUT putting everything on the table, Canada works out best for & I’m looking forward to moving back. \n\n9 - Which countries does Canadian passport allow you to live & work in?\n\n10 - This I agree, it’s a high regulated society & it could be a turn off.\n\n11 - False! I live in Toronto (born and raised) and I’m moving to Costa Rica in the new year. This video is interesting to me because these are all things I truly agree with but have never given any real thought to as negatives about Canada. I usually get quite defensive when people try to compare to the states and call us (Toronto in particular) less then American cities. I was born in canada (Montréal ) and never left this country. I thought about maybe moving to Nigeria or Brésil one day. But I’m way too comfortable living here. This country is awesome. \n\nI think that those 2 woman are just boring period. They probably stay at home and do nothing. \n\nTheir is so much to do in Montréal .\n\nYou got endless festivals during the summer, outdoor activities during the winter. You have to try new things, \n\nTry skiing during the winter. Do some yoga. Learn about other cultures, salsa, meringue class. \n\nWhen you have a regular 9 to 5 you will work hard and have little to enjoy specially if you have kids.\n\nPeople usually enjoy their selves doing activities with their kids. \n\nThese woman look like they stay at home doing absolutely nothing. In as much I understand what you’re saying, don’t you think it’s 100 times better compared to life in Nigeria. Your kids will have free education, healthcare is free as well. Paying for those in Nigeria is way worse than spending 40% of your yearly income. \nMost parents in Nigeria, spend their entire earnings on mostly schools fees and healthcare, I’m a mom of 4 plus 1 dependent and I know what we go through to pay school fees termly. We also pay taxes and the government extort citizens, yet we don’t enjoy any benefits from the government. We enjoy nothing , from healthcare, school fees, good roads, electricity, security, even school (shebi ASUU has been on strike for almost 8months now) infact nothing at all from the government.\n\nSo this reasons aren’t valid in my opinion, because Nigeria is currently a hell hole. If anyone feels this way about the country where he/ she is an immigrant, going home is always an option or moving to another country. It’s really that simple.?

I've thought about moving to Canada from the US, at least for warmer months of the year, but decided against it for some of the reasons you list and one you didn't list. The amount owed in taxes and cold, dreary Winters, while prices are still pretty high for necessities all makes me think I'm better off just staying where I am. Also I learned recently that you have this thing called Self ID, where any man can decide he's a woman and just fill out a form and pay a fee, then has access to all women's spaces, programs, etc. That sealed the deal. I like some liberal things about Canada, but the country is just too far into the extreme left for me. Good luck to all of you up there though. I hope the coming Winter is a mild one.

I'm a born Canadian. I enjoyed growing up there on the lake. It was peaceful and beautiful. \nI joined a church and traveled alot in the country. I do love Canada as my place of birth and memories. \nThrough the church I married an American have been here 26 yr. Now. It has become so expensive there and too controlling. All my family is there so I think of them but I can't afford to buy anything there. I'm now married to Ghanaian considering moving there. I love the food and culture.

Canada, country of homeless and trash. I'm so sorry for Canada. Most things about a good Canada are not true, Including clean cities - beaches, and forests. It's a big lie. The first time I arrived in Vancouver in 2018, I was shocked. As soon as I left the airport door, I saw tissue, disposable glasses, and other garbage left in the city. The further I went, the more I saw them. Before I moved to Canada, I lived in Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, Serbia, The United States, and for a short time in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Netherland, Germany, and England, but I have never seen the amount of garbage that people leave in different Canadian cities. Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec are no less than Vancouver. Canadian and Canada Governments don't care about this tragedy. I think everything that says about Canada as a clean and powerful culture is not true. You don't need to travel to Canada to see this. Just watch some videos about walking in downtown Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec. You will find the truth. Impossible for you to walk in a Canadian city and you don't see the dark side of that. Everywhere you will see garbage. You will never see this in Europe, Australia, the United States, Japan, and Korea. This amount of waste is not even seen in Malaysian, Indonesian, or Thailand cities. It is impossible for you to use public transport and not see a lot of garbage at stations or on the route. You will be surprised to find a lot of garbage even in the woods - by the rivers and on the beaches in Canada. I wish the Canadians woke up and had no enmity with their country.

