Now, here’s my points: You are young and you have dreams and ambitions, which I see fine BUT be careful what you are wishing for, you may get it!!! It’s great to be in a country that cares about their citizens health and well-being!!! Also, these tax costs help to destroy the Poor-Family-Status!!! Meaning, nobody goes to starvation because government got your back. I think it’s a great place for working class family that want to live a normal live and not worries on how they will end up when they grow old. Come to USA and you will see how the medical field works, it is difficult!!! Your tax money goes into things you don’t even want to know sometimes. Don’t get me wrong, I love USA but it is not for everyone, same thing as Canada, not for everyone either. Canada is the northern section, it is cold!!! Not air pollution, beautiful!!!! I think you are USA material, come over, we need more Spartans soldiers, Uncle Sam welcome everyone with dreams and etc. Students loans will love you too in here. Nothing is perfect but remember, for a country to sustain it needs taxes from people to live well

I was born and raised in Canada and left 30 years ago. I went to Vancouver about 10 years ago to visit family and I also found it ugly. The big glass buildings looked so dirty and outdated. It felt like an old outdated logging town. Like most Canadians, I used to be proud of the medical system but now I've realized it doesn't cure people it just keeps the citizens sick. Everyone I know there is sick and they are all proud of how many operations they've had and how many pills they take. I remember paying 30% in taxes as a University student with a part-time job. It just wasn't fair. The last straw was when I saw how the Trudeau government responded during covid. They hijacking the news stations and brainwashed the citizens. And then, they froze bank accounts of those who dared to protest or even support protesters. I lost a lot of respect for people there who I thought were intelligent and It made me realize how that place turns people into drones. Now I'm ashamed to be Canadian. Most Canadians live in a bubble and think it's the best country in the world but that's because they don't know what it's like to live. Good for you for leaving. I wish you all the best.

Hate to pop your balloons, but Canadians are not as nice as you think. I've met plenty of nasty ones through the years and it is definitely not the Canada I remember from childhood (I'm in my 60s). You find plenty of Karens, feminazis and out and out unwelcome busybodies that are always sticking their nose in your business. Canucks are definitely not angels.

I think some guys here are looking the glass half-empty, look at it half-full. Learn the language, accept the culture, be positive, be humble, don't compare your country of origin, this is Canada, if you have time and resources go back to school and be grateful you got here in CA. Canada doesn't owe you anything, remember you moved here freely. Think positive and be positive. Of all the people in Canada who are convicted of shop lifting, what are the proportions of whites, latinos, blacks or aboriginals? Are shopkeepers justified in their suspicion? We hear a great deal about racism, but never any comparative statistics that prove or disprove it. What I am trying to say is: is there any reason why this prejudice exists in the first place?\nIn Edmonton a few years ago an aboriginal man died of a stroke while waiting for triage in a hospital emergency area. IF I remember correctly, police and hospital staff alike assumed he was drunk, not suffering a stroke. I think the chances of someone in a downtown lower east side area being drunk is much higher than having a stroke. So staff just assumed he was drunk. \nIf more people of all ethnic backgrounds behaved more like whites would that suspicion disappear? I wonder if there is a logical and reasonable explanation for why shop keepers feel they way they do.

A small step but really great . You would think we as human with our high intelligence could know how closely related we all are but for some strange reason we cannot understand. I remember working in Macy’s and one day I was talking to a co-worker and I was saying how science has proven at one point or another everyone came from Africa . She said maybe me but not her. I think what happens is people get grouped together from someone elses behaviour. I remember in Toronto in the 70's a guy from India or Pakistan planted a garden in a room of his apartment. The tenant below called the landlord to say there was a leak upstairs and his unit was being flooded. People judged all people of his ethnic background to this man's standard. You think that landlord wants to take another chance.

I don't know if the computer test is as accurate as it could be. I know for myself when I took it presenting the e key as bad and black and the i key as good and white then reversing it once you got in a rhythem really messed me up. There were many words that I had a brainfart and had to refer back to the labels to remember the keys. I think if it was presented in the reverse order it would probably change my results.

Islam is a cult, the Muslims are told to lie in their Qur'an. Read suras 5 verse 51 and 9 verse 29 to start , then tell mee if it is a religion of peace. The hijab is not in the Qur'an. The women in Islam are second class citizens, it takes 2 women to equal the statement of 1 man. If Islam ois so good then ask yourselves why are they leaving their countries to come to the west?\nGoing back to the standards of women, sura 4 verse 34 read it. Do you know the punishment for leaving Islam? It is death, that's why there are so many horror stories in other Islamic countries. \nAll I am saying folks is open your eyes. What is the saying, when in Rome do as the Romans do, this don't apply to the Muslims. The want to come and change the laws to suit them, islamaphobia is just the beginning. Do you think you could've gone to their countries and demand your rights? Anyone here remember how much it cost to separate children at the US/Mexican border? Was something ridiculous like $1k a day per person. Literally could put them in a 4-star hotel for that. Pretty good thinking of Trudeau's part to save money and embarrassment on the world stage

Regarding the girl who received less while wearing the veil than when wearing nothing/ a hijab: Don't get me wrong the things some poeple said to her were horrible, but i think its just natural that someone would be more willing to donate to someone whose face is clearly visible as they could be more sympathetic towards them based on their expressions and such. After all, would you donate to someone who was wearing a hockey mask or a balaclava? (I'm not implying that these are in any way the same, but remember that the Qaran does not state that they have to wear a full veil, just some food for thought). Some may argue that this intrudes on basic human facial expressions to one another.) Not only can people feel uneasy when they see someone in a burqa, but it can also be dangerous to the very person underneath it. The burqa isolates women from others and can hide evidence of abuse or assault. It advocates segregation of muslim women in public, which is blatant discrimination within itself, whichever way you look at it!!!

so pro women is wearing nothing?????? i am roman catholic and when i go to mass, i wear a veil. and remember it wasnt that long ago that women, no matter where, had to wear long dresses. and what do canadians think of nuns wearing their habits? should nuns ( and some here in italy, dress almost like muslims) change because of stupid, uneducated prejudice people?
