I was glad that not too long ago... Trump actually did say the truth to the American people: Canada imports 95% of it's goods from the USA... with us refusing to buy American, with all of us buying Canadian or International products instead... how will he be making America great again ?? By bankrupting the country ?? Does he thinks that 25% tariffs will make Canadians shake in their pants and all of a sudden want to be the 51st State ?? No, it's just like bringing us back to the days before NAFTA. We were able to live back then and we will be able to now as well.

I believe Trump has expressed interest in annexing Canada, possibly in collaboration with Putin. I think it’s a possibility worth considering given the geopolitical landscape. Canada’s valuable resources make it a desirable target. \nMoreover, I believe Canada’s indirect involvement in the conflict with Russia puts Canada in a vulnerable position.

I maybe an ignorant on politics , but what happens when USA , well not USA but the Trump administrations has caused so much damage to the country to the point where other maybe most of his allies start taking responses such as that of Canada , and escalate to the point where perhaps USA lose most of his allies at least important allies such as Canada, the support of the global geopolitics , I Maine that scenario for a moment wouldn't that give Trump an excuse to align even more openly with Putin? I support Trump and I support MAGA. However a president needs to keep his word and Trump appears to have broken his word here. He asked Canada to reign in illegal immigration to the US and Canada complied. He said do something about fetanyl and Canada did. Trump said the tariff's were because Canada was not acting on these but now they have and we imposed the tariff's anyway. We look like liars and cheats. \nEven with Mexico we threatened tariffs if they didn't help with crackdown on illegal immigration, fetanyl, and drug cartels. Mexico complied and is also helping us. And we still slapped tariffs on them. We lied to Mexico too. \nAnd now we want everyone to trust us to negotiate a peaceful end to the Ukraine war with Trump threatening more sanctions on China and the EU. What the heck should they trust us and believe us after what we just did. \nWhen it comes to defining your character your willingness to keep your word overrules absolutely everything else. Our president gave his word that if these countries took certain actions there would be no tariffs. They did and now he slapped them both in the face with sanctions anyway. He broke his word. This is a dishonorable action. I hope it does not escalate from there. \nIf it was about promoting or building domestic industries, I think the Canadians could have helped us with that but now.... good luck now that bridge has been burned.

Ya know, it’s honestly comical that some many people have these knee jerk responses to anything they deem “negative” STRICTLY for the fact that it came from Trump, and rather know TRULY ABSOLUTELY NOTHING behind the reason why these “negative” things are said or done in the first place… I ASSURE YOU 99% of the people complaining about this Canada tariff don’t know that it’s simply to (essentially) force Canada to agree to ramp up their border DEA enforcement/presence to help cut down on the illegal drug trade (primarily fentanyl) coming into America! Clearly Donald Trump does not understand the simple concept of Tariffs...when reporters ask him questions he deflects the questions., President Trump is not acting according to the oath he has taken as President. I am a conservative and I admit that Donald Trump's tariffs will have a negative impact on Americans. If you think businesses are going to pay for the increased cost of importing and are not going to scale back their labor forces are raise prices you don't have an understanding of business and finance. The whole purpose of going into business is to maximize profit therefore they are going to offset the costs by raising prices on goods for Americans and vice versa. This is a trade war. Thanks.

Satisfied in his victorious battle against the nuns - 9 of whom had been hospitalized for critical injuries including the 92 year old Mother Superior who suffered massive brain bleed, swelling and concussion due to the excessive force of the power hose and an 87 year old nun who lost permanent sight in one eye due to the pepper spray - Trump had the nerve to pose for a publicity shot in front of the church while holding a Bible - UPSIDE DOWN - and scrunching and contorting his face into that hideous trademark scowl he does ever so naturally. Imagine voting for Trump over inflation while he was saying he would use tariffs and people thinking it wouldn't affect them. So naive. I haven't enjoyed much of Trudeau's office, but this he owns. He really laid it down here. It made me proud to be Canadian. He absolutely, kicked ass and I hope he just hammers Trump.