I agree that it is boring, cold, expensive, high tax high services, I mean people didn’t work for a year and got paid plenty for nothing. Taxes are incremental based on income as they should be. Coming from a major Latin American city, you have no idea what it is to live under fear of assault or harm at any moment, having corrupt politicians, police, and people in general. You are privileged having been born here because it is much easier to make a living, with good laws, you should go to places where people drink on the streets and pee and shit everywhere. I’m sure there are better places in the world but you will never feel like at home, and each place will have it’s own difficulties. I don’t think we all need to live in the same place but don’t believe that you are able to move to any place in the world if you weren’t Canadian.

I'm from Quebec and moved to Alberta and I agree it could be a great province to live in, except if your job is in Montreal and you want to commute. The traffic of Montreal is horrible, even worse than Toronto's. The healthcare and education systems of Quebec are also inferior to Alberta, BC and Ontario because of the very heavy bureaucracy. Oh and heavy bureaucracy = Higher taxes than elsewhere in the country. But Quebec has a good quality of life in general because of its low cost of living in general and its strict controls on rent, car insurance and electricity prices, which prevent these from going up by too much. People tend to benefit from more government protections towards abusive businesses in Quebec than elsewhere in the country. Quebec also has cheaper beer, but wine and spirits are cheaper in Alberta. That province also doesn't have a lawsuit culture because of its no-fault rules in many aspects (For ex: You cannot be sued for causing a car accident or failing to clear snow from your driveway.) Alberta is more boring (At least, Edmonton. Calgary looks very cool.), but has better public services and better economic potential than Quebec. It's better in my opinion to raise a family in Alberta. And many people think you can move to Quebec without knowing French. That's false, except if you really wanna hate your time in Quebec. In terms of the climate, Quebec has a milder climate than Alberta but has more snow and their summers are very damp, while Alberta has more comfortable and dry summers. Owning an A/C is imperative in Quebec.

Many leave their own country, and come to Canada BECAUSE of their dislikes; extremism, culture, religion, laws, identity and in some cases backwards thinking; attempt to turn what we in society would consider as sexist, and discriminatory in some examples….\n\n…however when those same individuals finally achieve citizenship, or in some cases this starts (attempt to change Canadian law(s)) before obtaining citizenship, making moves to force the above, everything they despised, hated or disliked about their own country, into this new country ? Its like, the expectation is that we assimilate to them, not that they assimilate to their new chosen country??\n\nIt appears in some cases, going as far as attempting to rationalize why the the very thing they left their own country for, should now be a part of or have a place in Canadian society….where in any place in the World does this happen? Can you imagine, if I were a guest in someone else’s home, being invited over for dinner, but they had rules…like taking off your shoes when entering their home…or demanded they change their menu that they worked hard making for me to eat..or that I do not put my feet up in the coffee table or furniture…but I said, screw that, I don’t agree with their rules..I’m just going to do what I want! Useful information. I'm thinking about moving from the bahamas to Canada.

I like how y’all have created this video by not applying a negative undertone rather more of an informative approach to caution prospective movers of what potentially awaits them. All I would like to highlight is the fact that some people will experience all these points as negative aspects or maybe even one or two that might lead to the breaking point.\nIt all depends on where you come from and how life was in your “home” country.\nYou might come from a higher tax environment with non existent healthcare and education. From that perspective, 40% taxes might look better and the healthcare might be great or crap depending on what your health issues are. I personally haven’t had any struggles with most of these aspects - finding a great job was relatively easier, (key word - relatively) the healthcare system worked for me when I needed it to, I was mentally prepared for the high taxes, I culturally adapted to the point where people thought I was Canadian and didn’t realize I came in from a very different environment. I’m sure this cultural adaptation helped me with my job and made it easier to live here.\nAll in all, you can say I’ve had the “perfect” immigrant experience that most people would dream of. But what do i think really? Personally, I have come to realize that Canada at the moment does not fit into my personal goals and values and that is okay. Loneliness away from people you love can be tough. It just isn’t the same feeling making new friends and hanging out with coworkers who are much older than you are and in a different place in life. I’m very close to my family and friends who I’ve grown up with and are on the other side of the world. My parents are getting older and I want to spend as much time with them as possible. For that reason, I might consider being somewhere closer to them. I’d perhaps consider coming back here some day when I’ve got my own family and kids which I currently don’t have. To me, that’s a personal value high on the list. I guess my only takeaway from this video and advise to people looking at each of these points - take each one and compare it with your home country. If you think you’re better off in Canada, then move - it’s a great place! If not, think about it real hard and weigh out the pros and cons.

