The United States did not start a trade war with Canada, Trump did. The American people love Canadians. Trump is not the US.

Trump wants a literal war with Canada. He wants his name in history book. That's all it's to him, just like for Putin. Sick evil people.\n\nWhen he's going to blame Canada for the destruction of USA stock market due to his stupid tariff war, he'll pretend that's a good excuse to take the country by force. This is just plain evil. America went in one generation from hopeful and peace loving nation to Putin's best friend. Sickening.\n\nWhat does Trump think his actions are going to do? Most of the world now hates him. Most of the world now hates Elon, and Tesla. He's a destroyer, not a builder.\n\nRepublican party and everyone working in right wing media, you happy now? You happy that Putin is able to take over entire country because of your bigotness and hatred for minorities? You're going to get your FAFO too one day, that's the revolution that will not be fought with words of appeasement or be as miserable failure as Jan 6.

Watching in Hungary/Slovakia: Amazing speech - hope it's understandable also to many Americans. They need to understand it before they feel the impact of Trump's trade war w/ his frm allies. 1/2: Myself and the saner half of the US that read, understood, and voted against Proj 2025 understands why they need to levy retaliatory tariffs especially as a Michigander who's lived less than 4 hours from Canada all her life, who has family in Quebec and Ontario, and is a job-seeking policy professional and international trade nerd who now cannot in good faith seek a job in the federal government. We have been looking and still do look to Canada as a model quite a bit and love Canada and Canadians to pieces. We Michiganders especially in the central and eastern UP and Detroit and Ann Arbor area are friends, coworkers, and family of Canadians. Some are even dual citizens. It is sad that it's come to this. \n\n2/2: I still personally just can't wrap my head around how a trade deal Trump put together himself and called the best (the USMCA in question) is all of a sudden so bad. Logic doesn't work with these types of people... I really want **someone!!** to ask him/ admin officials about the USMCA **to their face** and see what they say because I am so upset by this nonsensical and corrupt administration.

I’ve talked with a lot of Swedes the last weeks and large majority of them are done with the US. People are finding alternatives to mAmerican products and services and one family told me that they won’t proceed with their plans to spend this summer in Florida. Sweden supports Canada and we would love to increase trade and other kinds of exchange with you as we are permanently leaving the totally unreliable and morally corrupted rough state USA.

As an American and a Trump supporter, I agree with these tariffs, but only equal to the tariffs other countries charge the United States on our imports. I do not agree with imposing this on our brothers and sisters to the north. I’m speaking of the good people of Canada. I have traveled to Canada and crossing the border was just like crossing into another state. Yes, there was a border gate which there should be, but I had absolutely no problem whatsoever. I hope our government can work this out very quickly and stop this foolishness. But to countries like China and Europe the United States should charge a reciprocal tariff as to what you charge us on our import. It’s only fair. Why are we paying an exuberant tariff for our goods entering your country and you expect to pay nothing with your goods entering ours. Most Americans, love Canada and love our Canadian brothers and sisters, we’ve always supported each other in world, wars, and other attacks against our respective countries. I pray this is resolved quickly, and then we can once again live United and in harmony.

This is how a leader should speak. He speaks with sincerity and with clarity. He doesnt speak broadly just to an entire audience. He speaks to each group of people that this is concerning to, and making sure we understand the magnitude of this situation. He adjusts how he speak to each group, and also to our sad president. I was planning to go to a U.S. National Park, but I guess I will go to Canada and visit theirs while also giving them my money.