Moving from BC to Alberta in the pursuit of home ownership. I currently live on Vancouver Island, where the avg price of a single family detached home is about $700,000USD. Home ownership had become a real luxury for the millennial middle class, its simply not affordable, Vancouver is worst with an avg price now I think of 1mil USD.\n\nThe house market is going to implode in BC. Is there any scope for interior designer in canada!??? Like i have done my bachelor in i.d from LPU(India) and i have 5 years experience in my field. N now m thinking to move to canada for masters. Canada is what you make of it. You can arrive rich and end up poor and you can arrive poor and end up rich. In between that, you can have a great life that balances your needs. I’ve seen immigrants succeed simply because they see the opportunity in front of them . They worked hard in their own counties to stay just above the poverty line ,but when they apply that same effort here it pays off ten times greater. I feel that compared to a lot of immigrants, natural born Canadians come across as spoiled and a little lazy…we are. We haven’t had to struggle the same way someone from a poorer country might have. I’ve talked to people who’ve worked ten to twelve hours a day just to stay afloat. If you did that here you could make plenty of money to live and have some left over. As far as owning a house goes,yes it’s expensive . I feel that homeownership in any country is relatively expensive. Here is a tip; use that soaring home prices to your advantage. Houses are expensive but you can make a lot of money buying and selling. I recommend putting together a buyers group and share the house for a few years, then sell at a profit, buy a bigger house or two smaller houses.try to buy the worst house in the best neighbourhood and fix it up slowly . That house could double in value in five or six years in the Toronto market. This is nothing new of course ,the people from India and China seem to do this a lot here ,it drives up prices and profits. On the downside to this ,you are now part of the problem. As the housing prices are driven up the non wealthy can no longer afford to own a house . They are at the mercy of high rents with no rewards of ownership. They are caught in a cycle of hard work and (relative)poverty. This could also be you if you can’t keep up the house payments and are forced to rent.\nHow well you speak English is important but your native language is also useful here because Canada is half immigrants . As a Canadian that speaks only english (Irish descent)I have to say to all newcomers that I’m very impressed that you have learned a new language and that you may even speak more than two! Don’t be embarrassed about your abilities . I find that in my experience , Canadians do not look down on people just because they don’t know English. In fact ,I’ve known people that have lived here for decades and still know very little English. They are comfortable in their communities and they function just fine. Learn as much English as suits your needs and be proud of any gains you make.\nOutside of Toronto are other cities that you might consider when looking at southern Ontario.From my experience,most are generally the same, just not as big . There are large immigrant communities in London Ontario, Hamilton and just outside of Toronto where housing is just a little bit less expensive but the commute to work is probably longer. This is just my opinion but in the small towns there are less people of colour , (which is what people of no colour call everyone else . I wonder if I’m called a person of no colour in some other culture ? LoL ). That might make it harder for you to feel integrated ,if that’s what you want. I’m not saying that people from other cultures can’t make it in a small town , I’m just saying that it’s definitely not Toronto . Here, people of any nationality can feel like they have a place where they can belong . It seems that no matter where you are from ,there is a community already here that’s set up restaurants and stores and clothing shops and newcomer support systems. And if your from Portugal or China or India or Africa or the Middle East, there are large groups of your kin here that have established roots for generations and you probably know this already.\nToronto means meeting place and that becomes evident quickly. I was born here and it’s one of the things I love the most about my city. I’m not going to say that there isn’t systemic racism here ,the people of no colour still kind of keep the top position , but as we become a minority in a decade or so ,I hope that will shift to a broader spectrum. It’s certainly happening already. One good thing is that the police department tries to hire people of colour so that racialism may play a smaller role. We’re getting used to seeing our politicians more and more reflect their constituents.\nI have to talk about the weather. Because I’m from here I’m used to the extremes of minus thirty and plus thirty . Eventually you get used to it (somewhat). Dressing in the right clothes is important. Summer is easy , but winter is different. It’s trying to kill you. Spend the most that you can afford on winter cloths . If you can afford a quality parka you should get one. The hood can be drawn around the face and stay out of the wind.\nIf not ,think of layers with a outer layer that blocks the wind. We have things called long Johns that are basically full length thick cotton or nylon pants that go on under your pants and a pair of extra thick socks. Buy your boots to fit your thick socks. Try to get the best boots you can afford ,it’s something that you might spend a little extra for but never regret.\nAll in all we are a fairly organized and peaceful society. Most people are friendly and will give you a chance . We have a good social safety net here and you don’t have to be homeless or starving if you don’t want to. There are people and organizations set up to help ,that truly try to get people back on their feet. It’s a good investment that pays off in ways that matter for the quality of life in a big city. I’m not putting my American neighbours down when I say they do things differently. They have their ways ,we have ours. This is just something that we do because we’re trying to learn how to help those that society has discarded or can’t find their place. Sure we have one or two areas where the homeless have pitched tents and we have some resources for them if they want. Unfortunately The mayor recently forced a small camp to move from a very visible place to more scattered locations. There were social workers involved as well as protesters trying to protect them. I didn’t like that happening and I want to see even more resources dedicated to them ,but on the other hand ,we are trying to avoid something like what happens on the streets when it’s just ignored. When I see YouTube videos of the streets of Philadelphia I’m extremely saddened. I thank the lucky stars that I was born in Toronto Canada.\nFor all it’s pollution and expense and crowds ,I think it’s a great place to do almost anything your heart desires . For every ugly building there is a beautiful park ,for every honked horn there is a birds call , for every cold and dark day there is beautiful sunny one around the corner.

I'm currently planning to immigrate to Canada. As for me, the very reason why I want to move there is to have better life. There are some great points mentioned to this video but for some cases, most especially if you talk about other underpriviledge countries, Canada is much more better. I'm from the Philippines and I would say that our country is suffering from everything. High price of goods, salary for CAD375 minimum (for a month even you're bachelor degree holder), no health benefits (unless you are working in a private company that offers benefits), no educational benefits (I would consider scholarship but that wouldn't enough to survive in every semester that you'll take). Senior Citizens / PWD that only gets benefit from their 20% discount in every purchase they make for medicine and food and seniors sometimes didn't get their pensions... so on and so forth.\n\nI think, it all boils down from what country you came from and differences of the gov't system that they have. And all of us needs to work hard to get a better life. It will always depends on our decision on what lifestyle do you choose or how do you live your life or what life do you want to live.\n\nBut to conclude this, this is a great video. This a great heads up for those who wants to come to Canada.

I came to Canada when I was 9 years old with my father and sister so in some ways I was young so it was easy in a way for me, but as I got older it hit me being Spanish dominican ?? the culture different it's quite obvious, you're absolutely right people stick together in their own Community or culture, and is kind of hard to make friends, I know Spanish people here in Canada Toronto but they seem to stick to themselves and you were to think because I'm also Spanish that would have been easy for me to talk to them, but is not so sadly, without offending anyone Canada is not for anyone, you gotta be strong, Brave, quick, and smart. Credit matter alot here in Canada or you're nobody, having reference matters a lot or you cannot get anything done, the level of education matter alot here in Canada, and many more.. I can go on but there pros and cons like every country, but in all honesty I don't see myself living here forever I'm planning to move.

Compared to Argentina, Canada doesn't seem real yet it is lol. I'm doing my own research about where to move because almost every corner holds something special for me and I really don't know where to go. I still have time to think though

Guys please help me. My girlfriend and i have been dating for about 8 months and she lives in Thunder Bay. I plan to move there in September from Baltimore Maryland but I’m very nervous. Truly. Am i over thinking?
